She was united in marriage to George Dahl and the couple resided their lifetime in Laurium. She attended the Faith Lutheran Church in Calumet. Preceding her in death were her parents, one brother-Charles, one sister-Helen and her husband George in 1966. Surviving are one sister-Ilene of Phoenix, AZ. One niece-Karon Getz of Hazel Park, MI. They were married for 59 years until Dr. Janecek s death, June 2, 1998. Mother of William of Arlington, VA, John (June) of Fairfax Station, VA, Susan Berlinghof (Ted) of Detroit, MI, Sally of Waterford, Tom (Natalie Sudman) of Tallahassee, FL, and the late Mary Lou. Grandmother of Mike (Lori), Jill (Eyal), Peter, Tim and Betsy. Great Grandmother of Ashley and Carissa. Sister of the late Msgr. Eugene Paddock, three sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law. She will also be remembered by many nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends. Edna completed elementary and high school at Holy Redeemer in Detroit and then completed 4 years at Marygrove College. Edna also enjoyed many activities and memberships including, St. Joseph Hospital Aux, St. Joseph s Guild at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Icon Dei with Guest House, Elks Niblicks. Enjoyed traveling in their motorhome for over 20 years, knitting, needlepoint, crossword puzzles, bowling, golfing. She was also an avid reader and excellent card player. Edna will lie in state at St. Perpetua Catholic Church, Monday, March 26, 2001, 10 a.m., until the time of her Funeral Mass at 10:30, Rev. Richard S. Rakoczy officiating. Rite of Committal Holy Sepulchre cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at Donelson, Johns and Evans Funeral Home, Rosary Sunday 8:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to Society for the Propagation of the Faith and Mercy Cranbrook Hospice
