JESKE, WALTER S., Age 70. Died at home on April 17, 1998 due to congestive heart failure. He was born of June 1, 1927 in Detroit, MI. He and his late wife Rosemarie J. Schulte were married on September 7, 1949 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Roseville. Wally and Rosie enjoyed art, musical shows, and traveling with friends. He was also predeceased by a son, Steven; his parents, Sam and Theresa; Brother, Eddie; and sister, Margaret. Walter is survived by his children, Mariana (Robert) Kopacz, Darleen Shipway, Alan (Sandra), Kathleen, and Robert Jeske; and grandchildren, Bryan, Craig, Jill, Stacey, Stephanie, Danielle, and Dallas; and his sister Esther (Fred) Schoel. Walter served in Sea Bees During WWII and was a retired quality control engineer at GM. His boyhood enthusiasm for scouting continued as an adult. He was a Boy Scout leader for many years, serving as a chairman on various committees, merit badge counselor, and counsel executive board member. He earned many awards including scouting s highest award, the Silver Beaver. He also volunteered for the K of C and St. Thecla Catholic Church. Funeral Today 9:15 a.m. at the Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield (N. of 15 mile), Clinton Twp. to St. Paul of Tarsus Catholic Church for a 10 a.m. Mass. Burial Resurrection cemetery. OMAN, FLORENCE IRENE Of Lincoln, Michigan. Age 78. April 17, 1998. Loving wife of Virgil. Loving mother of Vicki Meldrum of White Lake, Michigan. Loving grandmother of Denise Scherbing of Waterford, Michigan, Katherine Meldrum of Denver, Colorado and James Meldrum of Union Lake, Michigan. Three great grandchildren Maxwell Scherbing, baby Meldrum due in May and baby Scherbing due in December. Three sisters Anne Elliott of Brooklyn, Michigan, Myrna Downing of Tecumseh, Michigan and Kathy Rothfuss of Ann Arbor, Michigan. Preceded in death by Guy Beevers, Robert Beevers and Laurie Beevers. A Memorial service will be conducted at the Memorial Funeral Home in North Fort Myers, Florida on Sunday April 19 from 3-5 p.m. Viewing at the Jarzembowski Funeral Home 18957 W. Warren Ave. (corner of Artesian) will be Wednesday April 22 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday April 23 at 11 o clock a.m. at funeral home. Interment Glen Eden cemetery.

ORINGER, ETHEL MICHELMAN passed away at Providence Hospital in Southfield on April 19, 1998. She was an educator who taught at the Crary School in Detroit for 25 years. She also had student teachers from various Universities in Michigan and received a plaque from Michigan State University for her work with these future teachers. She belonged to Temple Kol Ami, Bnai Brith, Womens Parkwood Chapter of ORT, and University Women. Mrs. Oringer was the beloved wife of he late Henry Oringer and the loving sister of the late Carlyle Michelman and Blanche Snyder. She is survived by her son and daughter in law Dr. Richard and Adrienne; 2 grandchildren, Leigh (Laura) and Melissa; 3 great grandchildren, Samantha, Jessica, and Jacob; and her brother, Dr. Herbert (Edna) Michelman; besides many nieces and nephews. Graveside service 2:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon at ADAT SHALOM MEMORIAL PARK cemetery Contributions may be directed to the charity of your choice.
