Cooper, Norris J.
February 5, 1918 - January 23, 2004

Norris J. Cooper, 85, of Shepherd passed away on Friday, January 23, 2004, at Tendercare Nursing Home.

Norris was born on February 5, 1918, in Midland, the son of Roy and
Edith Mae (DeLong) Cooper. He married Alice Hopkins on August 10, 1940 in Ohio. Norris enlisted in the Army in 1944. He was a member of the Beaverton VFW. Norris enjoyed watching his wife fish and his special hobby, working on gas engines.

Norris is survived by his wife Alice of 63 years; children Jim (Dora) Cooper of Shepherd, John (Beverly) Cooper of Floral City, FL and Judy Smith of Inverness, FL; Eight Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren; One Brother and Three Sisters.

Norris was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter.

Cremation and private family services have taken place.

Yehling, Earl W.
September 24, 1910 - January 18, 2004

Earl W. Yehling of Mt. Pleasant passed away on January 18, 2004, at the Wooden Rocker Nursing Home.

Earl was born September 24, 1910, in St. Louis, MO, the son of Ernest and Emma (Wolfrom) Yehling. He married Robert Kaiser who preceded him in death on August 28, 2000.

Earl was employed as a train director for 40 years in St. Louis, MO.

Interment took place in St. Louis, Missouri.

Parmely, Stanley E.
August 7, 1916 - January 15, 2004

Stanley E. Parmely, age 87, of Six Lakes, formerly of Winn, MI, passed away at Tendercare in Mt. Pleasant on Thursday, January 15, 2004.

Funeral Services for Stanley will be held on Monday, January 19, at 11 a.m. at Clark Funeral Chapel, Mt. Pleasant, with Connie and Sam Price of the Victory Christian Center officiating. Burial will be at Richland cemetery in Vestaburg.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 17, from 6-8 p.m. and Sunday, January 18, from 3-5 p.m. Stan was born August 7, 1916, in Richland, MI, the son of Archie and Nina (Mason) Parmely. He married the love of his life Eleanor Jane Parmely on December 24, 1939, in Lansing. Stan was a farmer and retired from CMU as an electrician for 16 years. He also worked at Baeder Milling Company.

Stanley was a hard worker all his life. He did woodworking and fished. He was good at being a father to his children and grandchildren. Stan is survived by a daughter Lora Bischoff, Mt. Pleasant; 5 grandchildren, Kathleen Williams, Jim Williams and Jaci Richards, Ann Michel and Joan Parmely; a sister Gwendelyn Howse; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 step-children Sharon Gould and Stan Bellingar, and all his friends at the lake.

The family would like to thank ALL the staff at Tendercare for their Service and Support.

Stan was preceded in death by his best friend and wife Eleanor Parmely of 52 years on December 25, 1992; 2 sons Rodger Parmely and Ken Parmely; and 1 grandson Rodger Parmely, and his second wife Leah of 6 years.

Morrison, Francis "Frank" Wesley
March 28, 1920 - January 12, 2004

Francis “Frank” Wesley Morrison, 83, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2004, at the Isabella County Medical Care Facility.

Funeral Services for Frank will be held on Friday, January 16, at 11 a.m. from Clark Funeral Chapel with Rev. Alec Brooks officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Gardens cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 14, from 7-9 and Thursday, January 15, from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to Community Cancer Services or the American Diabetes Association. Envelopes will be available at Clark Funeral Chapel.

Frank was born March 28, 1920, in Isabella County, the son of Peter and Anna (Marshall) Morrison. He married Laura Chivington on January 18, 1945, in Mt. Pleasant. Frank served during World War II in the Army Air Corps. He was employed over 40 years as a pipefitter for MichCon, retiring in 1982. Frank was a member of the VFW Post 3033 and held all offices, including post commander and chaplain. Frank was a member of the American Legion and the Isabella County Civil Defense. He was a member of the Rosebush Presbyterian Church. Frank was active in Little League Baseball. He was inducted into the Chippewa Lanes Bowling Hall of Fame. Frank enjoyed camping, traveling, dining out, automobiles and socializing with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Frank is survived by his children, Daniel Morrison (Micheline Rocourt) of St. Johns, Michael Morrison of Grand Ledge, Patricia Crudin (Albert) of Clare, Philip Morrison (Yvonne) of Mason and Nancy Walton of Paradise, CA; 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; 1 brother William Arthur Morrison of Mt. Pleasant; and 2 sisters, Agnes Wing and Margurite Dent, both of Mt. Pleasant.

Frank was preceded in death by his wife Laura; sons William and Robert Morrison; sisters Mildred, Bonnie, Catherine and brothers Don, Bobby, and Ivan.

Deming, Cleve LeRoy
June 8, 1918 - January 12, 2004

Cleve LeRoy Deming, age 85, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Monday, January 12, 2004 at the Isabella County Medical Care Facility.

Funeral Services for Cleve will be held on Wednesday, January 14th, at 2 p.m. from Clark Funeral Chapel in Mt. Pleasant. Pastor Richard Fulkerson of the Free Methodist Church and Major Roger Saltee of the Salvation Army will officiate with interment in the Riverside cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 13th, from 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. at the Clark Funeral Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Isabella County Medical Care Facility. Envelopes will be available at Clark Funeral Chapel.

Cleve was born June 8, 1918 in Isabella County, The son of Bert and Grace (Herrington) Deming. Cleve married Leona Mae Coldwell on September 21, 1940. He worked in the construction industry as a commercial contractor, retiring in 1977. Cleve was a private in the U.S. Army, serving from 1945 to 1946. He enjoyed traveling, fishing and car racing.

Cleve is survived by his wife, Leona Mae Deming of Mt. Pleasant, children, Frank L. (Marjorie) Deming of Zeeland, MI., Bert J. Deming of Elwell, MI.; grandchildren, Steven Deming, Kristi Fosdick, Jeremy and Tonya Deming; great grandchildren, Jason and Melisia Fosdick, Tyler, Jordan and Cayden Deming; nephew, George Deming of Mt. Pleasant.

Cleve was preceded in death by both parents and a brother, Fred Deming.

Wilson, Ella Margaret
October 24, 1913 - January 9, 2004

Ella Margaret Wilson, 90, of Mt. Pleasant, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2004, at Tendercare.

Funeral Services for Ella will be held on Tuesday, January 13, at 11 a.m. from Clark Funeral Chapel with Dr. Joseph Frankenfield officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 12, from 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. at Clark Funeral Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Envelopes will be available at Clark Funeral Chapel .

Ella was born on October 24, 1913, in Isabella County, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Reihl) Kremsreiter. She married Oliver Albert Wilson on January 15, 1936 in Mt. Pleasant. Ella was a homemaker.

Ella is survived by her children, Harold E. (Jeanette) Wilson of Shepherd, Rose M. (Daniel) Buckley of Farwell, and Jerry Lee (Deb) Wilson of Mt. Pleasant; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brother Bernard Kremsreiter of St. Louis; and sisters Marie Hoffman of St. Louis, Frieda (Alvin) Schutt of Alma, and Edna Nichols of Alma.

Ella was preceded in death by her husband Oliver in 1982, brothers Donald, Alex, and Richard; and sisters Cecilia and Theresa.

Edgar, Emmer Bernece
June 10, 1925 - January 8, 2004

Bernece Edgar, 78, of Alma passed away on Thurday, January 8, 2004, at Schnepp’s Nursing Home in St. Louis.

Services for Bernece will be held on Monday, January 12, at 3 p.m., at the Ridgelawn cemetery Chapel in Breckenridge. Rev. Emily Forward of the Breckenridge United Methodist Church will officiate.

Bernece was born on June 10, 1925, in Michigan, the daughter of William and
Lillian (Dalton) Yates. She was married to Raymond D. Edgar who preceded her in death on February 26, 1992. Bernece cleaned houses and had worked in the kitchen at Schnepp’s Nursing Home. She was a former member of the Eastern Star in Breckenridge.

Bernece is survived by her son Rodney (Shirley) Edgar of Alma; 2 grandchildren, Ronald Edgar and Autumn Weismiller, both of Alma; 4 great-grandchildren, Kyla Edgar, Bailey Edgar, Corinne Weismiller, and Kira Weismiller.

Bernece was preceded in death by her husband and son Ronald.

Jennings, Raymond Irving
June 14, 1923 - January 7, 2004

Raymond Irving Jennings, 80, of Winn passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2004, at the Isabella County Medical Care Facility.

A Memorial Service for Raymond will be held on Saturday, January 10, at 11 a.m. from Clark Funeral Chapel with Pastor Randy Stehouwer of Resurrection Life Church officiating. Interment of cremains will take place in the Union cemetery in Winn, Michigan.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 9, from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at Clark Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Isabella County Medical Care Facility. Envelopes will be available at Clark Funeral Chapel .

Raymond was born June 14, 1923, in Winn, Michigan, the son of Paul and Grace (Johnston) Jennings. He had worked as a custodian for Central Michigan University and previously had worked for Ferro Manufacturing. Raymond married Naomi Jennings on June 15, 1979, in Mt. Pleasant. Raymond served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a former member of the V.F.W.-Mt. Pleasant Post. Raymond enjoyed fishing, shuffleboard, and cards.

Raymond is survived by his children Sandy Vogel (Robert), Dale Jennings (Sharon), both of Mt. Pleasant, Phillip Jennings (Barbara), Jo Simon (Mark), and Arlyn Martinez (Jesse), all of Weidman; 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and brother Allen Jennings (Pauline) of Mt. Pleasant/Zephyrhills, FL.

Raymond was preceded in death by his wife; 4 brothers Russell, Sanford, Paul Jr., and Gerald.

Dunbar, Leota Jeanette
June 22, 1936 - January 6, 2004

Leota Jeanette Dunbar, 67, of Weidman, Michigan passed away on Tuesday January 6, 2004 at the Ingham Medical Center in Lansing, MI.

Funeral Services for Leota Jeanette Dunbar will be held on Friday January 9th at 1 p.m. from the Weidman Baptist Church in Weidman. Pastor Dean Willard will officiate with interment in the East Lawn Memorial Park in Lansing, Michigan.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday and Thursday January 7th and 8th from 2 –5 & 7-9 p.m. at the Clark Funeral Chapel. Visitation will continue on Friday Jan. 9, 2004 from 12 noon until time of service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Weidman Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at Clark Funeral Chapel .

Leota was born June 22, 1936, the daughter of Leonard Ford and Eleanor (Easlick) Ford.
She married Robert Dunbar May 1980 in Lansing, Michigan. She was a member of the Weidman Baptist Church. Her hobbies included fishing and recently golf.

Leota Jeanette Dunbar is survived by her husband, Robert of Weidman, 2 children, Roxanna (James) Kavanagh of Akron, OH., Doran (Paula) Blakeslee of Lyle, Ill.
1 grandson, Ethan Blakeslee.
Her Mother , Eleanor Easlick of Lansing, 2 brothers, Justin (Jan) Ford of Florida, Charles (Joan) Ford of Montana.

Leota was preceded in death by her father.

Brundage, Raymond John
March 2, 1979 - January 5, 2004

Raymond Brundage, age 24, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2004 in Grand Rapids.

Funeral Services for Raymond will be held Friday, January 16th at 3 p.m. from the Clark Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until time of service on Friday.

Raymond was born March 2, 1979 in Grayling, Michigan. The son of John Klumpp and Anita Fracier. He worked at the Soaring Eagle Casino.

Raymond is survived by his parents and a sister Jessica Fracier of Mt. Pleasant.
