Age 61 of Novi passed away Saturday, April 14, 2007 from lung cancer. He was a U.S. Army veteran. survived by son Stephen, daughters Kimberly and Magnum, 5 grandchildren, brothers Paul, William, Lenn (Kris) and sisters Eva and Wanda (Bud). Cremation has taken place.

Albert Lee, Jr.
Age 75, passed away April 21, 2007. A Memorial Service will be held on Sat., April 28 at 11 a.m. at the Fellowship Baptist Church, 10774 Nine Mile Rd. Whitmore Lake. Phillips Funeral Home, South Lyon.

Marion Frank Pajas
Age 92, of Cumming, GA and West Bloomfield, MI, died Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at his residence. A native of Michigan, he had resided in Cumming for the past five years with his daughter. He worked for 53 years for the Ford Motor Company as an Automotive Analyst. Mr. Pajas was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Malay Pajas in 1999. He is survived by daughters Pamela (David) Burke of West Bloomfield, MI and Marian Janet Cook of Cumming; grandchildren Amy Pajas, Christopher (Paula) Cook, David Burke, Christine Burke & Rene Renteria, Michael (Cherie) Burke, Steven (Atsuko) Burke; and great-grandchildren Chase Cook, Lauren Cook, Matthew Pajas, Rachel Renteria and Alexander Renteria. Mr. Pajas was cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by McDonald and Son Funeral Home & Crematory, 150 Sawnee Drive, Cumming, GA 30040 (770)886-9899.

James P. Gross
Northville, MI. Age 73, died April 18, 2007 at his home. He was born October 8, 1933 in Jackson, KY the son of Arthur and Nancy (Allen) Gross. On November 1, 1957 in Hamburg, MI Jim married Patricia Hollis, she preceded him in death on June 28, 2001. Survivors include her son Timothy (Judy) Gross of Northville Twp., his daughter in law Shree Gross of Northville, grandchildren, Jason Coleman, Amber (Clayton) Taylor, Kristy, Tara, Brandon and Nicole Gross, great grandchild Madison Taylor and sister Lois (Henry) Deaton of IN. His son Gerry precedes him in death. A Healing Farewell was held on April 23, 2007 at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel with Rev. Carl F. Welser officiating. Burial will be in Hamburg cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Ruth M. Hitt
Age 88, of Alpena, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 4, 2007 at Tendercare Alpena.
Ruth was born on July 23, 1918 to the late James and Fredrecka (Schrader) Norman in Detroit, MI. She married Vernell W. Hitt on August 17, 1940 in Toledo, Ohio. Ruth was employed as a secretary at Wayne County Training School for many years and later worked in the family greenhouse for 20 years. Ruth loved flowers, carving figurines and painting. She also enjoyed the dolls she collected.
Ruth is survived by her loving husband, Vernell of 66 years; her son, Bill and wife, Judy Hitt of Alpena; two grandchildren, William "Rob" Jr. Hitt of Margate, FL and Sherrie (Mrs. Paul) Carnarvon of Allen Park, MI; two great-grandchildren, Paulie and Jessica Carnarvon; one brother, Robert and wife Jo Norman of Kalkaska, MI, as well as several nieces and nephews. Ruth was preceded in death by two brothers, Louis and William Norman.
Per her wishes, Ruth has been taken from the Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home for cremation.

Made her transition on Saturday May 5th 2007.
Her body is being handled by Swanson's Funeral Homes, Detroit. She will lie in State on Friday May 11th. 2007 at Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church, 29066 Eton, Westland, MI. 48186, 3:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Services will be held also at Gethsemane on Saturday May 12, 2007. Family Hour: 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m.

Maxie M. Sharp
Of Farmington Hills. Age 74. May 8, 2007.
Beloved wife of Roger for 40 years. Loving mother of Joan, Judith, Gerland, John, Peggy, Roger and the late David, Glenna, Janie, and Sandra. Cherished grandmother of Jasen, Joshua, Kristopher, Curin, Brian, Theresa, Brandy, Brandon, Zachary, Jaylynn, Byron, Chris, Jordan, Derek and Marisa. Great-grandmother of Blake, Hunter, Chayton, Mike and Alex. Dear Sister of Gene Bradley.
Funeral Saturday (time pending) at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home, 33603 Grand River Ave, downtown Farmington (1 blk. W. of Farmington Rd.). Visitation Thursday 5-9 P.M. and Friday 2-9 P.M. Interment at New Hudson cemetery.

Henry Joseph Vallier
A resident of Westland, and former resident of Hamburg Township and Milford, died on Saturday, January 14th, 2006 after recently being diagnosed with terminal cancer. He was 78 years old. Born on March 31, 1927 in Midland County, Michigan, he was the son of Eugene & Florence (Breasbois) Valliere and grew up in Merrill, Michigan where he attended the Valliere School. In 1943 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, and was stationed in Florida and later Okinawa during World War II. He returned from war and went to work with the Ford Rouge Plant in Dearborn, where he worked as a technician for over thirty-eight years. Henry was an avid golfer, loved feeding the birds at his home, keeping a vegetable garden and flower beds, family barbecues, and anything that allowed him to enjoy the out-of-doors. He is survived by his son, Sydney (Linda) Valliere of Jackson, daughter, Valerie Wogan of Westland, eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gwendolyn Valliere in 1967 and wife, Peggy Valliere in 2004. Funeral Services were held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, Milford, on Tuesday, January 17th, 2006, with Fr. Tom Fleming officiating. Burial was in Milford Memorial cemetery with full military honors. Memorials may be made to Angela Hospice or to the Am. Cancer Society. For further information please phone 248-684-6645

Virginia G. Letzring
Virginia G. Letzring, 94, of Marshall, Michigan, died Wednesday February 22, 2006. Virginia was born April 15, 1911 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Willard and Alice (Aspin) Lawson. She graduated from St. Mary's Academy in Monroe, MI. She married Carl Heinrich Letzring 11-01-1933. During her early marriage, she worked at D.J. Healy Company in Detroit. In 1944 she moved to South Lyon, Michigan where she and Heinie eventually opened C.H. Letzring Insurance Agency, which also included his law practice and real estate business. Virginia was an accomplished seamstress, did exquisite needlepoint, loved to travel, garden and was active in community affairs. She was a member of The Tuesday Club, the South Lyon Historical Society, was instrumental in building South Lyon's first city library, was a member of Holy Cross Episcopal Church in Novi. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, her half sister Mary Rahn, and nephew John Gagne. Surviving are sons, Lawson (Bernadette) Letzring of South Lyon and Kurt (Pamela) Letzring of Marshall, Michigan. Surviving also are two grandchildren, Bryndis (Peter) Rubin and great grandchildren Owen and Helena of Camp Lejeune, N.C. and Hans (Toby) Letzring and great grandson, Aidan of Pleasant Ridge, MI. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to the South Lyon Historical Society with assistance from Phillips Funeral Home in South Lyon.

Beverly B. "Betty" Janssen
Age 84 of Howell, formerly of Hartland and New Lisbon, WI, died October 19, 2006. Beloved mother of: Carolyn Jacobs of Highland, Laurel (Dan) Ellerbrook of Buchanan, MI. Grandmother of: Stephanie Jacobs, Lee Ellerbrook, Sulin Ellerbrook. Also survived by her sister Lauella Cloyd and numerous good friends, including Anne Ballingall. A Memorial Service was held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 404 E. Liberty, Milford, Tuesday 11AM. Pastor Terry Claus officiated. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Robert (Bob) V. Crusinberry
Robert V. Crusinberry, 75, of Highland. Born January 28, 1931, in Valentine, Nebraska. Died October 17, 2006. Father of Christy Sheffler, Holly Crusinberry, & Michael Reiner. Grandfather of Brandon Sheffler, Jayson Smith, and Michael Millsap. Also survived by sisters Mary Hope Neuharth and Lee (Dick) Burd, both of Canton, SD and numerous nieces & nephews. Predeceased by parents Belva & Vinton Crusinberry. Korean Veteran of the US Navy. Retired from Ford Tractor. Per Bob's request, no services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to the Michigan Humane Society. Arrangements were entrusted to the Elton Black Funeral Home, Highland Chapel.

August 27, 1931-November 6, 2006.

Maurine Sinclair
Age 98, of Marshall formerly of Homer, passed away Sun. Oct. 22, 2006. She was born Nov. 22, 1907 in Grand Rapids, MI to Floyd & Georgia Cilley. She was married to Paul Sinclair in E. Lansing in 1930.

Clarence John Locke
Formerly of East Lansing and Milford, Michigan, passed peacefully on September 28th in Cape Coral, Florida. Husband of the late June Locke, he is survived by Maxine Locke of North Fort Myers, Florida, sons John (Kaye) Locke and Gary (Janet) Locke, grandsons Nathan, Jason (Tasha), Jerry (Jenny), and Matthew, and great grandson Coda. Memorial Service on Saturday, October 28 at 10:00 am at Gorsline-Rumciman East Chapel in East Lansing with burial following the service.
Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association in lieu of flowers
