John P. Nitzke
John Paul Nitzke, 72, of Traverse City and formerly from Macomb Township, died Nov. 20, 1999, in Munson Medical Center, Traverse City. He was born March 18, 1927, in Syracuse, N.Y.
Mr. Nitzke retired from Ford Motor Co. in 1993, and served in the U.S. Navy. He was a 35-year member of Elks Club and enjoyed fishing and playing cards.
"John was a loving husband, father and grandfather," a family member said.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly; daughters, Deborah Coffey of Port Angeles, Wash. and Lori Talamontes of Ypsilanti; son, John; stepchildren, Robert of California, Michael Coleman of New Baltimore and Linda Coleman of Traverse City; grandson, Benjamin Flexner of Placitas, N.M.; step-grandchildren, Ashley, Lindsey, Hollie, Joseph and Michael; sister, Betty Kardinski of Bridgeport, N.Y.; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, August John and Bessie (nee St. John); brother, August; and sister, Iva Rogers.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Michael's Catholic Church, Sterling Heights, with the Rev. Lawrence Jackson officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association.

Jimmie W. Poston
Jimmie W. Poston, 58, of St. Clair Shores, died Tuesday, March 14, 2000, at St. Joseph's Mercy of Macomb East hospital, Mount Clemens. He was born Jan. 17, 1942, in Lafollett, Tenn.
Mr. Poston worked in the railroad industry for 34 years, first with Detroit Terminal and then Conrail. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran who served in the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn (nee Hartley); children, Deborah (Chris) Walker, Thomas (Simone) Poston and Michael (Karin) Poston; grandchildren, Chelsea, Shelby, Jennifer, Lauren and Arianna; and sister, Judy (Robert) Adams.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr, Warren.
Visitation is 2-9 p.m. Thursday.
Mary B. Roche
Mary B. Roche, 79, a 59-year resident of New Baltimore, died Monday, March 6, 2000, at St. Joseph's Mercy of Macomb East hospital, Mount Clemens. She was born March 16, 1920, in Pueblo, Colo.
Mrs. Roche is survived by her daughters, Diane (Robert) Sans of Macomb Township, Margaret (Ronald) Gardner of New Baltimore, Paula (Richard) West of Macomb Township and Mary Beth (Roger) Bennett of New Baltimore; sisters, Hazel Huyge of Deerfield Beach, Fla., and Louise DePonio of Bradenton, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Gendernalik Funeral Home, 35600 Main, New Baltimore, with the Rev. Patrick Casey officiating.

Lowell M. Walker
Lowell M. Walker, 75, a 37-year resident of Royal Oak, formerly from Berkley, died Tuesday, March 14, 2000, at the University of Michigan Hospital, Ann Arbor. He was born March 30, 1924, in Detroit.
Mr. Walker was retired from Valeron GTE Corp. in Troy. He served in the U.S. Army in the European Theater during World War II, and was awarded the Purple Heart. He was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans and the VFW Post in Madison Heights.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Marion A. Walker (nee Burg); sister, Vivian Barrett of Minnesota; and brothers, John Walker of Grand Rapids and Lawrence Walker of Berkley. He was predeceased by his sister, Shirley A. Rice.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of La Salette Catholic Church in Berkley. Burial will be at Oakview cemetery, Royal Oak.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Thursday with a 7 p.m. Scripture service at Wm. Sullivan and Son Funeral Home, 705 W. 11 Mile Road, Royal Oak. Additional visitation is 10:30-11 a.m. Friday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Capuchin Soup Kitchen.
Margaret Burr
Margaret Burr, 83, of East Jordan, formerly a resident of New Baltimore for 47 years, died Saturday, May 27, 2000, in Traverse City. She was born Sept. 28, 1916, in Detroit.
Mrs. Burr was a tutor for the Literacy Plus Program with Macomb Intermediate School District and served as treasurer of the East Jordan United Women's Fellowship.
She was active in both East Jordan United Methodist Church and Grace United Methodist Church, New Baltimore. She played bridge for 60 years and was involved in many tournaments.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Worgess of East Jordan, Martha (Ronald) Powers of New Baltimore and Julie White of Richmond; sons, Richard of Jacksonville, Fla., and Michael (Pamela) of East Jordan; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and sister, Dorothy Hager of Miami, Fla. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry; son, Thomas; and brother, John Kindra.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Grace United Methodist Church, 49655 Jefferson, New Baltimore, with the Revs. Tonya Arnesen, James Greer II and Eugene Baughan officiating. Burial will be in Clinton Grove cemetery, Clinton Township.
Visitation is 2-9 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. memorial service at Penzien Funeral Home, East Jordan, and 2-9 p.m. Wednesday at Gendernalik Funeral Home, 35600 Main St., New Baltimore. Additional visitation is 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the church.

Bessie Criscillis
Bessie Criscillis, 81, of St. Clair Shores, died Sunday, May 28, 2000, at her home. She was born Aug. 19, 1918, in Clay County, Tenn.
Mrs. Criscillis was employed by U.S. Rubber.
She is survived by her son, Carl W. Criscillis; and grandson, Jason E. (Raquel) Criscillis. She was predeceased by her husband, James W. Criscillis.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East Chapel, Clinton Township, with the Rev. Luke Krotkiewicz officiating. Burial will be in Cadillac Memorial Gardens East.
Visitation is 3-9 p.m. Wednesday at Bagnasco-Tabbi Funeral Home, 25800 Harper, St. Clair Shores. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
Robert K. Dombrowski Sr.
Robert Kenneth Dombrowski Sr., 66, of Eastpointe, died Thursday, May 25, 2000.
Mr. Dombrowski was a businessman, investment adviser and professor. He was a graduate of St. Mary's Preparatory School, Orchard Lake, and the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
He is survived by his children, Sandra Dombrowski, of Rye, N.H., Robert Kenneth Dombrowski Jr., of Stratham, N.H., and Paul Dombrowski of Laguna Hills, Calif.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Church, Orchard Lake.

Mary H. Dutkiewicz
Mary H. Dutkiewicz, 86, of Sterling Heights, died Sunday, May 28, 2000, at Medilodge of Sterling Heights. She was born Dec. 16, 1913, in Zaremby Koscielne, Poland.
Mrs. Dutkiewicz came to the United States from Poland when she was 16 and became a U.S. citizen Sept. 23, 1943.
She is survived by her sons, Edmund (Colleen) Dutkiewicz of East Lansing and Thaddeus (Cathy) Dutkiewicz of Clinton Township; daughters, Adele Dixon of Rochester, Diane (Samuel) Marasco of Macomb Township, Alice (Joseph) Zellak of Clinton Township and Jeanette (John) Hayden of Sterling Heights; 20 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Casmier Dutkiewicz.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul of Tarsus Catholic Church, 41300 Romeo Plank, Clinton Township. Burial will be in Resurrection cemetery, Clinton Township.
Visitation is 3-9 p.m. today and 2-9 p.m. Wednesday with a 7 p.m. rosary recital, at William Sullivan and Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road, Utica. Additional visitation is 10-10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church.

Helen M. Lemke
Helen M. Lemke, 85, a 13-year Dearborn resident, formerly from Utica, died Monday, May 29, 2000, at her home. She was born Jan. 22, 1915, in Yukon, Pa.
Mrs. Lemke was a member of the Retired Detroit Police Officers Association.
She is survived by her sons, Clyde W. (Jane) Lemke of Mascoutah, Ill., Charles W. (Theresa) Lemke of Almont and Edward (Nancy) Lemke of Grosse Pointe Farms; daughter, Jeanne (Dale) Avery of Dearborn; and brothers, Paul (Helen) Ryniak of Algonac and Walter Ryniak of Sterling Heights; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Clyde W. Lemke.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road, Utica. Burial will be in Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, Clinton Township.

R.C. Lomasney
R.C. "Chuck" Lomasney, 76, of Sterling Heights, died Sunday, May 28, 2000, at his home. He was born Aug. 10, 1923, in Detroit.
Mr. Lomasney was the founder of R.C. Lomasney and Sons, a heating and air conditioning company based in Warren. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps Veteran of World War II and was a member of Bruce Post VFW, St. Clair Shores.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa (Terry) Manning Lomasney; sons, Chuck (Carol) Lomasney, Ken (Sue) Lomasney, Ron (Debbie) Lomasney, David (Kathy) Lomasney, Mike (Cindy) Lomasney and Tom (Lauren) Lomasney; mother, Eleanor Lomasney; stepdaughters, Gail (Steve) Antonich and Lindi (Bob) Passarell; brother, Jim Lomasney, Bill Lomasney, and Jerry Lomasney; 29 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Fortunate (Torch) Lomasney; father, William F. Lomasney; and sisters, Margaret Nash and Betty Karl.
A funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Ephrem's Church, 38900 Dodge Park, Sterling Heights.
Visitation is 2-9 p.m. today and 1-9 p.m. Wednesday at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons funeral home, 36900 Schoenherr Road, Sterling Heights. Additional visitation is 8-9 a.m. at the church.
