Clement Fleury
IRON MOUNTAIN - Clement F. Fleury, 84, of 1864 Mary's Way in Kingsford, died Thursday, June 9, 2005, at Freeman's Nursing Home.
He was born Oct. 25, 1920 in Marquette, son of the late Archie and Emma (Chartier) Fleury.
Clem was a native of Big Bay and graduated from Marquette Graveraet High School in 1939.
He earned his bachelor of science degree at Northern Michigan University and later took graduate work in accounting and business administration at Northwestern University. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was stationed at Fort Warren, Cheyenne, Wy.
Clem married Mildred French on Nov. 27, 1942, in Marquette. He was a certified public accountant and former president of Fleury-Singler accounting firm, retiring in 1977. In addition to being a member of St. Mary & St. Joseph Church, Clem was a member of Chippewa Club, Pine Grove Country Club, Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, Holy Name Society, 6-7-8 club, Iron Mountain-Kingsford Rotary Club, U.C.T., and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants. He loved to travel and play golf.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mildred; seven children; Clem (Phyllis) Fleury Jr. of Gladstone, Tom (Cheryl) Fleury of Ishpeming, Suzanne (Gary Sparpana) Fleury of Breitung Twp., Beverly (Jim) Tobin of Iron Mountain, Jim (Kathy) Fleury of Iron Mountain, Mike (Mary Anne) Fleury of Centennial, Colo. and Nancy (Don) Pelino of Rochester Hills, lower Michigan; two brothers, Lowell Fleury of San Antonio, Texas, and Emerson (Marian) Fleury of Marquette; 19 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four sisters, Dorothy Blaha, Grace Goldsworthy, Evelyn Dagenais, and Doris Beerman.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Monday at St. Mary & St. Joseph Church.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at St. Mary & St. Joseph Church. Fr. Daniel Zaloga will offer the Mass of Christian Burial.
Burial will be in cemetery Park.
Pallbearers will be his four sons, along with Bob Forgette Sr., Ted Fornetti Sr., Frank McKinnon, and Ralph Izzo.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Northwoods Air Lifeline.
The family has entrusted the Erickson-Rochon and Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain with the funeral arrangements.

Larry Secrist
NIAGARA, Wis. - Larry E. Secrist, 50, of 116 Pine St., Niagara, died Friday, June 3, 2005, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain after a valiant 2 1/2 year battle with Osteosarcoma (bone cancer).
He was born on Sept. 22, 1954, in Iron Mountain, son of Edward and Delores (Hover) Secrist.
Larry was a 1972 graduate of Kingsford High School and has been a resident of this area for most of his life.
He was previously employed by McConnon Contracting Co. in Grand Rapids, lower Michigan. Most recently he worked in the bakery at Econo Foods.
Larry was a very talented harmonica musician and singer and played in several area bands. He had his own band called Lonesome Larry and the Blue Tones. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and was an avid Packer and Cubs fan.
He was a very loving son and brother, who was very committed to his family. Larry had an incredible sense of humor that will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his parents, Edward and Delores (Hover) Secrist; his sisters and brother, Gayelynn Cuccinotto of Maui, Hawaii, DeeAnn (Karry Mackey) Secrist of Salt Lake City, Utah, Sandy (Dave) VanMarter of Kingsford and Eddie (Ida) Secrist of Marinette, Wis.; special nephew, Travis VanMarter and precious niece, Lynn Secrist, and nephew, Michael Micheals; numerous beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins; many special friends, Gary (Debbie) Bednarz, Kelly Strehlow, Eddie McConnon, Carla Trafzer, Donna Christensen (Paige Spencer) and many musician friends, Marcus (Penny) Carmichael, Marv (Debb) Purdue and others.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Tad and Clara Hover, Vern and Ann Secrist and two uncles, Walter and Bernard Hover.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at American Martyrs Church in Kingsford.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the church. Fr. Joseph Gouin will offer the Mass of Christian Burial.
Burial will be in the Niagara cemetery.
In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established in his memory.

Eleanor Goad
IRON MOUNTAIN - Eleanor Mae Goad, 70, of 100 West Fleshiem St., Iron Mountain, died Friday, June 3, 2005, at her home.
She was born May 10, 1935, in Milwaukee, daughter of the late Arthur and Louise (Spears) Paquette.
Eleanor married Ernest William Goad and he preceded her in death in August of 1992. She was born and raised in Milwaukee, and moved to Iron Mountain 12 years ago to be with her son after losing her husband.
She enjoyed bartending, watching TV, and playing crossword puzzles. She was a very dedicated Packer fan.
Eleanor was a loving mother to William Goad, Laurie Goad, Jim (Katie) Goad, Dolly Goad, and Michael (Robin) Goad; grandmother to Sammantha, Allen, Vilot, and Autem Goad; great-grandmother to Neveh and Aaliyah Goad.
The family will be having a time of sharing, on Saturday starting at 12 p.m. at their home located at 100 West Fleshiem St. in Iron Mountain.

Johanna Schinderle
IRON MOUNTAIN - Johanna J. Schinderle, 96, of White Birch Village, died Tuesday, May 31, 2005, at Maryhill Manor in Niagara, Wis.
She was born on March 4, 1909, in Iron Mountain, the daughter of the late John and Mary (Kattnig) Schinderle.
Hannah was a housekeeper and enjoyed playing cards. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
She is survived by a sister, Irene 'Loop' Schinderle of Iron Mountain; three nieces, Mary Ann Wyble of Kingsford, Kay Votaw of LaFayette, Colo., and Jean Williamson of Florida; and one nephew, David Johnson of Glenwood Springs, Colo.
Joey was preceded in death by three brothers, Alfred, John, and Albert Schinderle, and three sisters, Mary Bean, Eleanor Polglase, and Veronica Schinderle.
Visitation will be Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon at Tondin-Ross & Freeman Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at noon at the funeral home. Monsignor James Kaczmarek will officiate.
Burial will be in cemetery Park.
The Tondin-Ross & Freeman Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Jerome Moller
FENCE, Wis. - Jerome Robert Moller, 72, of 729 Moller Road, Fence, Wis., died Sunday, May 29, 2005, at his home in Fence after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born Oct. 31, 1932, in Homestead, Wis., the second son of the late Charles and Veronica Pauline (Nichols) Moller. He was a Korean War veteran of the United States Army.
He married the former Delores M. Kanter on Oct.15, 1955, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Florence, Wis., and they have been married for 49 years.
Jerome was a member of St. Stanislaus Kosta Parish in Armstrong Creek, Wis. He also belonged to Post 3635 of Florence. Jerome was a past member and served for several years as a representative to state on the county conservation board.
He worked for the county forestry department and was an avid woodsman, gardener, hunter and fisherman. Gardening and grandchildren were his joy and giving rosebuds to his friends who visited.
Jerome is survived by his wife, Delores; his sons, Bruce of Goodman, Wis. and Girard, Perry and Jeremy, all of Fence; daughters, Mary Peters of Denmark, Wis., Lori (Tom) Harrison, Rose (Jeff) Sternhagen, Jodel (Daryl) Neuens and Charlene (Kent) Walstrom, all of Florence County; four brothers, Laurence Moller of Oshkosh, Wis., Keith (Mary) Moller of Manitowoc, Wis., Brian (Nancy) Moller of Tennessee and Kenneth Moller of Fence; 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; nieces nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Jerome Jr. and Mark and daughter, Ami and also by a brother, Raymond; a sister, Mary Rose Brammer; and a son-in-law, Robert Peters.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Thursday, at St. Stanislaus Kosta Catholic Church in Armstrong Creek.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the church. Fr. Ed Nowalkowski will offer the Mass of the Christian Burial.
Burial will be in the Fence cemetery with lunch to follow at the Fence Town Hall.

Jean VanDusen
KINGSFORD - Jean LeMae VanDusen, 76, of 413 Birch St., Kingsford, died Friday, May 27, 2005, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wis.
She was born Aug. 2, 1928, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Carl and Vera (Wahlstrom) West. Jean was a lifelong resident and graduated from Kingsford High School in 1946.
She married George VanDusen on Sept. 11, 1954, at the Aurora Free Church. He preceded her in death on April 25, 1996.
She worked as a nurse's aide at Pine Manor for many years before retiring. She enjoyed ceramics, quilting, and was an excellent cook. Jean was an active member of the First United Presbyterian Church and the Spinning Spools Quilters.
She is survived by three sons; Gary (Sue) VanDusen and Carl (Tracy) VanDusen, both of Iron Mountain, and Gene (Gina) VanDusen of Warren, Pa.; two sisters, Joyce Lindgren of Aurora, Wis. and Janet (Robert) Sandberg of Kingsford; four grandchildren, Jackie, John, Curtis, and Gene Michael.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Curt West.
Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Tondin-Ross & Freeman Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Michael March will officiate.
Burial will be in the Homestead-Aurora cemetery.
The Tondin-Ross and Freeman Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Larry J. Rochon
NIAGARA, Wis. - Larry J. Rochon, 61, of 1064 Heights St. in Niagara, died peacefully in his sleep after a long battle with cancer.
He was born on Aug. 26, 1944 in Daggett, the son of the late Adlone and Isabelle (Vincent) Rochon.
Larry graduated from Hermansville High School in 1963. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1964 to 1968. He worked at Grede Foundry, Miller Products and Supply and Nelson Paint.
Larry enjoyed spending time with his dog Blue, hunting and fishing.
He is survived by four sons; Jeff (Colette) of Niagara; Kevin of Niagara; Joey (DeeDee Kosiba) of Niagara; and Sam (Angela) of Hillsdale, Mich.; two sisters; Renee (William) Behrend of Menominee, Mich.; and Priscilla (William) Salo of Carney; nine grandchildren, Audreanna, Tosha, Lucas, Jeffrey Jr., Brittany, Bobby, Shaydi Lynne, Jimmy and Jordan; his former wife, Judi Rochon of Florence; and his sister-in-law Linda Rochon of Vulcan.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Eldon Rochon.
Visitation will be Tuesday, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Erickson-Rochon and Nash Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. David Anderson will officiate.

Beatrice Neuens
KINGSFORD - Beatrice L. Neuens, 85, of Evergreen Heights Assisted Living in Kingsford, died Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2005, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain.
She was born Aug. 28, 1920, in Santa Rosa, Calif., daughter of the late James and Charlotte (Eickmeyer) Clark. Bea graduated from Santa Rosa High School.
She married Jacob Neuens on Jan. 20, 1940, in Aurora, Wis. He preceded her in death in 1950.
Bea worked as a secretary for Wisconsin-Michigan Power Co. for many years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she was active in the altar society. Bea volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Shop in Florence for several years. She enjoyed gardening, camping, basket weaving and playing cards with friends.
Bea is survived by a daughter, Beverly (John) Whitley of Trenton, Mo.; two sons, Martin J. (Cindy) Neuens of Tucson, Ariz. and David L. Neuens of Castle Rock, Colo.; four grandchildren, Gerri Whitley of Chicago, Cara Whitley of Manhattan Beach, Calif., Tyson Neuens of Castle Rock, Colo. and Corey Neuens of Luke Air Force Base, Ariz.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Theodore Prosser Sr. and James Leland Clark.
A memorial Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Aurora. Fr. Michael Betley will officiate.
Cremains will be interred in Quinnesec cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Shop of Florence or to a memorial which will be established in her memory.
The family has entrusted the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain with the funeral arrangements.
