Terry Hyatt

Terry A. Hyatt, 56, of Kimball, passed away on Friday, Oct. 22, 2004 in his residence unexpectedly.

He was born Oct. 15, 1948 in Freeburn, KY, son of the late Charles and Marie Hyatt.

Terry married Sherri L. Antrobus on Sept. 25, 1999 in Port Huron.

He served in the United States Navy; was a former employee of the New Haven Foundry; and was attended St. Clair County Community College. He was an avid outdoorsman.

Terry is survived by his wife, Sherri L. Antrobus of Kimball; son, William Antrobus of Kimball; son, Charles Antrobus of Kimball; daughter, Ricky Hyatt and her fiance', Allen Rogders of Port Huron; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Patti Volkening of Clinton Twp.; daughter, Deanna Volkening of St. Clair Shores; several grandchildren; mother-in-law, Mary Antrobus of Port Huron; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Selena and Michael Rambo of Kimball; half-brother, Kenneth "Buck" and Ann Hooker of Corunna, Ontario; and several nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. today at Wadhams Lions Club, I94 and Water St. The Rev. Duwyan Bishop of the Apostolic Church of Port Huron will officiate.

Visiting hours are 1 to 3 p.m. today at the Wadhams Lions Club.

Cremation arrangements are by Jowett Funeral Home, 1634 Lapeer Ave. at 17th St.

Memorial tributes may be made to the wishes of the family.

Alexander Pickelhaupt

Alexander James Pickelhaupt, age 75, of Valdosta, Georgia passed away August 17, 2004 at his home in Georgia.

James was born November 14, 1928 in Port Huron to the late Fred and Mary Pickelhaupt.

He retired from Prestolite Wire Corporation of Tifton Georgia in 1991 after 42 years of service. He served with the U.S. Army Military Police from 1951 to 1953.

James is survived by his wife, Prudence; step-son, Nader (Kay) Newash; grandson, Nolan Newash, all of Arlington Heights, Illinois; 2 brothers, David (Betty) Pickelhaupt of Marysville, and The Rev. Richard (Joan) Pickelhaupt of St. Clair Shores; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Friday in the Smith Family Funeral Home - North, 1525 Hancock Street with The Rev. Gordon Peterson of St. Paul's Lutheran Church officiating.

Visitation will also take place on Friday from 11 a.m. until the hour of service.

A graveside committal service will follow in Lakeside cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mark, Terry, and Scott Pickelhaupt, Shawn MacPherson, Ryan Dowd, and Nader Newash.

Memorials may be made to the Hospice of South Georgia, 205 Woodrow Wilson, P.O. Box 1727 Valdosta, GA 31603.

Shirley Hutchinson

Shirley M. Hutchinson, age 68, of Fort Gratiot, died August 23, 2004 in the Evangelical Home after a long illness.

She was born September 6, 1935 in Port Huron, and was a life long area resident.

She married Earl M. Hutchinson on February 4, 1955 in Port Huron. He died May 27, 2003.

Shirley drove a school bus for the Port Huron Area School District for over 25 years. She was a former member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church. She loved the outdoors, especially fishing at the old dock, camping, and picking blueberries with her family.

She is survived by two daughters, Charlene L. (Leonard) Woodyard and Sherry Ann Hutchinson, both of Port Huron; five sons, John A. (Cathy) Hutchinson of Burtchville, Timothy E. Hutchinson, David H. Hutchinson, Robert M. (Melanie) Hutchinson, all of Port Huron, Raymond F. (Melissa) Hutchinson of Palms; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Robert (Judy) Sass, Earl (JoAnn) Sass, and Eldon (Evelyn) Sass; and her dog, Bandit.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Nora L. Hutchinson; and a brother, Donald Sass.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Smith Family Funeral Home - North, 1525 Hancock Street.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the St. Clair County Humane Society.

John Campbell

John H. Campbell, 84 of St. Clair Twp., passed away on Friday, August 19, 2005. He was born to Elmer and Ethel Campbell on September 17, 1920 in Port Huron, attended the Port Huron schools, graduated from Port Huron High School, and attended engineering school at the University of Chicago.

John married Ina Horton on August 27, 1940 in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Emmett. She passed away September 5, 1977. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army.

John went into business with his son-in-law, Kenneth Shaw, when they founded Campbell-Shaw Steel Fabrication, Inc. in 1973. He was a local developer for many years working with local architects and engineers, especially Tom Valentine.

He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clair and was a member of the Marysville Lions Club for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing golf. He had been a longtime member of Black River Country Club and was currently a member of St. Clair River Country Club. As a member of Nomads, John traveled extensively and took two trips around the world.

John is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Karen A. and Kenneth Shaw of St. Clair Twp.; two grandchildren, Tracy L. (Jon A.) Zulauf of Naperville, IL & Kevin J. (Amy) Shaw of St. Clair; a brother, Russell (Valerie) Campbell of Port Charlotte, FL; and nieces & nephews.

He was especially fond of his four great grandchildren, Jenna L., Ashley M., & Brian J. Zulauf, and Ryan K. Shaw with whom he spent many happy hours.

The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 26, 2005 in St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clair. The Rev. Fr. Michael Bertram, Pastor of St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverlawn cemetery, Marysville. Visitation will be at the church beginning at 10:00 a.m. Friday.

Contributions may be made in John's memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital. Arrangements are by Smith Family Funeral Home-North, 1525 Hancock St.

Franklin Oldham

On October 19, 2005, Franklin E. Oldham was called to come and take his place in heaven. Now he plays his drums for the Lord.

Born on September 1, 1941 in Port Huron to the late Norine Green and Fred Oldham, Frank graduated from Port Huron High School in 1959 and married Patricia Stimmell on July 9, 1977. He was a life-long Port Huron resident, and he worked for Mechanics Uniform (formerly Cadillac Overall) until his retirement in 1995.

Frank loved hockey and he coached at both the pee wee and squirt levels. He enjoyed boating for many years but his first love was music. As a child he played in the City Band with his father. Later he was a member of the PHHS Marching Band as well as the Cascaders and many other local bands.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, & uncle. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Oldham; two sons, Daniel L. (Mary Rehberg) Oldham of North Tanawanda, NY and Fredrick A. (Lisa Johnson) Oldham of Newport Ritchey, FL; daughter, Shellie S. (Steven) Shaw of Paw Paw, MI; four granddaughters, Madisyn & MacKenzie Oldham, and Jillian & Alicia Oldham; several aunts, uncles, and cousins including a dear aunt, Beverly McCully.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 22, 2005 in Smith Family Funeral Home-North, 1525 Hancock St. Elder David Teeple will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Hope cemetery at a later time. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ryan & Pat Gray, Tom Stimmell, Ross Palmer, Cliff Friedland, and Gary Crawford. Contributions may be made in Frank's memory to his family.

Gertrude Wood

Gertrude M. Wood, age 82, of Port Huron died Sunday, July 31, 2005 in the Evangelical Home after a long illness. She was born December 3, 1922 in New York and also lived in Bay City and Port Huron. Gertrude loved to read, and was an excellent cook. She worked as a chef in New York, Bay City and Port Huron. Cooking was her life and she had a heart of gold. She is survived by her daughter, Alice Whitehead of Port Huron; 3 granddaughters, Janie Whitehead, Winona London, both of Port Huron, and Katherine (Anthony) Tocco of St. Clair Shores; 1 grandson, Vernon Whitehead (Michele); 7 great-grandchildren, Zachary, Niklas, Haley, Noah, Novie, Samantha, and Andrew; and several nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating her life will be given on August 14, 2005, 1:00 pm at Northport Towers. Donations can be made in Gertrude's memory to the American Diabetes Association and Lighthouse Hospice. Smith Family Funeral Home - North was in charge of arrangements.

Eugene Tucker

Eugene Delbert "Red" Tucker, age 73, of Goodells, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2005 at his home after a long illness.

He was born Oct. 21, 1931 in Indiana.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Wilma Jean; son, Robert James (Lucy) Tucker; daughter, Karen (Jim) Rostine; sister, Shirley (Richard) O'Connor; brother, Gilbert (Cecila) Tucker; several nieces and nephews; grandchildren and greatgrandchildren; stepdaughters, Betty Nolte, Dolly Sawdon, Terri Dalecki, Jeannette Rigmaiden; stepson, William A. Newton; several stepgrandchildren and stepgreatgrandchildren; very special and true friends, Robert and Mary Somma; his faithful dog, Tiny; and his adopted brother, William Collins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sussanne Tucker; brothers, Earl and Robert Tucker; son, Eugene Earl Tucker; and granddaughter, Tina Marie Tucker.

Cremation has taken place.

Arrangements are by Jowett Funeral Home, 1634 Lapeer Ave. at 17th St. Port Huron.

Leona Roskey

Leona Roskey, 74 of West Allis, Wisconsin, found peace on October 13, 2005. She was born to the late Clifford and Hazel Middleton on January 19, 1931 in Port Huron, and married Ronald Roskey on June 25, 1964.

Leona loved her family and she enjoyed running a Day Care from her home. In her spare time she enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and knitting items that she donated to the local hospitals.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald Roskey; her children, Ronda (Dennis) Thorne of Wisconsin, and Sherry Ware, Ronald Spencer, & Cathy (Wayne) Bolton, all of Port Huron; her grandchildren, Della, Mary, Teresa, Gordon, Julie, Ronnie Jr., Leona, Roxi, and Dee Jay; nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Judy (Bernie) Duckworth of Port Huron and Mary (Joe) Rumble of Kimball; her brother James (Shirley) Middleton of Harrison, MI; and several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

A service in Leona's memory will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 24, 2005 in Smith Family Funeral Home-South, 1230 Seventh St. Pastor David Caswell will officiate. Interment will be in Lambs cemetery. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Monday beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Helen Lymburner

Helen J. Hull Lymburner, age 76, of Naples, Florida and Port Huron, died Monday, September 26, 2005 in her Port Huron home after a long illness.

She was born September 4, 1929 in Port Huron. Helen married Robert K. Lymburner on December 16, 1950.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Robert K. Lymburner of Port Huron, a daughter, Suze (John) Brandon of Naples, Florida; three sons, Todd Lymburner of Mt. Clemmens, Mark Lymburner of Naples, Florida, and Scott (Patricia) Lymburner of Port Huron; one granddaughter, Allison Lymburner of Port Huron; a sister, Ethel Sweeney and a brother; Harold (Maxine) Hull.

She was preceded in death by a sister Doris Thomas.

A memorial service will take place at 1 p.m. Friday in the Smith Family Funeral Home North, 1525 Hancock Street with The Rev. Max Amstutz officiating.

Friends may visit with the family beginning at 12 noon on Friday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Blue Water Hospice.

Zada Stevens

Zada Elizabeth Stevens died February 25, 2005, at Highland Care Center in Bellingham, Washington. She was 89.

She was born in Port Huron, MI, to Walter and Zada (Stephenson) Stevens, and had been a resident of Bellingham since 1976.

Ms. Stevens was a graduate and former faculty member of Biola University in LaMirada, CA. She was also a graduate of Westmont College, Santa Barbara, CA., with a B.A. in Christian Education; of Wheaton College, Wheaton, IL., with an M.A. in Christian Education; and of UCLA, with a B.A. in Elementary Education. She was a Special Education teacher for 16 years in the Los Angeles Public Schools.

Ms. Stevens enjoyed traveling and had visited 93 countries.

Survivors include her sister Florence "Polly" DeLano of La Jolla, CA; her cousin Allen B. Stevens of Port Huron and her cousin John M. Stevens of Largo, FL; one nephew and three nieces.

Memorials may be made to Northlake Community Church, 1741 E. McLeod Rd., Bellingham, WA 98225

A graveside Interment Service will be held Saturday, July 9, 2005 at 11 a.m. on the family lot in Lakeside cemetery, Port Huron. The Rev. Robert Trask, Pastor of Grace Epicopal Church will officiate.

Margaret Ordowski

Margaret Hyde Ordowski passed away September 13, 2005 at Marwood Nursing and Rehab. She was born December 11, 1916 in Port Huron to the late Jen and Jim Hyde. Margaret was a long-time volunteer in the Port Huron community, assisting the American Cancer Society, the Soup Kitchen and St. Joseph's Catholic Church where she was also a long-time parishioner.

Margaret was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Edwin. She is survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Robert and Irene Ordowski and Carl and Helen Albert of Port Huron and Betty Tarte (Grand Rapids, MI); nieces & nephews, Judith (Stan) Stinik of Arlington, VA, Susan Hyde of Coos Bay, Oregon, Janie Bruen of Lansing, Michigan, Ann (Michael) Carmody of Webster, NY; Carol (Cindy) Albert, Carol Ann Albert, Chris (Craig) Miller, Craig (Patty) Albert, and Jim (Vicky) Ordowski, all of Port Huron; Carol (Rob) Gunn of St. Clair, Betty Ann (David) Worley of Fort Wayne, IN, Joan (Jack) Smith of Grand Rapids, MI and Bob (Linda) Tarte of Lowell, MI; Donna and Stan, Stephen and Michael Stinik (Virginia) and Michaela L. Festin.

She was preceded in death by her brother George Hyde and sisters Catherine and Elizabeth (Betty) Hyde.

The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M., Friday, September 16, 2005 in St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. Fr. John Klien of St. Jerard Catholic Church, Lansing, MI, will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Catholic cemetery. Visitation will be held in Smith Family Funeral Home-South, 1230 Seventh St., beginning at 9:30 A.M. Friday,

Contributions may be made in Margaret's memory to the American Cancer Society.

Mona Studaker

Mona B. Studaker, 76 of Port Huron, passed away Friday, September 30, 2005 in the home of her granddaughter, Valerie Rhadigan. She was born to Harold and Mildred Agnew on September 4, 1929 in Blaine, MI and married George Cameron in 1946. He preceded her in death. She married Lewis Studaker in 1973 and he passed away in 1982.

Mona loved being with her family and especially loved to baby sit. She was a superb mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino, and crocheting. She is survived by two daughters, Rose (John) Nickles of Oil Springs, Ontario and Lynn (Tom) Thompson of Port Huron; five grandchildren, Valerie (Ken) Rhadigan, Mike (Angie) Cameron, Renee (Marty) Birchmeier, Ryan (Amber) Enright, and Kathy (Chris) Stefanski; fifteen great grandchildren; her sister, Gloria Anter of Roseville; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mona Cameron who passed away in 2001. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Betty Lewandowski. The funeral service will be at 11 AM Monday, October 3, 2005 in Smith Family Funeral Home-North, 1525 Hancock St. The Rev. Catherine Hiner, Pastor of Jeddo United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Croswell cemetery. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Saturday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Dave Lewandowski, Ken Rhadigan, Mike Cameron, Marty Birchmeier, Ryan Enright, andChris Stefanski. Honorary pallbearers will be Ken Rhadigan Jr. and Cody Justa. Contributions may be made in Mona's memory to St. Clair County Humane Society or Blue Water Hospice.
