SHORT, BETTY REIFEL, Age 81, died suddenly at her home in Milford on Tuesday, February 6. A former resident of Grosse Pointe. Mrs Short was an active volunteer throughout her lifetime. She was President of the volunteers for Children s Hospital in Detroit. She also volunterred at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, Bon Secours Hospital in Grosse Pointe, Union Hospital in Terre Haute and Huron Valley Sinai Hospital in Milford. She is survived by her daughter Mary Halsted. Sons George and Peter Short. Three grandchildren and her brother John Reifel of Grand Rapids. She was predeceased by her husband Paul N. Short. A private family Memorial Service will ge held at a later date.
