Dear son of Janice Kimball of Haijic Jalisco, Mexico and John Kimball of Marshall. Dear brother of Terry Kimball of Inkster and John Kimball of Ypsilanti. Also survived by his grandmother, Ruah Kimball of Kalkaska and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews. Andy graduated from Harper Creek High School in 1978.
Funeral Service: Saturday, March 24, 2007, 2:00 p.m., at COATS FUNERAL HOME, Waterford.

HUNDLEY, EMMET M. of Pontiac Formerly of W. Virgina. Went home to be with the Lord on March 5, 2007 at 77 years of age. Loving husband of Freda for 58 years. Beloved father of Diana Hundley, James Hundley and Emmett Hundley. Dear brother of Rose (the late Sherman)Vealey, Holley (Leona) Hundley, Robert (Mildred) Hundley, June (James) Combs, James (Noreen) Hundley, Wavie (Earnest) Chappel, Lovie (Jerry) Ruloff, Charles (Sue) Hundley, Jerry Hundley and the late Stanley Hundley. Brother in law of Mildred Hundley. Friend like a brother to Dave Barnette Beloved Paw Paw of Melody and Aaron Prince, Angela Conner, Amy Clifton, James Hundley Jr. and the late Jeremy Prince. Also survived by 11 great grandchildren. Mr. Hundley loved and lived for his family. He loved to cook. Emmet retired from Pontiac Motors in 1982 after 30 years of service. He played guitar and sang. Mr. Hundley was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Funeral Service: Friday, March 9, 2007 11:00 AM at COATS FUNERAL HOME, Waterford. Pastor John Fields will officiate. Interment following at Christian Memorial Cultural cemetery in Rochester Hills.
Visitation: Wednesday 6:00-9:00 PM and Thursday 3:00-5:00 & 7:00-9:00 PM.

GARTEN, CARL H. SR. of Waterford died March 19, 2007 at 72 years of age. Beloved husband of Shirley for 51 years. Loving father of Carl �Sonny� (Jeri) Garten Jr., John (Sabrina) Garten, Tina Weishaar, Jamie Garten, David (Tonya) Garten and Terry Garten (Nancy Dawson). Dearest grandfather of Amber (Adam), Alicia, Fredrick, Tony, Christie, Devin, James Jr., Rebecca, Keith, Crystal, David Jr., Shana, Cade and Deja; great grandfather of Adam Jr. Also survived by his sister Delores McKinney (Willie), several nieces and nephews and special friends Marlene and Donny. Preceded in death by 4 brothers and 1 sister. Carl retired from Pontiac Fisher Body. He enjoyed going to the park to watch the deer and traveling.
Funeral Service: 10:00 AM Friday March 23, 2007 at COATS FUNERAL HOME, Waterford. Burial will follow at Crescent Hills cemetery, Waterford. Pastor Clarence Salisbury officiating.
Visitation: Wednesday from 6:00-9:00 PM and Thursday from 3:00-5:00 & 7:00-9:00 PM.

FERGUSON, VELMA R. of Waterford. March 2, 2007 at 78 years of age. Wife of the late Gerald. Loving mother Carla Edens and Candace Ferguson and her husband Steve. Loving sister of Marie Buckner, Glen Young, Homer Young, Bill Young, the late Loretta Ferguson and the late Richard Young. Beloved grandmother of Andrea Deering and Kristin Edens. Great grandmother of Griffen and Chandler Deering. Velma worked for Division Printing and Hagstrom Real Estate. She volunteered in her younger days for F.I.S.H. and at the C.A.I. She enjoyed tending to her garden and her family.

Visitation: Monday from 11:00 AM until the time of service.

CURRY, JOAN E. (nee Churchill) of Clarkston, March 28, 2007 at age 68.Wife of Daniel for 49 years. Mother of Dawn (Jerry) Showerman and Brian (Barb) Curry. Nana of Joshua Curry, Jacob & Lucas Showerman. Sister of Nancy Smith, Anita (Tom) Simpson, Hugh (MaryLou) Churchill. Sister in law of Sally Ross, John (Sally) Curry, Mary Ellen (Joe) Antonucci. Also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces.
Funeral Service: Saturday, March 31, 2007, 2:00 p.m., at COATS FUNERAL HOME, Waterford.
Visitation: Saturday from 1:00-2:00 p.m.

BLACKERBY, CHRIS E., Age 51, of Waterford; passed away March 24, 2007. Son of Glenn and Dorothy Blackerby. Father of Dean Bard of Ann Arbor. Brother of Deborah Blackerby of CA, George Blackerby of Pontiac and Carol (Charles) Cutcher of Pontiac. Uncle to Shelly, Jeremy, Jeffrey, Greg and Stevi. Great Uncle to Jillian. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. Chris was a member of Peace Lutheran Church.

Dear father of Dinah (Rick) Allshouse, Daniel Alexander, Douglas (Diane) Alexander and Donald (Christine) Alexander. Grandfather of Dalin and Derek Allshouse, Nathan, Maria, Darcy and Dana Alexander. Richard retired from GM Fisher Body and was a veteran of the U.S. Army WWII.

SPURLOCK, MILDRED L., of Waterford, died February 7, 2007 at 94 years of age. Beloved wife of the late Dewey Spurlock. Loving mother of Carolyn (Roy) Hoskins of Homosassa, FL, Duaine (Vicki) Spurlock of Commerce Twp., Sharon (Bill) Shirley of Ocala, FL and Kathy (Chuck) Mortensen of Ocala, FL. Dearest grandmother of 15, great grandmother of 28 and great great grandmother of 13. Preceded in death by 3 sisters, 2 brothers and is survived by many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Spurlock was a long time member of Community Presbyterian Church where she was active with the Woman�s Association. She was an avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles and cooking. She was an accomplished seamstress and loved working in her flower garden.
Funeral Service: 11:00 AM Saturday February 10, 2007 at Community Presbyterian Church (4301 Monroe Ave. Waterford). Burial will follow at Ottawa Park cemetery, Clarkston. Dr. Thomas C. Hartley will officiate.
Visitation: Friday from 3:00-9:00 PM at COATS FUNERAL HOME, Waterford and Saturday at church from 10:00 AM until time of service.

SMITH, ELBERT DALE of Orion Twp.; February 17, 2007 at 83 years of age. Born December 17, 1923 in Braxton Co., West Virginia to the late James and Audra Smith. Beloved husband of the late Aldah Smith; Dear father of Mildred Thompson, Barbara (Donald) Block and Michael (Kathleen LaBrosse) Smith. Grandfather of Candi, Carrie, Steven, Dale, Sandra, Norman, Tonia, Shelley and Randy. Brother of Mable Thompson, Margaret Harper, Shirley (James) Anderson, Tommie Smith, Bonnie (Leon) Peal, Gary Smith, Linda Letart, Janet Halsted and the late James Smith, Susie Letart, John Smith and Kenneth Smith; also survived by numerous great grandchildren. Elbert retired from General Motors in 1984 after 30 years. He was veteran of the U.S. Army, WWII and loved to travel, read and was always a helping hand.
Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at Coats Funeral Home, Waterford. Interment will be at Christian Memorial cemetery, Rochester Hills.

Also survived by 13 grandchildren. Sandra loved to play bingo and she along with Paulette played often at the Baldwin House.
