CARPENTER, RALPH B., 96. Former owner of Carpenter Pharmacy in Royal Oak. Died April 4, 2000 in Bradenton, Florida. He was born in Flint, Michigan. After retiring to Florida he met his wife, Alma Lester. They have been married 28 years. Other survivors include four daughters, Carol Lee Hanson of Venice, Florida, Doris Lappin of Berkley, Michigan, Barbara Martin of Berkley, Michigan and Nancy Miller of Oak Park, Michigan; three sons Ralph L. Carpenter of Warren, Michigan, William B. Carpenter of Madison Hts., Michigan and Dennis J. Carpenter of Englewood, Florida. He also had 22 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren; stepsons John Lester and Reid Lester, both of Millgrove, Ontario Canada; sister-in-law Vera Ivey of Millgrove, Ontario Canada.
