Julie Paddison

Age 74, passed away April 20, 2007.

She was born on September 8, 1932, in Detroit, to Jules and Melita (Lampkin) Ruerat.

She was an avid card and Bridge player at the Senior Center in her neighborhood.

She was known for volunteering, especially with MAPP, National PTA, and receiving numerous awards for her time and efforts for Midwest Aids Prevention Project.

She was a longtime employee of the Livonia Public Schools.

She is survived by her husband, William of 50 years, her loving children: Bill (Elena), Heather (John) Muir, three grandchildren: Brody, Clay, and Ava, one brother: Jules Ruerat.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 23, from 3 - 6 p.m., with a Memorial Service at 6:00 p.m., at Phillips Funeral Home, South Lyon.

Memorial contributions may be made to The March of Dimes.

Mildren Werner

April 11, 2007 of Garden City. Beloved wife of Welden.

Beloved wife of Welden.

Beloved mother of Bonnie and Gary.

Sister of Bonnie Raper.

Grandmother of Kimberly, Scott, Nicole and Jessica, five great grandchildren and special friend Bugsy.

Visitation was Saturday, April 14, 2-5pm at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 34567 Michigan Ave., Wayne.

In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to Alzheimer's Association.

Constance Fenton

Of Farmington Hills, MI. died Tuesday, April 10, 2007.

Preceded in death by parents, Reuben and Sophie Album of Minneapolis, MN.

survived by children, Cynthia Fenton of Cheverly, MD., and Robert L. (Aileen) Fenton Jr. of Fort Myers, FL.; grandchildren, Robert L. Fenton III, Halle Marie Fenton and Olivia Paige Fenton; and a sister, Marjorie Victor.

Funeral arrangements by the Hodroff Epstein Funeral Home, Minneapolis.

Funeral services were held on Friday, April 13, at 3 p.m. at Temple Israel, Minneapolis.

There will also be a memorial service, on Tuesday, April 17, at 12:30 p.m. at Temple Beth El, 7400 Telegraph Road, Bloomfield Hills.

The family requests that memorial contributions be sent tot the American Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice.

Edward C. Cooke

Age 85, April 12, 2007.

Beloved husband of Margaret for 61 years.

Dear father of Kevin (Kimberly).

Grandfather of Matthew (Megan), Elizabeth and Laura.

Brother of Victoria Kareus, Adelaide Leggatt and the late Clarion Cooke and Walter Cooke.

Funeral service Monday 11am at A.J. Desmond & Sons (Vasu, Rodgers & Connell Chapel), 32515 Woodward (btwn 13-14 Mile).

Family will receive friends Sunday 3-8p.m. Interment White Chapel cemetery.

Helen Edna Rennell

Age 86 of Birmingham, Michigan passed away at the home of her son, Dale on April 6, 2007 after an extended illness.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Earl Rennell of Birmingham and parents, Leo and Opal Swindler of Troy, MI; one brother and four sisters.

She is survived by four sons, Jim Rennell, Cookeville, TN, Jerry Rennell, Clarkston, MI, Dale Rennell, Warren, MI, and Dean Rennell Phoenix, AZ; two brothers, Jerry Swindler of Cape Coral, FL and Glenn Swindler of Lady Lakes, FL; thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was a past president of Elkettes, Clawson/Troy, MI and a member of Providence Baptist Church in Cookeville, TN.

She was cremated and her ashes will be interned in a memorial service that will be held at White Chapel Memorial cemetery, 621 West Long Lake, Troy, MI at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 10, 2007.

Friends are invited to join with the family for this memorial service.

In lieu of flowers it was her wish that any donation be sent to St. John's Hospice, 1471 E. 12 Mile Road, Madison Heights, MI, 48071.

John A. Fratto

Age 66, April 24, 2007.

Beloved father of Cherie (Frank) Bruni and John (Teresa).

Grandfather of Jacob, Ben and Joey.

Brother of Rosalie Dean, Antoinette Nicholson and Bernard Fratto of California.

Services were held. Arrangements by Santeiu & Son.

Elizabeth Ann Johnson
Age 60 of Fountain Hills, AZ died Thursday, April 5th, 2007 at Scottsdale Osborne Hospital.

She was born Oct. 14th, 1946 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Glen and Marie Johnson.

She is survived by her son Ronald (Stephanie) Chambell, Jr. and grandson Dohonvan and daughter Theresa Chambell and grandson Paul.

She is also survived by 4 sisters, Mrs. James (Rita) Hines, Elaine Johnson, Mrs. William (Jane) McCarthy, and Mrs. Kim (Ann) Pelky, dear friend Dan Beck, many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Virginia, MaryEllen, and Carolyn and brother Paul.

She was a graduate of South Lyon High School.

Gerald E. Czarnecki

Age 68, April 24, 2007.

Loving husband of Maureen.

Father of Sara (Adam) Levitsky, Jeffrey and Matthew.

Grandfather of Abigail, Michael, Max and Miranda.

Brother of Patricia (Dr. Brian) Miller and John.

Visitation Sunday 4-9pm at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile, Livonia.

Monday prayers at the funeral home at 9:45 am, proceeding to the Church of Holy Family, 24505 Meadowbrook, Novi for his Funeral Mass at 11:00 am.

Opal Oliver
Of White Lake, April 22, 2007, age 70.

Born June 3, 1936 in Harlen, KY.

Daughter of the late Hefferman and Bessie Ross; wife of Nelson Oliver; mother of Nelson S. Oliver (Diana), Lisa Anderson (Patrick), and Keith J. Oliver (Vickie); grandmother of Stacy Anderson, Brandon Anderson, Clint Oliver, Billy Plummer and Dalayna Plummer, Hope Oliver, Shania Oliver and Anthony Oliver; sister of Betty Keuthan; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Oliver was an avid bingo player and enjoyed going to the casinos.

A Celebration of Opal's Life was held Tuesday, April 24, 2007, 2:00 p.m. at Donelson, Johns and Evans Funeral Home, Waterford.

Pastor Johnny Clements officiated.

Interment Highland cemetery.

Visitation was held at the funeral home Monday 3-5 and 7-9 p.m.

Edward William DeGhetto

Age 78, died April 19, 2007.

A Funeral Mass was held on April 24 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, South Lyon.

Arrangements by Phillips Funeral Home, South Lyon.

Virginia B. Stolz

Age 91, a lifetime resident of Milford, died April 19, 2007.

Preceded in death by her husband Howard A. Stolz, Sr. and her granddaughter, Tracy.

survived by her beloved children, Howard A. (Barbara) Stolz, Jr., Karen Ann (Gary) McKay, Jay Thomas (Katherine) Stolz, Douglas G. (Tonya) Stolz; grandchildren, Mark (Teresa) Stolz, Michelle (Rick) Mirecki, Scott (Heather Phillips) Powers, Stefanie (Ronnie) Carr, Matthew (Anne) Stolz; great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Sarah, Kaitlyn, Ronnie and Sutton.

Also many extended family members, dear friends and neighbors.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made to Odyssey Hospice or Karmanos Cancer Institute for breast cancer research.
