She was a member of the Federated Church of Grass Lake and a life member of the Eastern Star. She was a retired secretary with the State of Michigan after 21 years of service. JENSEN, MARY FLORENCE 81 of Big Rapids, formerly of Detroit, died May 11, 200 at the Mecosta County General in Big Rapids, MI. She was born on July 26, 1918 in Detroit, MI and was a daughter of the late Claude Mary (Sharlow) Bates. Mrs. Jensen is a retired postal worker at the Fort St. Branch in Detroit. She is survived by a son Robert (Gloria) Jensen and their daughter Erin of Hersey; and her daughter Barbara Jensen and her daughter Deanna Attee of Plymouth. A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 20, 2000 at the Country Way Apartments Community Room in Big Rapids, MI.
