VAN KAMPEN, FRANCES, Beloved wife, mother and grandmother died peacefully on Friday, April 24, 1998 at her winter home in Naples, Florida. Frances was born in Leamington, Ontario, daughter of Charles and Stella Hyatt. She was graduated from O'Niels College of Business. In 1951, she married her beloved husband Robert of 46 years and moved to Farmington Hills where they raised their family. Because of their love for Northern Michigan lakes and woods, Fran and Bob retired in 1987 to Cadillac, Michigan. Fran was a talented pianist & painter and also enjoyed skiing, golfing and bridge. She supported the First Presbyterian Church in Cadillac, Michigan. Survivors include husband; Robert, sons; Robert and wife, Sharon of West Bloomfield, Douglas of Detroit, and two very precious grandchildren; Scott Anthony and Sarah Frances. Fran was kind, loving, and will be greatly missed by her husband, family and friends. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 17 at 1PM at the Hitesman Funeral Home located at 620 North Mitchell St. in Cadillac, Michigan. BYREM, VERA C., Lansing, formerly of Detroit. Devoted wife and mother, age 75, passed away on April 4, 1998. Vera was born on September 29, 1922 in Mt. Carmel, PA. She had been a resident of Detroit since 1950, until moving to Lansing in December, 1997. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alva Byrem in 1995, son, Scott Byrem, and grandson, Andrew Byrem. Grandmother of eight, great grandmother of 22 and great greatgrandmother of 11. Sister of Stanley (Lillian) Saksewski of Belleville, MI. Visitation Monday Noon-9 p.m. at David C. WILLIAMS, ESTHER HELEN (nee ROBBINS). Died on April 4, 1998 of complications of pulmonary disease, at Howell, Michigan. She was 77. She was a resident of St. Clair Shores, Michigan until recently when she moved to the Medilodge of Howell Nursing Home. She was born on July 24, 1920 in Harrison, Michigan. She was the eleventh child of Stephen L. Robbins and Cora Belle (MacFadden) Robbins. She moved to Detroit after graduation from high school. She married Frank B. Williams on December 1, 1940. She is survived by two sons, Jeffrey F. Williams (Carol Jean) of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan and Timothy L. Williams (Barbara) of Brighton, Michigan, and eight grandchildren, Dulcy A. Williams of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Erin E. Williams of San Diego, California, Britt M. Williams of Sacramento, California, Michael T. Williams of New Haven, Connecticut, Leif C. Williams of Madison, Wisconsin, Stephen J. Williams of Brighton, Michigan, Lesley A. Williams of Brighton, Michigan, and Seth K. Williams of Green Bay, Wisconsin. She is also survived by sister Mildred of Texas, brother Elvin and sister Charlotte of Lansing, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Frank B. Williams, and seven brothers and one sister. Prior to her retirement, she was a Wayne County Jury Commissioner, and former Chairman of the Wayne County Jury Commission. Private family services are planned with interment in the family burial plot in Cadillac Memorial Gardens. Arrangements handled by the Keehn Funeral Home, Brighton.

YERKES, DONALD E., passed away on March 30, 1998 in Naples, Florida. He is survived by his wife Joan Poe Yerkes; two daughters Susan O'Leary and Nancy Yerkes-Welsh and three grandchildren. A memorial service will be held in May at the Grosse Pointe Methodist Church at 211 Moross, Grosse Pointe, MI 48236. Contributions can be sent to the church or American Red Cross.
