Robert is survived by his father, Earl Slayton of Taylor, two sisters, Sandra Purcial of Taylor and Tommy Cash of Canton, MI, two brothers, Sterling Mino of Belleville and Earl B. Slayton of Taylor. Funeral services will be Saturday, Apr. 3rd. at 11:00 a.m. at the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home, in Hillsdale. Interment will take place at Maple Grove cemetery in Jefferson Twp. Visitation will be Thursday & Friday evening from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Past President of the Holy Name Society, Detroit, MI. Past President of the Michigan State Nursing Home Association and member of the Michigan and Florida Bar Association. He is survived by sons; George J. Armbruster, III of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Thomas J. Armbruster of Ocala, FL, Michael E. Armbruster of Palm City, FL and Daniel J. Armbruster of The Woodlands, Texas; daughters, Mary K. Armbruster of Hillsboro Beach, FL, Anne E. Matthews of Brighton, MI and Patricia E. Cutolo of Boca Reaton, FL; sister, Eileen Embach of Grosse Pointe, MI; 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. AVANT, CARLTON SCOTT (Scottie) Born October 15, 1957, in Greensboro, N.C. Died March 28. Carlton was the older of two sons, born to Lena Clara Avant and the late Purvis Lee Avant, Sr.. In 1982 he married his soul mate Brenda Louise Murray and in 1984 they dedicated their lives to Jehovah God. In 1985, he started work at Ford Motor s Research Center as a Research Engineer. Her four brothers, one sister, three grandchildren Christopher, Sarah, and Zack also survive her. Her three brothers preceded her in death.
