Everett Bach

Everett Bach, 83, died Monday, Jan. 24, 2000, at Cambridge East Nursing Care Center, Madison Heights. He was born June 5, 1916, in Lee City, Ky.

Mr. Bach was a retired machine operator from the Budd Co., and a U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by his daughters, Sandra (Reed) Britton of Roseville, and Becky (Gary) Obney of Eastpointe; sons, Fred (Sandy) Coldicott of Lewisburg, Ky., Glenn (Sarah) Bach of Warren and Stephen Bach of Romeo; sister, Att Leeds of Kentucky; brothers, Carl Bach of Clearwater, Fla. and Edgar Bach of Lakeland, Fla.; 17 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11:45 a.m. Friday at Kaul Funeral Home, 27830 Gratiot, Roseville, with the Rev. Robert D. Witt, Healing Water Tabernacle, Roseville officiating. Burial will be at Clinton Grove cemetery, Clinton Township.

Visitation is 3:30-9 p.m. Thursday.

Clayton W. Barnett

Clayton Warren Barnett, 76, a 33-year resident of Warren, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2000, at St. Anthony Nursing Home, Warren. He was born May 1, 1923, in Wilton, Ky.

Mr. Barnett retired after 35 years as a forklift driver for Chrysler. He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran.

He is survived by his son, Michael (Donna) Barnett; grandchildren, Ruthann, Jacob, Matthew and Ryan; and sister, Billie (Ray) Friedoff. He was predeceased by his wife, Dorris, in 1998.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Ford Funeral Home, 26560 Van Dyke, Center Line, with the Rev. David Blake officiating. Entombment will be at Roseland Park cemetery, Berkley.

Visitation is 2-9 p.m. Thursday.

Santa Falcone

Santa Falcone, 103, of Sterling Heights, died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2000, in Romeo Care Center. She was born Feb. 13, 1896, in Reggio Calabria, Italy.

Mrs. Falcone was a homemaker.

She is survived by her children, Demetrio (Genevieve), Frank (Maria), Joseph (Joann), Caroline (John) Fallucca and Anna (Tony) Amabile; 21 grandchildren; and 40 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Fortunato; and grandson, Steve.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Barnabas Catholic Church, 24800 Phlox, Eastpointe. Burial will be in Mount Olivet cemetery, Detroit.

Visitation is 4-9 p.m. today and 1-9 p.m. Thursday with a 7 p.m. Scripture service at Bagnasco-Tabbi Funeral Home, 25800 Harper, St. Clair Shores. Additional visitation is 9:30-10 a.m. Friday at the church.

Misty R. McGinnis

Misty Rae McGinnis, 20, of Eastpointe, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2000, in Roseville. She was born Dec. 25, 1979, in Warren.

Ms. McGinnis was a homemaker. She loved to draw.

She is survived by her son, Dustin Joseph Miller; parents, Linda McGinnis of Eastpointe, and Richard McGinnis; sisters, Beth Jacobs of Clinton Township, and Joy Lynn Thomas of Fresno, Calif.; brother, Matt of Eastpointe; grandmother, Phyllis Ragsdale; and great-grandmother, Catherine Reece.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr, Warren, with the Rev. David Swartz officiating.

Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today and 1-9 p.m. Thursday.

Herman Patrick

Herman Patrick, 66, of Croswell, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2000, at his home, after a 6-month battle with cancer. He was born Jan. 14, 1934, in Shamokin, Pa.

Mr. Patrick graduated from Detroit Southwestern High School in 1952, and earned a bachelor's degree in education from Wayne State University in 1964.

He taught at Detroit Cass Tech High School, then worked as an engineer for General Motors in Warren for 29 years until he retired in 1988. For the last 10 years he worked for T.I. Automotive in New Haven as an AQP manager.

He served in the U.S. Army 101st Airborne Corps from 1960-62, and was a member of the Peck American Legion Post 489. He enjoyed bird watching, gardening, nature walks and classical music.

He is survived by his wife of two years, Wendy (nee Wilson); mother, Tafelia "Phil" Patrick of Utica; daughters, Kimberly Patrick of Chesterfield Township, Kelly (Jeffrey) Farmer of Sterling Heights, and Kristi (Wayne) Myers of Oxford; stepchildren, Kellee (Joel) Dittenber of Shelby Township, Missy (Brian) Priehs of Avoca, and David (Brenda) Liebler of Brown City; sister, Delmarie (Tom) Lagrasso; brothers, Max (Darlene), Jack (Rosalie), and Jesse (Dian) Patrick; mother-in-law, Frances Wilson; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, John; and father, Maxmillian.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Yale, with the Rev. Larry Dunn officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood cemetery, Yale.

Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today and 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Thursday with Peck American Legion military honors at 7:30 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, 10 S. Main St. (M-19), Yale. Memorial contributions may be made to the Blue Water Hospice or Henry Ford Hospital Cancer Research.

Rosaria S. Pikarski

Rosaria Sarah Pikarski, 57, of St. Clair Shores, died Monday, Jan. 24, 2000, in Mount Clemens General Hospital. She was born July 11, 1942, in Detroit.

Mrs. Pikarski was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Phil; sons, Phillip (Wendy) and Frank; grandchildren, Justin, Ashley and Megan; mother, Pearl Maniaci; siblings, Mary Beck, Lu Genova and Tony Maniaci.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Arthur J. VanLerberghe Funeral Home, 30600 Harper, St. Clair Shores, with the Rev. Michael Quaine officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection cemetery, Clinton Township.

Visitation is 4-9 p.m. Thursday and 1-9 p.m. Friday with a 7:30 p.m. rosary service.

Kathleen Ryngaert

Kathleen Ryngaert, 61, of Harrison Township, died Monday, Jan. 24, 2000, in Mount Clemens General Hospital. She was born Oct. 26, 1938, in Clinton Township.

Mrs. Ryngaert was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond W.; sons, Gerald of Harrison Township, Ronald (Penny) of Chesterfield Township and Dale (Heidi) of St. Clair Shores; daughters, Kathleen M. (Craig) Maclean of Kentwood and Rhonda (Matthew) Tesch of Clinton Township; grandchildren, Matthew, Raymond, Ryan, Collin and Alex; brothers, Jack (Valerie) Flood of Clinton Township and Kenneth (MaryLou) Flood of Clinton Township; sisters, Marge (Nick) Kroon of Ohio and Helen (Eugene) Ureel of New Haven. She was predeceased by her son, Michael; and brother, Clair.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Louis Catholic Church, Clinton Township, with the Rev. Pasquale LoGrasso officiating. Burial will follow in Resurrection cemetery, Clinton Township.

Visitation is noon-9 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary service, and 10-10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church.

Edward A. Rzeppa

Edward A. Rzeppa, 85, of Chesterfield Township, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2000, at St. Joseph's Mercy of Macomb West hospital in Clinton Township. He was born Oct. 14, 1914, in Detroit.

Mr. Rzeppa was a tool maker for Chrysler. He was an avid fisherman and boater.

He is survived by his wife, Mary E. Rzeppa (nee Swartzwelder); sons, Donald (Dorothy) Rzeppa, Marvin (Karen) Ritchey, and Donald (Theresa) Ritchey; daughters, Barbara Ann (Kenneth) LaBeau and Sandra Stack; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Rose Rzeppa.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons funeral home, 36900 Schoenherr, Sterling Heights. Burial will be at Mount Olivet cemetery in Detroit.

Visitation is 2-9 p.m. Thursday and 1-9 p.m. Friday with a 7 p.m. rosary service.

Elona Schulz

Elona Schulz (nee Skubick), 85, of Mesa, Ariz., died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2000, at Valley Lutheran Hospital, Mesa. She was born Jan. 26, 1914, in Streator, Ill.

Mrs. Schulz was class valedictorian at Fraser High School in 1933. She was a former longtime member of Zion-Grace United Church of Christ in Fraser, and member of the 25-plus Alumni Association of Fraser High School.

She enjoyed traveling and was an avid bowler. A relative said, "She will be deeply missed by the many who remember her in the Macomb County area."

She is survived by her husband, Donald; daughter, Nancy (Shinning) Fay; stepdaughters, Carolyn Chapman and Barbara Doll; and granddaughter, Amy Schinning. She was predeceased by her first husband, Harold Skubick, in 1963; brother, Edward Smith; and sister, Mary Ingram.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Faulmann and Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica, Fraser, with the Rev. Joseph Lachcik officiating. Burial will be at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, Clinton Township.

Visitation is 2-9 p.m. Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to the church or the Fraser Alumni 25-plus Scholarship Fund.

Edward M. Sliter

Edward M. Sliter, 62, a longtime resident of Chesterfield Township, died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2000, in Bon Secours Hospital, Grosse Pointe. He was born Jan. 22, 1938.

Mr. Sliter attended Denby High School.

He is survived by his mother, Sophie of Chesterfield Township; sister, Diane (Lloyd) Stitchick of Warren; brother, Dennis (Karen) of St. Clair Shores; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Edward J., on March 16, 1998.

Private services were held Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2000.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bon Secours-Cottage Hospice, 19701 Vernier, Harper Woods MI 48225.

Arrangements were handled by Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot, Mount Clemens.

Elizabeth M. Smith

Elizabeth M. Smith, 87, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2000, in Livonia. She was born Sept. 5, 1912, in Detroit.

Mrs. Smith was active in St. Raymond Seniors, and was a longtime employee of Bur-lers Variety Stores. She was an avid card player. A relative said, "She loved and enjoyed all her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed."

She is survived by her son, Gerald (Caralee) of Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.; daughter, Eileen (Al) Eardley of Livonia; grandchildren, Stephen (Dillma) Smith of Silver Spring, Md., Scott (Christine) Smith of Rancho Palos Verdes, Suzy (Doug Fagen) Smith of Alexandria, Va., David (Sara) Eardley of Ann Arbor, and Nancy Eardley of Warren; brother, Adam Tanceusz of Kaleva; and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 38 years, Edward J.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Raymond Church, 20103 Joann, Detroit. Interment will be at Mount Olivet cemetery, Detroit.

Visitation is 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 17251 W. 12 Mile Road, Suite 109, Southfield, MI 48076. Arrangements were made by Wasik Funeral Home in Warren.
