Jeffrey Allen Gerstler
Age 48, of Tecumseh, passed away March 15, 2009. Jeffrey was born June 1, 1960 in Ann Arbor, Michigan the son of Paul and Janet (Armbruster) Gerstler.
He was a 1978 graduate of Clinton High School. For over 20 years he worked for Rhetech, Inc. and recently was self employed. Jeff enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR and motorcycle riding.
Jeff is survived by his mother Janet Gerstler of Tecumseh, brother Mark Gerstler of Washington Courthouse, OH; grandmother, Florence Armbruster of Ann Arbor, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his father, Paul. Upon Jeffrey's request cremation has taken place.
Memorial services will take place 3:00 PM Thursday March 19, 2009, at Clinton United Methodist Church with Rev. Faye McKinstry officiating.
A luncheon in honor of Jeffrey will follow after the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Arrangements by J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh.
Richard E. Salyer
Richard E. Salyer, age 53, passed away, March 15, 2009. Immediate cremation has taken place.
Ann Jackowski
Age 80, of Brooklyn, formerly of Tecumseh, went to be with the Lord, Monday March 16, 2009. She was born November 23, 1928 in Hamtramck the daughter of Stanley and Anna (Gabrych) Zakoscielny. In 1954 she married Joseph Jackowski. He preceded her in death in 1986. Ann lived with her family in Tecumseh from 1958 until 1986 when she moved to Brooklyn. Anna worked for the Adrian Training School, retiring in 1991. After retirement she worked for Country Market decorating cakes. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary. Anna loved to play shuffleboard and cards with her good friend "Bud". She also shared many special moments with lifelong Joanne Golowic.
She will be greatly missed by family and friends. Ann is survived by four children, Doug Jackowski of Adrian, Christopher (Tonda) Jackowski of Stark, FL, Mark Jackowski of Tecumseh, and Joann Jackowski of Georgia; brother, Joseph (Betty) Church of Pellston; sister, Dorothy (George) Beaves of Dubuque, IA; 7 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren, and her beloved dog, "Pumpkin". A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM Friday March 20, 2009 at St. Joseph Shrine Catholic Church, Irish Hills with Rev. Fr. Carl Simon officiating. Interment will follow at Brookside cemetery, Tecumseh. Visitation will be from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh.
A Scripture Service will also be 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Rita Richter, age 89, passed away, March 17, 2009, at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI. Burial will take place in Calvary cemetery in Omaha, Nebraska. May God rest her soul.

Age 71, resident of Detroit, MI, passed away, March 17, 2009, at Sinai Grace Hospital in Detroit, MI. Her family has made arrangements for an immediate cremation. May God rest her soul.
Bradley T. McTaggart
Age 55, of Maumee, OH, formerly of Eaton Rapids & Adrian, MI, went to be with The Lord, on March 18, 2009. He was born May 7, 1953, in Tecumseh, MI, the son of Bob & Joyce McTaggart. He was a graduate of Saline High School class of 1971.
He is survived by his wife, Thais Corinne McTaggart, his children; Bradley T. (Stacey) McTaggart, Charity McTaggart and Isaac McTaggart, three grandchildren, Tyler, Trevor and Hannah, his parents, Bob & Joyce McTaggart, three brothers, Rob (Sherry) McTaggart, Todd McTaggart (Amy Natanblut), and Thomas Hicks, and one sister, Patty (Jerry) Whitaker.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Randy and his grandparents.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM Saturday March 28, 2009, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian. Memorial Services will be held 2:00 PM, with Rev. Karen Hutt officiating. A luncheon will follow at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, MI.
Dorothy Jeanne Fairburn
Resident of Adrian, MI, passed away on Thursday March 19, 2009 at Bixby Medical Center surrounded by her family as she went to be with the Lord.
She was born May 4, 1928 in Lima , Ohio to Daniel O. and Helen A. (Moran) Eversole. She was employed for 15 years at Adrian Public Schools as a Teachers Aide. She retired in 1986.
She is survived by her children Nancy Fairburn and David Black, Jeanne (Carl) Pickering, Kathy Miller, Vivian Bradish and Doug Johnson, and Jodie (Tom) Fenstemacher; grandchildren Carla Furman and Dr. Tom Kosmyna, Dean (Candi Bowen) Pickering, Anthony (Megan) Pickering, Darrell (Deana) Pickering, Stephanie (Brian) Powers, Misty Miller and Charles Miller; great grandchildren Sharee (Mike) Boellner, Andrea Furman, Ethan Kosmyna, Tyler, Caitlyn, Audrey and Carly Pickering, Paris and Ashton Humphreys and great great grandchild Logan Boellner.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one son Robert Daniel Pratt, 1st husband Robert Pratt 2nd husband Foster J. Fairburn, siblings Hubert, Dwight, Harrison, and Daniel Eversole, Mary Jane Mertz, Rose Valentine, Wilmetta “Billie” Springer, Delores Cardone, and two son-in-laws Charles Miller and Douglas Bradish.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM, Tuesday, March 24, 2009, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, with Rev. Michael Vickers officiating. Burial will follow in Lenawee Hills Memorial Park, Adrian. Visitation will be on Monday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and also on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the time of service at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, MI.
Donald R. Horton
Age 67, of Adrian, passed away November 21, 2008 at home, surrounded by his family. On July 13, 1963, he married Susan Blain, she survives. Donald also known as "BC" worked in the trucking industry for most of his life. Donald served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1958 to 1964. He was a member of the Solid Rock Church in Clinton, MI. He was an avid car enthusiast owning a 1952 Chevrolet and a member of the Adrian Street Cruisers.
In addition to his wife Susan, he is survived by his children; David (Lori) Horton, John (Wendy) Horton, Laura (Scott) McCoy, and Samantha Horton all of Adrian, nine grandchildren, and two great grandchildren, one sister, Sara Nell (Wayne) Seymore of Adrian. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Joyce, and one granddaughter Erin Horton.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 25, 2008, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, with Pastor Tim Richmond officiating. Burial will follow in Palmyra cemetery with Military Honors conducted by the U.S. Navy Funeral Honors Team, Toledo, OH. Visitation will be on Monday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at J. Gilbert Purse funeral Home, Adrian. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Donald's family.

Robert "Joe" Robinson
Robert "Joe" Robinson, 54, of Adrian, passed away, November 24, 2008, at Bixby Medical Center. He was born April 6, 1954, in Adrian, MI, the son of Thomas & Della (Wood) Robinson. He married Kimberly Allison, she survives. Joe's hobbies were mowing lawn, listening to classic country music, and taking walks with his wife.
In addition to his wife Kimberly, he is also survived by his biological daughter, Crystal Fletcher, his parents Thomas & Della Robinson, two brothers; Jack (Ann) Robinson and Thomas (Donna) Robinson, three grandchildren, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, three brother in laws, and several sister in laws.
He was preceded in death by his son, Joe Jr., his grandparents, and his mother & father in law, along with aunts and uncles.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, November 28, 2008, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian. Burial will follow in Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday and Thursday 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian.

Lila M. Davis
Age 85, of Tecumseh, passed away November 27, 2008 at Grand Court surrounded by her loving family. Lila was born August 10, 1923 in Mt. Morris, MI the daughter of William and Emma (Reinsteadler) McCulloch.
She married William E. Davis, Sr. and he preceded her in death. Lila retired from Saline Hospital after many years of service.
She was a member of the Tecumseh United Methodist Church and active in their women's circles.
Surviving Lila are her children, William E. (Sheila) Davis, Jr. of Adrian, Craig Davis of Tecumseh and Pennie (David) Morton of Oxford, MI; sister, Geri Brown of Richmond, VA; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Besides her husband, William, Lila was preceded in death by an infant son, Michael; parents and brother, Robert McCulloch.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A. M. Saturday, November 29, 2008 at the Tecumseh United Methodist Church with the Rev. David McKinstry officiating.
Burial will follow in Brookside cemetery, Tecumseh. Visitation will be 6 - 8 P. M. Friday, November 28, 2008 at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Tecumseh United Methodist Church or the American Diabetes Association.
