During WWII he was a parachusetts/infintryman for the 101 Airborne Division. He participated in teh D-Day invasion at Normandy nad later became a P.O.W. He earned a purple heart with 2 bronze Oakleaf clusters while in Europe. Visiting hours Thursday 3-9 PM, Friday 2-9 PM, Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson, St. Clair SHores.
