Earl, Ricky Lee
November 3, 1959 - July 3, 2002

Ricky Lee Earl, age 42, of Shepherd died on Wednesday, July 3, 2002 at his home.

A Funeral Mass for Ricky Lee Earl will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2002 at 10 a.m. from St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Winn. Fr. Bill Rutkowski will officiate with interment in the St. Leo’s cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 5th, from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the Clark Funeral Chapel. Visitation will continue at the church on Saturday, July 6th, from 8 a.m. until time of service.

Ricky Lee Earl was born November 3, 1959, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Richard James Earl and Janet Irene (Schafer) Earl. Rick graduated from Beal City High School in 1978. He married Betty Simmer on October 5, 1979, at St. Leo’s in Winn. Rick worked for Alma Products for 23 years and also worked at Kroger in the Meat Department for 5 years. Rick's interests included watching racing, working on his cars, and wheeling and dealing. Rick was a member of St. Leo’s Church.

Rick is survived by his wife Betty, their children, Tiffany (Stuart) Lusk of Coleman, Brandi and Hollie Earl of Shepherd; 2 grandchildren, Taylor and Makayla Lusk;
parents Richard and Janet Earl of Mt. Pleasant, mother and father-in-law Robert and Helen Simmer of Weidman, brother Ron Earl (Suzanne Greco) of Mt. Pleasant, sister Lynn (Pat) DeLong of Mt. Pleasant and nieces and nephews.

Rick was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Hamblin, Terry Lee
April 18, 1955 - July 3, 2002

Terry Lee Hamblin, 47, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2002, at her home.

Funeral services for Terry will be held on Tuesday, July 9, at 2 p.m. from Clark Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Memorial Gardens cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 9, from 11-2 p.m. at Clark Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.

Terry was a homemaker and she loved to play TV video games, read historical romance novels, and watch movies. Terry will truly be missed by her loving husband of 27 years, John E. Hamblin. Terry’s loving daughter and namesake, Terry Lee Hines (James) will always carry the love of her mother in her heart. Terry is also survived by her brother Ralph Mishoe and two sisters, Barbara Wilson and Susan Logan. Terry will also be missed by her Aunt Ina Godfrey, her two nephews Danny Logan and Marco Logan, and seven nieces Pauline Logan, Barbara Poulson, Jody Garcia, Dawn Wilson, Tonia McDonald, Francis Wilson, and Jinny Quezada. Terry had fourteen great nephews and six great nieces.

Terry was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne Irwin and Wilma Hable Alsup, and one nephew Earl Wilson III “Butchie”.

Fulk, George Melvin
August 30, 1926 - July 3, 2002

George Melvin Fulk, 75, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2002, at Central Michigan Community Hospital.

A Funeral Mass for George will be held on Saturday, July 6, at 12 noon at Sacred Heart Church with Fr. Robert Byrne officiating. Interment of cremains will follow at a later date.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 5, from 5-7 p.m. at Clark Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Heart for Health. Envelopes will be available at Clark Funeral Chapel.

George was born on August 30, 1926, in Wisconsin, the son of Ernest and Pearl (Berry) Fulk. George was an electrician for Dow Chemical Company, retiring in 1984. He served in the United States Army. George was a member of Sacred Heart Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing.

George is survived by his godson Jeff King (Julia) and their children Natalie, Rachel, and Nichole, all of Mt. Pleasant; his 3 brothers Heber Fulk (Bethel) of St. Louis, Buel Fulk (Lucille) of Argonne, WI, and Charlie Fulk (Vivian) of Mt. Pleasant; and his 2 sisters Betty Moreno (Al) of Chicago, IL, and Jenny Duff (Bill) of Crandon, WI.

George was preceded in death by his parents; his 2 sisters Ruby Green and Carlene King; and his brother Lawrence Fulk.

Wright, Robert A.
February 3, 1927 - June 30, 2002

Robert A. Wright, 75, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2002 at the Isabella County Medical Care Facility.

There will be a Memorial Service for Robert on July 13, 2002 at Clark Funeral Chapel at 1:00 P.M. Interment of cremains will follow in Memorial Gardens cemetery.
The family will receive friends on July 13, 2002 from 12:00 noon until the time of service at 1:00 P.M.

Memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society. Envelopes will be available at the Clark Funeral Chapel.

Robert was born on February 3, 1927, in Detroit. He served in the Army during WWII as a paratrooper. Robert was self-employed as an appliance repairman.

Robert is survived by his two daughters, Vicky (Robert) Robbins of Livonia and Lorraine (Garth) Kincaid of Sherwood; his 3 grandchildren, Becky, Andrew and Amy; 5 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Elenore Howe.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.

Snedeker, Cleo Austin
March 9, 1921 - June 22, 2002

Cleo Austin Snedeker, 81, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2002, at the Masonic Pathways in Alma.

Cremation has taken place.

Reihl, Richard John
August 27, 1917 - June 22, 2002

Richard John Reihl, 84, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2002, at Central Michigan Community Hospital.

A Funeral Mass for Richard will be held on Tuesday, June 25, at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church with Fr. Robert Byrne officiating. Interment will follow in St. Henry’s cemetery in Rosebush.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Chapel on Monday, June 24, from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. and at Sacred Heart Church on Tuesday, June 25, from 10 a.m. until the time of service. There will be a scripture service at the funeral chapel on Monday at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Friends of Isabella Seniors or the Alzheimer’s Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Richard was born on August 27, 1917, in Beal City, the son of Leo and Anna (Bierschbach) Reihl. He married Mary Sargent on April 11, 1942. Richard was self-employed as a farmer, retiring in 1980, and had also worked for Marchiando & Rau for 18 years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Parish. Richard enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Richard is survived by his wife, Mary Reihl; his children Pamela J. Simmer (Kenneth) of Midland, Richard W. Reihl (Carolyn) of Rosebush, Ronald J. Reihl (Joyce) of Lake Isabella, Thomas E. Reihl (Vickie) of Rosebush, Chris L. Brasington of Rosebush, Patrick L. Reihl of Mt. Pleasant, David F. Reihl of Clare, and Donald P. Reihl of Mt. Pleasant; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers Ed Reihl (Jean) and Raymond Reihl (Pat), both of Beal City; and 3 sisters, Katie McCoy (Art), Annie Wohlscheid, and Bernice Grinzinger (Charles), all of Mt. Pleasant.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents; his 4 sisters, Lorraine Fox, Helen Shaw, Rosie Courser, and Eileen McDonald.

McCarthy, Kathleen Theresa
August 11, 1920 - June 18, 2002

Kathleen Theresa McCarthy, 81, of Mt. Pleasant died on Tuesday, June 18, 2002, at the Isabella County Medical Care Facility.

A Funeral Mass for Kathleen will be held on Friday, June 21st, at 11 a.m. from Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Fr. Robert Byrne and Deacon Larry Fussman will officiate with interment in the Calvary cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 19th, from 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday, June 20th, from 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. at the Clark Funeral Chapel. A Scripture Service will be held on Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. at Clark Funeral Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Academy Foundation or the Isabella Co. Medical Care Facility. Envelopes will be available at Clark Funeral Chapel.

Kathleen was born August 11, 1920, in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of Charles McCarthy and Margaret (McCormick) McCarthy. She graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in 1937. Kathleen received her degree in teaching from Central Normal College and began teaching in the rural Isabella County Schools at the age of 18. Later she started teaching in the Farmington, Michigan area schools, and then went on to teach second grade with the Dearborn Public School System. She taught school for 44 years, retiring in 1982.

Kathleen was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a life-time member of the League of Catholic Women of Detroit.

Kathleen is survived by her sister, Elizabeth Theisen of Mt. Pleasant and nephews Terry Keene of Winn and Kevin Keene of Grand Rapids.

Kathleen was preceded in death by both parents; 1 brother Dennis McCarthy; 3 sisters, Margaret Jean McCarthy, Mary Lou Keene, and Ellen Ann McCarthy; and 1 special niece, Sharon Ann (Keene) Gannon.

Fahey, Walter G.
September 8, 1919 - June 8, 2002

Walter G. Fahey of Lake passed away at Tendercare-Mt. Pleasant on Saturday, June 8th.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 11th, at St. Joseph the Worker Church in Beal City with Father John Cotter officiating. Burial of ashes will be at St. Joseph cemetery at a later date.

The family will receive friend at the church from 9:30 until time of service on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice of Bay City, Parkinson’s Foundation, or to the charity of your choice. Envelopes will be available at the church or Clark Funeral Chapel.

Walter was born September 8, 1919, in Cleveland, Ohio, son of the late George and Alma (Walters) Fahey. He attended schools in Cleveland, Ohio and also served in the Navy during World War II. He retired from Waynesboro Industries, Georgia in 1984.

Walter is survived by his wife Ladonna, a sister Patricia (Gil) Wanzor of Salada, Texas, a brother George of Cleveland, Ohio and step-children, Tom (Carole) Bunting of Eliot, Maine, Judie (John) Murawski of Brandon, South Dakota, Charles (Pamela) Bunting of Mt. Pleasant, and Tim (Leslie) Bunting of Minden, Nevada, step-grandchildren, Lindsay Bunting of Portland, Maine, Jesse (Lissa) Murawski of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Nick Murawski of Minneapolis, Minn., Ben Bunting of Dayton, Ohio, Amy and John Bunting of Mt. Pleasant and Sara and James Bunting of Minden. Walter is also survived by niece Carolyn (Jesse) San Minguel and David Wanzar of Texas.

Graham, Margaret T.
November 10, 1913 - June 7, 2002

Margaret T. Graham, age 88, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Friday, June 7th, at Central Michigan Community Hospital.

Funeral Services for Margaret will be held on Tuesday, June 11th, at 11 a.m. from Clark Funeral Chapel. Sister Jane Eschweiler will officiate, with interment in the Sims-Whitney cemetery in Au Gres, Michigan.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 11th, from 10 a.m. until time of service at Clark Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Central Michigan Community Hospital I.C.U. or the Isabella Co. Medical Care Facility. Envelopes will be available at Clark Funeral Chapel.

Margaret was born November 10, 1913, in East Chicago, Indiana, the daughter of Walter and Rose (Fejes) Galgoci. She married Jake Graham in Indiana in 1956 and lived in Au Gres before moving to Rosebush in 1973. Margaret and her husband Jake owned and operated a large potato farm in Au Gres. Margaret had also worked as a L.P.N. for Mt. Pleasant and Au Gres area hospitals. Margaret tended bar at the Bear Track Inn in Au Gres in the 1960’s and the White Wagon Lounge in Rosebush in the early 1970’s. She enjoyed spending time with her great nephews and their families.

Margaret is survived by several nieces and nephews; three sisters Rose Salchert of Rosebush, Helen Horvath of Mt. Pleasant, and Irma Tatum of Florida. She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Steve, Rudy, and Emery Galgoci; and an infant sister.

Jackson, William "Bill" B.
April 7, 1931 - June 6, 2002

William “Bill” B. Jackson, age 71, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Thursday June 6th at his nephew's home with family by his side.

Funeral Services for Bill will be held on Monday, June 10th, at 2 p.m. from the Chippewa Indian United Methodist Church. Rev. Owen White-Pigeon will officiate, with interment in the Memorial Gardens cemetery in Mt. Pleasant.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 7th, after 6 p.m. at the Chippewa Indian Methodist Church. Visitation continues on Saturday and Sunday after 3 p.m. at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Michigan. Envelopes will be available at the church and at Clark Funeral Chapel.

Bill was born April 7, 1931 in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Arthur and Ida (Johnson) Jackson.

Bill served four years with the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a carpenter and had worked for Harsh Construction in Coleman. Bill was a member of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe. He enjoyed telling stories, driving around and being with his family.

Bill is survived by his special friend Dorothy Booze of Tryon,OK, his daughter Norma (Douglas) Floyd of Mt. Pleasant, his grandsons Phillip Jackson and Jerry Hodges, both of Mt. Pleasant, 5 brothers Loren Jackson, Gordon (Beverly) Jackson, both of Weidman, Victor (JoAnn) Jackson of Rosebush, Stuart (Linda) Jackson of Mt. Pleasant, Terry (Thelma) Jackson of Grand Rapids, 1 sister, Ruthie Lenhart of Weidman, and many nieces and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters Arlene Arnott and Tina Starkey, 3 brothers Wilford, Homer and Elmer.

Mann, Leah Louine Jean
February 16, 1911 - June 4, 2002

Leah Louine Jean Mann, age 91, of Mt. Pleasant, formerly of Flint and Detroit, passed away Friday, June 14th, at the Isabella Co. Medical Care Facility in Mt. Pleasant.

A Memorial Service for Leah Jean will be published at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church of Shepherd, 107 W. Wright Ave., Shepherd, MI 48883. Envelopes will be available at the Church or Clark Funeral Chapel.

Leah was born Feb. 16, 1911, in Shepherd, MI, the daughter of Aaron “Nane” and Golda (Kelley) Northey. She was a professional musician, playing in many clubs and theaters. Leah worked as a paralegal secretary and was employed by the Isabella and Clare County Seniors Program. She belonged to the Federations of Professional Musicians, Women of the Motion Picture Industry, Past President of Legal Secretaries Assn., Women’s Club of Mt. Pleasant, and the V.F.W. Mt. Pleasant Post.

Leah Jean is survived by her three brothers, Aaron Northey of Ponce De Leon, FL, John Northey of Ocala, FL, and Kenneth Northey of Farmington Hills, MI; a sister, Joan Skupien of Oxnard, CA; nieces Connie Beauchamp of Ocala, FL, Nora Ray of White Pine, MI, and several other nieces and nephews.

Leah was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son and a sister Edna Scigliano.
