Campbell, Naomi Ruth
April 10, 1930 - March 31, 2006

Naomi R. Campbell, 75, of Rosebush, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2006, at home with her family by her side.

Funeral services for Naomi will be held on Monday, April 3, 2006 at 11 a.m. from St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Rosebush with Fr. Raymond Moeggenberg and Lorraine McGuiness officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Henry’s cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 2, 2006 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. at Clark Funeral Chapel. A prayer service for Naomi will be held on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral chapel. Visitation will also take place on Monday, April 3rd from 10 a.m. until time of service at the Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Michigan or St Henry’s / St. Charles Catholic Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel and the Church.

Naomi was born April 10, 1930, in Mt. Pleasant the daughter of Lee and Olive (Tripp) Anspach. She married Robert H. Campbell on September 24, 1949 in Mt. Pleasant. Robert preceded her in death on February 21, 1996. Naomi graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School, the Class of 1947. She was a member of the St. Henry’s and St. Charles Catholic Church. Naomi enjoyed playing cards with her family.

Naomi is survived by seven children: Mary (John) Straight of Mt. Pleasant; Barb (Ben) Berry of Leo, Indiana; Sue (Bill) Kriss of Rosebush; Tim Campbell of Toledo, OH; Nancy (Jeff) Walworth of Mt. Pleasant; Jeff (Deb) Campbell of Rosebush and Dan Campbell of Coleman; fifteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; brothers, Ray (Janice) Anspach of Alma and Richard (Joyce) Anspach of Livonia; sisters, Marie Gross of Midland; Jean (Robert) Briggs of Midland and Alice (Robert) Louisell of Mt. Pleasant.

Naomi was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert and a brother in law, Bill Gross.

Miller, Dorothy Carrie
May 16, 1923 - March 30, 2006

Dorothy Carrie Miller, age 82, of Rosebush, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2006, at Isabella County Medical Care Facility.

Funeral services for Dorothy will be held on Monday, April 3rd at 11 a.m. from Clark Funeral Chapel with Rev. Sue Olsen officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday April 2nd from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia Foundation. Envelopes will be available at Clark Funeral Chapel.

Dorothy was born May 16, 1923, in Flint, Michigan the daughter of Walter and Effie May (Bonnett) Pifer. She married Jesse Elden Miller on March 8, 1940 in Clare, Michigan.

Dorothy is survived by three children: Larry (Barbara) Miller of Mt. Pleasant; David (Elizabeth) Miller of Mt. Pleasant; Bonnie (Jay) Kerney of St. Georges, Grenada, West Indies; Grandchildren, Darren (Cheryl) Kerney of Virginia, Carrie (Greg) Halsey of Annapolis, MD, Christian (Jeffery) Kennedy of Mt. Pleasant, Andrea (Brian) Wentworth of Mt. Pleasant, Julie (Michael) Viele of Midland, Matthew Miller of Rosebush and Margaret (Jeffery) Hovey of Rosebush; great-grandchildren, Jay, Andrew and Casey Kennedy, Lexie, Ashton and Trueman Wentworth, Brody, Bean and McCoy Hovey, Caitlin, Brooke and Jordyn Viele, Noah Kerney and Arielle and Chase Halsey and one sister, Ruth Pifer

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband; parents, one sister and five brothers.

Spalding, Dr. Robert
October 1, 1928 - March 24, 2006

Dr. Robert Spalding Veterinarian, age 77 of Mt. Pleasant died on March 24, 2006 at the Isabella County Medical Care Facility.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday April 8th at 11 a.m. at the Clark Funeral Chapel in Mt. Pleasant, luncheon to follow. Rev. Greg Buchner will officiate.

Bob was born October 1, 1928 in Mt. Kisco, New York, the son of Leland Fanning Spalding Sr., and Helen (Fielding) Spalding. Bob served in the United States Army from 1952 to 1954. He graduated from Michigan State University with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. He practiced at Broomfield Animal Hospital in Mt. Pleasant since 1965.

Bob is survived by his wife, Virginia “Jenny” (Ashby Craig) Spalding of Mt. Pleasant, son, Kermit Roger Spalding (Marcia) of Nacogdochaes, Texas, and daughter Karen Harrington of Rosebush. There are 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Also surviving are his brother, Dr. Leland Spalding and wife (Reecy) of Carmichel, CA. and sister, Dottie (Don) Fortman of Cardiff by the Sea, CA.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Foundation of America (www. alzfdn.org) or to American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org). Donations will also be accepted at Clark Funeral Chapel.

Glinke, Sharon L.
November 4, 1943 - March 23, 2006

Sharon L. Glinke, age 62, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2006, at her home.

Funeral services for Sharon will be held on Wednesday, March 29th, at 2 p.m. from Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Mark Behenna and Rev. Ron Vredeveld officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 29th, from noon until time of service at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Michigan. Envelopes will be available at Clark Funeral Chapel or Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Sharon was born November 4, 1943, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Robert and Dorothy (Robb) Clark. She married Gerald Glinke on September 7, 1992. Sharon was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She enjoyed working with A.I.M. Association of Interfaith Ministries. Sharon will always be remembered as “the blonde in a wheelchair, with the cool car topper”. Sharon worked hard to teach people about accepting handicaps and making life more accessible for the handicapped.

Sharon is survived by five children: Julie (Bob) Dailey of St. Louis, Debra (Drew) Anderson of Traverse City, Gail (Steve) Smith of Mayville, Scott (Tina) Sensabaugh of Divide, CO, and Lana Morford (Chuck Covert) of Sumner; 13 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brother, Robert (Nancy) Clark of Greenville; sister, Betty (Matt) Mier of West Branch; sisters-in-law, Grace Badour, Goldie Moon, Gaytha Peak; and brother-in-law, George (Margaret) Glinke.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Gerald on April 10, 2004

Hass, Harold William
February 27, 1911 - June 2, 2001

Harold William Hass, 90, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2001, at Central Michigan Community Hospital.

Funeral services for Harold will be held on Tuesday, June 5th, at 11 a.m. at Clark Funeral Chapel with Rev. Samuel Reith of Zion Lutheran Church officiating. Cremation will take place after the service with interment of cremains following in the Two Rivers cemetery in Isabella County. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 4th, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Clark Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions in memory of Harold may be made to Community Cancer Services. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Harold was born on February 27, 1911, in Hilbert, Wisconsin, the son of William and Minnie (Lueke) Hass. He married Viola Bach in 1939 in Plymouth, Michigan. Harold had worked as a security supervisor for Ford Motor Company and for Greenfield Village from 1937-1975 until his retirement. Harold was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Detroit. He enjoyed wood working.

Harold is survived by his wife, Viola, of Mt. Pleasant; his children Sandra E. Krulicki (Frank) of Lake Isabella and William W. Hass (Melissa) of Charlotte; his 6 grandchildren, Terri Gammicchia, Donna Guthrie, Brian Krulicki, Jody Lepple, Bill Hass and Anita Hass; his 7 great-grandchildren, Rachel and Tara Gammicchia, Brandon, Lisa and Jason Guthrie, Austin Lepple, and Emma Krulicki.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, and 2 sisters.

Schueller, Virginia Grace
January 18, 1935 - June 1, 2001

Virginia Grace Schueller, 66, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Friday, June 1, 2001, at her home.

A Funeral Mass for Virginia will be held on Monday, June 4th at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Robert Byrne officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 3rd, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Clark Funeral Chapel. There will be a vigil service Sunday evening at the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Michigan. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Virginia was born on January 18, 1935, in Beal City, the daughter of John and Emma (Schmidt) Tilmann. She married William Joseph Schueller on August 31, 1957. Virginia was a graduate of Beal City High School and the University of Michigan. She had worked as a registered dental hygienist for Dr. Bradford, Dr. Pearsall, and Dr. Sweeney as well as a seamstress. Virginia was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing the piano as well as sewing, traveling, and antiques.

Viriginia is survived by her husband, William; her children, Diana Amos (Leon) of Wyoming, Michigan, Deborah Schueller of Austin, Texas, Brian Schueller (Valerie) of Grand Rapids, and Karen Clark (Andrew) of Oxford; 5 grandchildren, Christina Amos, Kyle and Kanda Schueller, and Tanner and Emma Clark; 2 sisters, Teresa Anderson of Eugene, Oregon and Sr. Vera Ann Tilmann of Grand Rapids.

Virginia was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Norman and Arthur, and 1 sister, Sr. Jean Paul Tilmann.

Willis, Nelle Ruth
January 25, 1921 - May 26, 2001

Nelle Ruth Willis, 80, of Shepherd, passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2001, at her daughter’s home.

Funeral services for Nelle will be held on Thursday, May 31st at 2 p.m. from the Greensky Hill United Methodist Church in Charlevoix with Rev. Robert Faulman officiating. Interment will follow in the Greensky Indian cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 30th at the Greensky Hill United Methodist Church beginning at 1 p.m.

Nelle was born on January 25, 1921, in Bay City to William and Amelia (Silas) Ashmun. She married Homer George Willis on November 9, 1946. Homer predeceased Nelle on November 27, 1995. Nelle was employed for 30 years as a nurse for Bay Medical Center in Bay City, retiring in 1981. She was a member of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe. Nelle was also a member of the Greensky Hill Indian Mission and a former member of the Church of God.

Nelle is survived by her children, Charles H. Willis of Mulliken, Michigan, and Carole A. Tally (Roger) of Shepherd; and 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Nelle was preceded in death by her husband; her son Gary Willis, infant twins Linda and Larry, brothers Lawrence, Ernie, Charles, Joseph; and sisters Bessie and Irene.

VanBuskirk, Gerald "Jerry"
June 28, 1929 - May 25, 2001

Gerald “Jerry” VanBuskirk, 71, of Rosebush died on Friday, May 25, 2001, at the Isabella County Medical Care Facility after a courageous two-year battle with cancer.

Funeral service for Gerald will be held on Tuesday, May 29th, at 2 p.m. from Clark Funeral Chapel. Rev. Mary Ann Evans-Justin and Rev. Alec Brooks will co-officiate with interment to take place at Woodland cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Chapel on Monday, May 28th, from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice.

Gerald was born June 28, 1929, in Farwell to Gabe and Larilla (Clark) VanBuskirk. He married Florence House August 7, 1948, at the Presbyterian Church in Rosebush. Gerald worked as a facility technician for G.T.E. for 35 years. He was a member of the Rosebush Presbyterian Church. Gerald loved his family and liked to help people.

Gerald is survived by his wife Florence and two sons David Gerald VanBuskirk and Duane David VanBuskirk of Rosebush. He is also survived by his brother Chester (Dorothy) VanBuskirk of Vestaburg and his sister Agnes (Herb) Shilling of Inverness, Florida.

Spacht, Clyde Martin
January 12, 1941 - May 25, 2001

Clyde Martin Spacht, 60, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Friday, May 25, 2001 at his home.

A Memorial Service for Clyde will be held on Tuesday, May 29th, at 11 a.m. from the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mt. Pleasant. Pastor Terry Nordheim will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Association or the Immanuel Lutheran Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Clyde was born January 12, 1941, in Preble County, Ohio to Gordon and Janis Spacht. Clyde married Sheila Ramsower July 2, 1968. Rev. Clyde was a retired pastor from the Faith Lutheran Church in Sidney, Michigan. Prior to this, he had served at St. Peter’s in Unionville, Michigan from 1967-1971. He was on the Eight-CAP Board for 4 years and was a member of the Montcalm County Lions for 3 years. Clyde was very active in church activities and acted as a visitation pastor for the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Mt. Pleasant.

Clyde is survived by his wife, Sheila; his children, Gregory Paul Spacht of Long Beach, California and Beth Elaine Spacht of Mt. Pleasant; his siblings John Spacht (Susan) and Brenda Zell (Stan), both of Dayton, Ohio.

Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Janis and his brother, Robert Spacht.

Caraway, Glenda Jeanne
July 14, 1938 - May 24, 2001

Glenda Jeanne Caraway, 62, of Weidman passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2001, at her daughter’s home in Rosebush.

Funeral service for Glenda will be held on Tuesday, May 29th, at 10 a.m. from the First Church of Christ. Mr. Ivan Odor of the First Church of Christ will officiate. Interment will take place on Tuesday, May 29 at 2:30 p.m. at Deepdale Memorial Gardens cemetery in Lansing.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Chapel on Monday, May 28th, from 6-9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Cancer Services and the Make A Wish Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Glenda was born July 14, 1938, in Des Moines, Iowa to Sylvester and Ruth (Way) Estes. Glenda married Richard Brooks Caraway on September 26, 1985 in Diamondale, Michigan. He preceded her in death in August of 1998.
Glenda retired from her position as a supervisor for the Secretary of State office in Lansing in the spring of 1992. Prior to this she had worked for the State of Michigan Health Department as a data processor. Glenda participated in the Womens Bible Study at the First Church of Christ. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, crocheting, painting and crossword puzzles.

Glenda is survived by her children, Cathy Crawford (Gregory) of Rosebush, Mark Edmondson (Dawn) of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Christopher Edmondson (Jennifer) of Kalamazoo; step children, Richard Caraway(Lori) of Seattle, Washington, Christine Rivers (Mike) of Kansas City, Missouri and Brad Caraway of Seattle, Washington; thirteen grandchildren, Matthew, Laura and Jessica Crawford, Elizabeth and Christian Edmondson, Amber, Alyssa, Travis, Jeremy and Samantha Edmondson, Sean and Jordan Rivers, Dylan Caraway and one great grandchild, Loren Elizabeth, Glenda is also survived by her brother, Leroy Estes (Miriam) of Port St. Lucia, Florida.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester and Ruth; husband Richard; and a daughter, Christy Diane Edmondson.

Huffman, Sr., Daniel Sherman
April 24, 1922 - May 21, 2001

Daniel Sherman Huffman, Sr., 79, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Monday, May 21, 2001, at The Laurels of Mt. Pleasant.

Funeral services for Daniel will be held on Thursday, May 24th, at 12 noon from Clark Funeral Chapel. The Reverend Nancy Casey-Fulton will officiate with interment to take place at Memorial Gardens cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Chapel on Thursday, May 24th, from 10 a.m. until time of service.

Daniel was born April 24, 1922, in South Bloomingville, Ohio, to Loren and Ella (Lindsey) Huffman. Daniel married Donna Black on August 15, 1942. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. After the war, Daniel worked at Borden's Creamery and Leonard Refinery. In 1967 he became the foreman of the power plant at C.M.U. where he worked for twenty years and retired in 1987. Daniel enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and going to auctions.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Donna, and three children, Dianna Marshall (Hugo) of Indian River, Dean Huffman of Mt. Pleasant, and Dave Huffman and Kim Larrance of Mt. Pleasant, his daughter-in-law, Margaret C. Huffman of Weidman; his six grandchildren: Ron Huffman (Kathy), Amy Martin (Charles), Tim Ninke (Kristi), Trev Marshall, Cassie Huffman and Shannon Huffman and four great-grandchildren; Tara Huffman, Kalee Martin, Courtney and Christopher Ninke. He is also survived by his brothers, Wayne Huffman (Mary Lou) of St. Clair, MI and John Huffman (Mary Lou) of Ithaca and his sister, Pansy Hynus of Ohio.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Loren and Ella, his stepmother, Iva M. Huffman, his son, Daniel S. Huffman Jr., two brothers, Clyde and Si and two sisters, Edna Bauman and Edith Ritenour.
