Stanley F. Foss

Stanley Ferdinand "Fritz" Foss, 80, of Lenox Township, died Wednesday, May 31, 2000, at Mount Clemens General Hospital. He was born Dec. 12, 1919, in Lenox Township.

Mr. Foss was a broach maker for 40 years at Colonial Broach and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of AMVETS Post 72, a national charter member of AMVETS and former

member of the New Haven Community Schools Board of Education.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred; sons, Douglas (Gail) of Plymouth, Glenn (Linda), Clifford (Sue) and Craig (Denise) all of Lenox Township; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Pearl Schmidt of Dearborn and Irene Schuck of Port Huron. She was predeceased by her son, Eric; and grandsons, Keith and Marc.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Duncan-Olszewski Funeral Home, 58611 Main St., New Haven, with the Rev. Jack Dundas officiating. Burial will be in Meade cemetery, Macomb Township.

Visitation is 2-9 p.m. Friday with at White Clover service at 7 p.m.

Kathryn J. Groves

Kathryn J. Groves, 71, of Shelby Township, died Monday, May 29, 2000, at St. Joseph's Mercy of Macomb West hospital, Clinton Township. She was born Dec. 5, 1928, in Detroit.

She retired in 1989 from the warranty claims division of Chrysler Corp. She also retired in 1999 from her job at Peace Lutheran Church in Warren.

She is survived by her sons, Randall (Jill) Groves of Tiffin, Ohio and Steven (Samantha) Groves of Shelby Township; sister, Joanne Powell of Royal Oak; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, Warren, with the Rev. Dennis Glander officiating. Burial will be in Imlay Township cemetery.

Visitation is 6-10 p.m. today and 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Karmanos Cancer Institute.

Raymond E. Hillbom

Raymond E. Hillbom, 74, of Warren, died Wednesday, May 31, 2000, at St. John Macomb Hospital, Warren. He was born July 18, 1925, in Warren.

Mr. Hillbom worked for 30 years at Artistic Furniture Co., Livonia as an upholsterer and member of the D.A.V. He was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II and stationed on the Tall Ship Danmark. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by his sons, Daniel (Cheryl) and Mike (Denise); daughters, Karin (Gus) Kaselemis, Kristi Hillbom and Kathy (Joseph) Wambach; and six grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at White Chapel cemetery, 18 Mile Road, Troy, with the Rev. Tim Kade officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel cemetery.

Visitation is 2-9 p.m. Friday at Ford Funeral Home, 26560 Van Dyke, Center Line.

Marjorie D. Krampits

Marjorie D. Krampits, 73, of Eastpointe, died Saturday, May 27, 2000, at her home. She was born April 7, 1927, in Detroit.

Mrs. Krampits worked at Induction Steel Casting for 25 years and was a member of VFW Auxiliary Schaeffer Rochelle.

She was a former member of Eastsiders Club who enjoyed ceramics, painting, boating and vacationing at Carp Lake. She graduated from East Detroit High School in 1945.

She is survived by her daughter, M. Dianne Ambrozy of Palms; son, James (Joanne) Krampits of Croswell; grandchildren, Jason, Michelle, Thomas and Steven Ambrozy and Dawn (Franzel), James and Bonnie Krampits; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Paul Jones of Marshall and Richard (Brenda) Jones of Lapeer; sisters, Darlene (Al) Sass of Iron Wood and Sharon (Rollie) Preuss of Richland; sisters-in-law, Patricia (Richard) Johnson and Mary Lou (Donald) Brannan; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, James F. Krampits; and brother, Lawrence Jones.

A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 23000 Gratiot, Eastpointe, with the Rev. Michael Roth officiating. Burial will be in Carp Lake Township cemetery.

Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today and noon-5 p.m. Friday at S. K. Schultz Funeral Home, 21705 Gratiot, Eastpointe. Additional visitation is 6-7 p.m. Friday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter Lutheran Church.

Della R. Lehtinen

Della R. Lehtinen, 80, of Shelby Township, formerly a resident of Utica and Sterling Heights, died Wednesday, May 31, 2000, at St. Joseph's Mercy of Macomb West hospital, Clinton Township. She was born June 10, 1919, in Junction City, Kan.

Mrs. Lehtinen was a member of Covenant Baptist Church, Sterling Heights for 33 years and loved animals and gardening.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen (Dale) Jones, of Shelby Township and Terry (Violet) Lehtinen of Macomb Township; grandchildren, Glenn Jones, Kevin Jones, Robert Lehtinen and Alicia Lehtinen; and brother, Donald (Doris) St. Louis of Washington.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall, Utica, with the Rev. Ted Madonna officiating. Burial will be in Acacia Park cemetery, Southfield.

Visitation is 2-9 p.m. today.

Josephine B. Maciborski

Josephine B. Maciborski (nee Gazda), 79, of Warren, died Wednesday, May 31, 2000, at St. John Oakland Hospital, Madison Heights. She was born Jan. 22, 1921, in Fairpoint, Ohio.

Mrs. Maciborski was a retired worker from Stanley Door who enjoyed dancing and gardening.

She is survived by her sons, Leonard (Irene) Maciborski and Dennis (Mary) Maciborski; grandchildren, Marie, Brian, Christopher, Dena, David, Michael, Dennis, Mary Therese, Clare and Colette; brothers, Michael Gazda and John Gazda; and sisters, Violet Cherfoli, Alda Jozwiak, Blanche Bozinowski and Michaelina Peckonis. She was predeceased by her parents, Florian and Magdalena Gazda; siblings, Helen Dupczyk, Felix Gazda and Carl Gazda Sr.

Funeral services will be held at 8:15 a.m. Saturday at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons funeral home, 36900 Schoenherr, Sterling Heights, 9:30 a.m. at St. Cletus 26262 Ryan, Warren. Burial will be in Resurrection cemetery, Clinton Township.

Visitation is 2-9 p.m. today and 1-9 p.m. Friday with a 7 p.m. rosary at the funeral home.

Harold G. Schrade

Harold George Schrade, 79, of Chesterfield Township, died Tuesday, May 30, 2000, at St. Joseph's Mercy of Macomb West hospital, Clinton Township. He was born Jan. 22, 1921 in Mount Clemens.

Mr. Schrade served in the U.S. Army-Air Corps during World War II and was a member of Disabled American Veterans Chapter 44, Mount Clemens.

He retired in 1983 after 37 years as a truck driver for Detroit Edison. He enjoyed gardening, playing cards and games.

He is survived by his daughters, Judy (Ron) Rhodes of Chesterfield Township, Nancy (Michael) Panowitz of Macomb Township, and Susan Schrade, Mount Clemens; son, Bruce (Jackie) Schrade of Harrison Township; brother, Louis Schrade of Chesterfield Township; and grandchildren, Rich Panowitz, Lori Panowitz, Jason Schrade and Brandi Schrade and Paul Rhodes. He was predeceased by his wife, Virginia Schrade, brothers, Carl, Cornelius, August and Howard Schrade; sisters, Luella Beebe, Leona Baumgarten and Margaret Whitehurst.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot Avenue, with the Rev. Bob Harvey officiating. Burial will be in Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, Clinton Township.

Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today and 2-9 p.m. Friday and 9-10 a.m. Saturday.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Michigan Special Olympics.

George P. Sorensen

George P. Sorensen, 28, of Hoboken, N.J., formerly from St. Clair Shores, died Sunday, May 28, 2000, in Del Ray Beach, Fla., at Del Ray Hospital.

Mr. Sorensen was employed by Canon Corp. and was working on a master's degree. He formerly worked as a district sales manager for General Motors' Cadillac Division.

He is survived by his parents, George and Regina Sorensen of St. Clair Shores; sister, Cindy (Michael) Hover of Rochester Hills; nephews, Jason, Ryan and Shaun; and aunts, Christina (Basil) Williams and Helen Superson.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at White Chapel cemetery, Troy with the Rev. Larry Zink officiating.

Visitation is 2-9 p.m. Friday at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson, St. Clair Shores. Additional visitation is 12:30-1 p.m. Saturday at the chapel.

Flora B. Fiebelkorn

Flora B. Fiebelkorn, 74, a resident of McHenry, Ill., formerly from Roseville, died Wednesday, April 26, 2000, at Alden Terrace Nursing Home, McHenry, Ill. She was born Apr. 12, 1926, in Mount Clemens.

Mrs. Fiebelkorn was a homemaker who enjoyed camping, ceramics, crocheting, knitting and collecting cardinal memorabilia. She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Linting, of Eagle River, Wis., Valerie Johnson and Virginia Krucek, both of Cary, Ill; sisters, Shirley (Al) Cukr of Carsonville and Donna Allard of Sterling Heights; stepbrothers; Richard Barns of Fair Haven and Robert (Evelyn) Barns of Runkin, Fla.; and grandchildren, Duane, Brenda and Laura. She was predeceased by her husband, Ralph.

A funeral service will be held 7 p.m. Monday at Harold W. Vick Funeral Home, 140 South Main Street, Mount Clemens, with the Rev. Jack Mackowiak officiating.

Visitation is 1-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Parkinson Foundation or the Diabetes Association.

Lester Thomas Goetz

Lester Thomas Goetz, 86, of New Haven, died Saturday, May 6, 2000, in New Haven. He was born May 5, 1914, in Oran, Mo.

Mr. Goetz is a retired custodian from the New Haven School District.

He is survived by his wife, Doris; children, Shirley Goetz, Doris (Alton) Nix, Mary Goetz, Thom Goetz and David (Linda) Goetz; siblings, Lila, Estelle and RC; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, with the Rev. Mack officiating. Burial will be in Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, Clinton Township. Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today and 2-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Stephen Herman

Stephen Herman, 86, of Fair Haven, formerly of Detroit, died Friday, May 5, 2000, at Fraser Villa Living Care Center, Fraser. He was born Oct. 2, 1913, in Detroit.

Mr. Herman retired in 1969 from his job as a social worker for Wayne County. He was a graduate of the Wayne State University School of Law. He was a avid fisherman who had fished all over the United States and was a founding member of the Perch Point Conservation Club.

He is survived by his sisters, Rose Gerula, Kaye Linemeyer and Ann Thorsky; and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Katherine (Kotlova) Herman; brother, Michael; and sister, Mary.

A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at Fulmann and Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Road, Fraser.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Perch Point Conservation Club.
