Cynthia G. Doser

Cynthia Godfrey Doser, 44, of St. Clair Shores, died Friday, April 14, 2000, at her home. She was born Feb. 17, 1956, in Detroit.

Mrs. Doser was founder, owner and president of Acclaim Insurance Services in Harper Woods.

She is survived by her husband, Larry; sons, Brad and Andre; parents, Richard and Audrey Godfrey; and sister, Laurie (Joe) Hubrowski.

Visitation is 2-9 p.m. Thursday at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson, St. Clair Shores. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice in St. Clair Shores.

Donna L. Etnyre

Donna L. Etnyre, 73, of Warren died Saturday, April 15, 2000, at her home. She was born Oct. 26, 1926, in Springfield, Ohio.

Mrs. Etnyre is survived by her husband, Edwin; sons, Terrance (Ingrid), Geoffrey and Jon (Marge); daughter, Stephanie Olivares; grandchildren, Kirsten, Aaron, Allison, Eric, Danielle, Jonathan and Erika; great-grandchildren, William, Abigail and Jacob; and brother, Eugene Schilling.

A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Hope Lutheran Church, 32400 Hoover, Warren, with the Rev. John Duerr officiating.

Visitation is 3-7 p.m. Wednesday at the church. For further information call Lyle Elliott Funeral Home at (810) 264-2441.

John F. Fraser

John Forbes Fraser, 84, of Macomb Township, died Friday, April 14, 2000, at Birchwood Nursing Home, Traverse City. He was born Jan. 29, 1916, in Glasgow, Scotland.

Mr. Fraser was a retired sales representative with ADT Security Systems and was a member of the Toronto Scottish Organization.

He is survived by his sons, Ian (Margaret), Bruce (Linda) and Donald; daughter, Marie (Robert) Merrelli; sister, Anne Gedge; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was predeceased by his wife, Laurette.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes, Clinton Township with the Rev. Richard Ugolik officiating. Burial will be in St. John cemetery, Fraser.

Visitation is 4-9 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Maurice J. King

Maurice J. King, 70, of St. Clair Shores, died Friday, April 14, 2000, at St. Joseph's Mercy of Macomb East hospital, Mount Clemens. He was born July 20, 1931, in Bark River Township.

Mr. King was a retired mechanic instructor at Michigan Career Institute who also served in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife, Florence; sons, Maurice Jr., Larry (Robin), Gary (Joyce), Robert (Pamela) and Michael (Cheryl); eleven grandchildren; brothers, William (Yenna), Roy (Barbara), Dwaine; and sister, Diane Lay. He was predeceased by his son, Ronald.

A funeral service will he held 11 a.m. Thursday at Lake Shore Presbyterian Church, St. Clair Shores, with the Rev. Thomas Duncan officiating. Burial will be in Christian Memorial Cultural Center, Rochester Hills.

Visitation is 3-9 p.m. Tuesday and 2-9 p.m. Wednesday at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson, St. Clair Shores. Additional visitation is 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Lake Shore Presbyterian Church.

Douglas W. Kursinsky

Douglas Wayne Kursinsky, 53, of Sterling Heights, died Thursday, April 13, 2000, in Sterling Heights. He was born June 12, 1946, in Sandusky.

Mr. Kursinsky was employed in the manufacturing industry as a machine mold maker. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, and was a member of the Radio Control Club of Detroit and Electric Flyers Only organizations.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah (nee Flannigan); sons, Craig and Desmond; daughter, Lori-Anne; brother, Durand; and mother, Marian (Pierce) O'Gorman. He was predeceased by his father, Reinhold.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons funeral home, 36900 Schoenherr Road, Sterling Heights. Burial will be in Resurrection cemetery, Clinton Township.

Visitation is 1-9 p.m. today.

Mary J. Lorbietzki

Mary J. Lorbietzki, 85, of Clinton Township, died Saturday, April 15, 2000, in her home. She was born Jan. 30, 1915, in Detroit.

Mrs. Lorbietzki was described by relatives as a "child care giver" for her loving devotion to her family.

She is survived by her sons, Anthony J. (Theresa Ann), Joseph (Geraldine); daughters, Diane (Donald) Rucinski, Dolores (Mark) David, Kathleen (Thomas) Hadacz, and Karen Lorbietzki; sister, Dorothy (Robert) Wise; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred.

A funeral service will be held at noon Tuesday at St. Thecla Catholic Church, Clinton Township. Burial will be in Mount Olivet cemetery, Detroit.

Visitation is 3-9 p.m. today at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield, Clinton Township with a 7:30 p.m. Scripture service. Additional visitation is 11:30-noon Tuesday at the church.

Richard E. Miskelly

Richard Elias Miskelly, 67, of St. Clair Shores, died Friday, April 14, 2000, in Warren. He was born April 3, 1933, in Detroit.

Mr. Miskelly served four years in the U.S. Air Force. He lettered in three sports during his four years at South Lake High School, St. Clair Shores.

He is survived by his brother, Leonard; nephews, John, Matthew and Gordon; niece, Molly; and grand-niece, Taylor.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Buehler Funeral Home, 26429 Gratiot, Roseville. Memorial contributions may be addressed to the National Kidney Association.

Francis H. Ploetz

Francis H. Ploetz, 67, a resident of Shelby Township for nine years, died Saturday, April 15, 2000, at William Beaumont Hospital, Troy. He was born April 28, 1932, in Bruce Township.

Mr. Ploetz was an assistant supervisor with the Macomb County Youth Home for 33 years and also worked as a farmer. He was member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Washington Township, and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; daughters, Kathleen (Jerome) Sheppard, Mary Jane (Dan) Galaska, and JoAnn (Steve) Smith; sons, Michael (Sandy) and Francis (Barbara); stepsons, Charles (Frances) Stout and Duane (Evette) Stout; brother, Sonny (Lynn); sisters, Betty (Buck) Krumenaker and Carol (Bill) Neddermeyer; and nine grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 8600 27 Mile Road, Washington Township, with the Rev. Jeffrey Draeger officiating. Burial will be in Utica cemetery.

Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today and 2-9 p.m. Tuesday at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road, Utica. Additional visitation is 10:30-11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church or Trinity Lutheran Church.

William T. Plummer

William Tucker Plummer, 82, of Clinton Township, died Saturday, April 15, 2000, at St. John Northeast Community, Detroit. He was born Jan. 6, 1918, in England.

Mr. Plummer served as a chief petty officer in the U.S. Navy and served in World War II. He worked as a teacher for Warren Consolidated Schools for 13 years.

He is survived by his wife, Lorraine (nee Davinney); sons, Thomas (Mary Alice Rudelich) and William; daughter, Laurie (Rick) Carwile; sisters, Edna Morrison, Lillian (Roy) Rinnan and Edith (Alvin) Threlkeld; brother, George (Nancy) Plummer; grandchildren, William, Gina Marie, Emily, Tyler, Hunter and Michaela. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Dorothy; and brother, Arthur (Lou).

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons funeral home, 36900 Schoenherr, Sterling Heights. Burial will be in Resurrection cemetery, Clinton Township.

Visitation is 3-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Health System Foundation-Hospice, M.O.B. Suite 102, 22101 Moross, Detroit, MI 48236-2172.

Patricia A. Schneider

Patricia A. Schneider, 70, a resident of Warren for 45 years, died Saturday, April 15, 2000, at St. John Macomb Hospital Center, Warren. She was born Feb. 27, 1930, in Detroit.

Mrs. Schneider was a financial secretary in the automotive industry.

She is survived by sons, Chris (Roz), and Terry; daughters, Janice (James) Drew and Jill (Mark) Skeen; grandchildren, Jamie Schneider, Steven Novak, Eric Schneider, Marc Skeen, James Drew and Alex Skeen; great-grandson, David Schneider; and sister Dorothy Davenport. She was predeceased by her husband, Vaughn.

Visitation is 1-9 p.m. today at Lyle Elliott Funeral Home, 31730 Mound, Warren. Burial will be in Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, Clinton Township. For funeral service and time call the funeral home at (810) 264-2441. The Rev. David Allman will officiate.

Marie D. Smolkey

Marie D. Smolkey, 93, of Sterling Heights, died Saturday, April 15, 2000, at Fr. Murray Nursing Home, Center Line. She was born July 5, 1906, in Poland.

Mrs. Smolkey was retired from Champion Spark Plug and enjoyed traveling, playing bingo and spending time with her family.

She is survived by children, Carolyn and Roy (Virginia); sisters, Jean Tarnow, Theresa Malinowski; brother, Peter (Mary) Slonski; and six grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank.

A funeral service will held at D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover, Warren. For time of service, call the funeral home at (810) 751-0444. Burial will be in Resurrection cemetery, Clinton Township.

Visitation is 2-9 p.m. today.

Jessie M. Summerer

Jessie Magdelene Summerer, 94, of Mount Clemens, died Friday, April 14, 2000, at St. Joseph's Mercy of Macomb West hospital, Clinton Township. She was born Aug. 28, 1905, in Port Huron.

Mrs. Summerer is survived by her daughters, Margaret Jean of Mount Clemens and Maureen (Robert) Ebersole of Clinton Township; grandson, David Alan Ebersole of Clinton Township; and great-grandsons, Michael and Matthew. She was predeceased by her sister, Mary Koob; and brothers, Walter and James Conner.

A funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter Catholic Church, Mount Clemens, with the Rev. Michael N. Cooney officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside cemetery, Port Huron.

Visitation is 1-9 p.m. today at Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot, Mount Clemens. Additional visitation is 9-9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent dePaul Society.
