Donald Jenzake
FENCE, WIS. - Donald Paul Jenzake, 47, of Fence, Wis., found peace Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2005, after a stubborn battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his family and friends at the VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain.
He is survived by his sisters, Linda and her children, Jennifer Lisiak (James Tomlinson), Carinda Lisiak, Keith Lisiak, Sonya (Dennis) Majewski and their daughters, Denya Molly and Amanda (Troy) Newmeister, Wanda Jo (Mike) Hibbard and their daughters, Brandi (Corey) Scheid and Faith Hibbard, Sandi (Jerry) Krumnow and her children, Jessica and Gregory Moehr. Also by other relatives and many friends.
He was the proud Godfather of Faith "Wiara" Hibbard.
Don was born in Milwaukee, the son of the late Leonard and Susan (Rabeigo) Jenzake. He joined the United States Army at the age of 17. After his career as a hot tar roofer in the city, he brought his construction skills to the country.
A private family service was held according to Don's wishes.
A special thanks to the staff at the VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain for their care and support.
The family has entrusted the Tondin-Ross & Freeman Funeral Home with the arrangements.

Mary Huggett
IRON MOUNTAIN - Mary Fitch Huggett, 91, of Iron Mountain., died Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2005, at Victorian Pines in Iron Mountain.
She was born in Atlanta, on July 26, 1914, daughter of the late James Briggs and Eula (Varnell) Fitch. At the age of seven, she moved with her family to Manchester, N.H., and then to Chicago where she attended and graduated with a bachelor's degree from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.
Mary married John M. Huggett in New York City in 1940. She and John spent more than 30 years of their married life in Pittsburgh, Pa. and then they moved to Grand Rapids, lower Michigan in 1980. In 1999, she moved to Spread Eagle, Wis. to live with her son Charlie and daughter in-law. The last two years, she spent at Victorian Pines Estates in Iron Mountain. She was an avid reader and was extremely sharp minded.
Mary is survived by her two sons, James (Michele) Huggett of Earlysville, Va., and Charlie (Micheline) Huggett of Spread Eagle. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, John, in 1983 and by her daughter, Anne Pride in 1989.
A family gathering will be held on Oct. 8 at the home of her son, Charlie in Spread Eagle.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Florence County Public Library.
The family would like to give special thanks for all the love and care Mary received while at Victorian Pines Estates.

Robert Gall
OCONTO, Wis. - Robert Frederick Gall, 62, of 548 Main St., Oconto, formerly of Iron Mountain, died Monday, Sept. 26, 2005, at the Bond Health Center in Oconto.
He was born on Oct. 3, 1942, in Iron River, son of the late Frederick and Myrtle (Nelson) Gall. Bob was an excellent student and graduated from Iron River High School with high honors (magna cum laude). Throughout his school years, Bob participated in forensics, theatre and band (trombone).
Bob served his country in the U.S. Navy and was stationed on the USS Markab in the Philippines for 12 months. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy on April 16, 1963.
Bob attended Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City, lower Michigan for two years. He worked at New View Industries in Gillett, Wis. doing a variety of jobs including minor parts assembly.
Bob enjoyed going to the movies with friends from PWK Inc. and going to Crivellos with his friend Mike on Fridays. He was an avid Milwaukee Brewers fan and loved watching baseball with his father, Fred. Bob also loved museums and anything that was intellectually stimulating.
Bobby, as his mother Myrtle affectionately called him, had a kind and generous Christian heart.
Survivors include his sister, Faye M. Kutzleb of Oshkosh, Wis.; his niece and guardian, Melanie G. Kutzleb and his great-nephew, Seth S. A. Kutzleb, both of Green Bay, Wis.
Visitation will be Friday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Oconto Gospel Chapel, 251 Michigan Ave., Oconto, Wis., 54153.
Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the chapel. Pastor Adam Sellen will officiate. The Uren-Cooper-Johnson American Legion Post 50 will conduct military graveside honors at 1:30 p.m. on Friday at cemetery Park in Iron Mountain.
The family has entrusted the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain with the funeral arrangements.
The family would like to extend a special 'thank you' to the staff at Oconto Bond Center, staff and friends at PWK Inc. (especially Pam), the staff at New View Industries (especially Rick) and the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home.

Beverly LaCost
KINGSFORD - Beverly J. LaCost, 65, of 901 Woodward Ave, Kingsford, died Monday, Sept. 26, 2005, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain.
She was born on Oct. 8, 1939, in Kingsford, the daughter of the late Arthur and Alice (LaPointe) Schultz.
She graduated from Kingsford High School in 1957.
Beverly worked for many years at the Veteran's Administration Medical Center in Iron Mountain. She enjoyed doing projects with her grandchildren, reading, knitting, gardening, and collecting antiques. Beverly and her husband, Ron, built a Victorian dollhouse.
She was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, where she served on the church council and was a member of the Lydia Circle. She also belonged to Zonta and the Christian Women's Club.
She married Ronald LaCost on Sept. 3, 1960, at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church.
Beverly is survived by her husband, Ronald; a daughter, Julie of Iron Mountain; a son, David (Danielle) of Merrillan, Wis.; two sisters, Dorothy (Joe) Dorfler of Cedarburg, Wis. and Carol (Don) Wilson of Mansfield, Texas; two brothers, Bob (Rose) Schultz and Don (Char) Schultz, both of Iron Mountain; three grandchildren, Vince Mancuso, and Lydia and Alexis LaCost; a brother-in-law, Edward LaCost of Holly, lower Michigan and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edward and Lydia LaCost; a sister and brother-in-law, Marion and Jerry Frickelton; a sister-in-law, Dot LaCost; two nieces and a nephew.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. at the church. Rev. Stephen Cowen will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the church or the Springlake Humane Society.
The Tondin-Ross & Freeman Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Gordon MacNees
IRON MOUNTAIN - Gordon E. MacNees, 85, formerly of Beloit, Wis., passed away suddenly at his home on Sunday, Sept. 25, 2005, with his loving wife Catherine at his side.
Gordon was born Jan. 13, 1920, in Beloit, son of the late James Glen and Ada (Shores) MacNees. He joined the Navy on Oct.11, 1943, and served in Normandy during World War II. Gordon was a service engineer for Bendix Corp. and Ryco Corp., traveling extensively until his retirement in 1986.
He and his wife, Catherine spent their retirement in Florida for a number of years before moving to Iron Mountain in 1999.
Gordon was a dedicated member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Iron Mountain. He very much enjoyed golf, gardening, and woodworking. Gordon especially enjoyed building heirlooms for his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.
Gordon is survived by his wife, Catherine Jane MacNees of Iron Mountain; four daughters, Julie Cable of Tulsa, Okla., Ronda (Doug) Bach of Wheaton, Ill., Carol (Gene) Whippler of Spread Eagle, Wis., and Sue (Dave) Draves of Brodhead, Wis.; three sons, David (Maggie) Guetschow of Sparta, Wis., Ronald 'Buddy' MacNees of Beloit, Wis., and Gordon Lee MacNees of Beloit, Wis.; 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lois Marshall and her husband, Charles; two sisters, Wilma Hannaman and Ada Mae Armstrong; and a brother, Harvey MacNees.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 12 noon to 3 p.m. at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Iron Mountain. The Uren-Cooper-Johnson American Legion Post 50 will conduct military honors at 2:30 p.m.
Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. Thursday at the church. Rev. Stephen Cowen will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Mack MacNees, Matthew Meyers (Whippler), Gene Whippler, Doug Mahar, Dave Draves and Pastor Lee Liverance.
The family has entrusted the Erickson-Rochon and Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain with the funeral arrangements.

Lucile Carey
CHANNING - Lucile Carey died peacefully and in the presence of family on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2005, at Iron County Medical Care Facility in Crystal Falls. She was 78.
She was born Lucile Margaret Anderson on June 19, 1927, in Chicago. Lucile's family moved north to Sagola. She was the eldest of Richard and Rose Anderson's six children and, as such, took on the many responsibilities expected of a big sister.
Nine days after Valentine's Day in 1946, she married her sweetheart, Lawrence Carey. Lucile and Lawrence began their marriage in a small cabin on the Turner Road in Channing and later moved to their home overlooking Sawyer Lake. They raised a daughter, Judy, and three sons, Larry, David and Michael, and became grandparents to 11 adoring grandchildren. She is remembered by her sisters, Lois Stacy, Louise Adams, Janet Fredrickson and Patt Golomb, and her brother, Theodore Anderson.
Lucile loved spending time and celebrating with her family. She treasured her many dear friends. She was hearty and industrious, a skilled smear player, and enjoyed the music of Patsy Cline, chocolate and an occasional Canadian Club.
Lucile was a devoted member of the Grace Presbyterian Church in Sagola where she served as a deacon, a member of session, an elder, and moderator of the Grace Presbyterian Church Women's Association. It was at this church where she celebrated her tremendous faith and studied the word of God.
Lucile will be honored at Grace Presbyterian Church in Sagola on Sunday, during the visitation from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
A memorial service will immediately follow at 3 p.m.
Please consider a memorial to the church in lieu of flowers.

Robert Burke
IRON MOUNTAIN - Robert P. "Robbie" Burke, 36, of W9268 Russell St., Iron Mountain, died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2005, at his home.
Robbie was born Jan. 10, 1969, in Iron Mountain, son of Kenneth G. and Dorothy (Moddie) Burke. He was a lifelong resident of the area and graduated from Kingsford High School in 1987. Robbie went on to obtain a bachelor's degree in architectural engineering from Lawrence Tech University.
Robbie was a dedicated longtime employee of Grede Foundries as an industrial engineer and truly loved his job and his co-workers. He enjoyed carpentry, fishing and the outdoors. Robbie loved art and was very artistic.
He is survived by his parents, Kenneth and Dorothy Burke of Kingsford; a brother, Ken (Dawn) Burke of Kingsford; a sister, Connie (Michael) Pelletier of Iron Mountain; his paternal grandparents, Truman and Colleen Burke and maternal grandmother, Verna Moddie; special nieces and nephews, Alexis, Samantha, Brian and Jared; very special cousin and best friend, Walter Thomas; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Robbie was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Walter Moddie.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain.
Memorial services will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. James Danielson will officiate.

Edward Chapman
KINGSFORD - Edward Chapman, 106, of Kingsford, died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2005, at ManorCare Health Services in Kingsford.
He was born on April 28, 1899, in Calumet, the son of the late Walter and Mary Ann (Hicks) Chapman.
Mr. Chapman worked for Ford Motor Co. He was the oldest member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. He was also a member of the Free and Accepted Masons of Iron Mountain, the Shriners, the Scottish Rite, the K Club and a charter member of the Golden K. Ed enjoyed gardening and singing with the Golden Throats and the Our Saviour's Lutheran Church choir.
He married Grace Carlson in 1917. She preceded him in death in 1980.
Ed is survived by one son, Myron (Carmen) of Salamanca, N.Y.; three daughters, Marjorie Uren of Kingsford, Betty (Jack) Hosking of Iron Mountain, and Doris (Herb) Knudsen of Kingsford;10 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by six brothers, Walter, Art, George, William, Henry, and Wesley, two sisters, Ellen and Harriet, and a grandson, Bob Hosking.
Visitation will beheld on Friday from 10 a.m. to11 a.m. at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. at the church. Rev. Stephen Cowen will officiate
Burial will in cemetery Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Saviour's Lutheran Church.
