HURST, GARLAND M., Age 86 of Traverse City, formerly of Farmington Hills. Died May 18, 2000 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. He was a retired operating engineer. He is survived by a son, John R. Hurst of White Lake and his fiancee Linda; two daughters, Margaret (Thomas) Quinn of Traverse City and Rita (Daniel) Donnelly of Lawrence; eight grandchildren; and two great-grand- children. Garland was preceded in death by his wife, Valenta M. Hurst on Feb. 11, 1994; and brothers, Robert and Raymond Hurst. Visitation Monday 6-8 p.m. at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 305 6th St., Traverse City, where a Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at St. Francis Catholic Church with Rev. INGERSOLL, VIRGINIA, of Millington, formerly of the Clinton Twp. area passed away Friday, May 19, 2000 at Covenant Health Care-Cooper in Saginaw. She was 82. Virginia was born on August 15, 1917 in Detroit and was the daughter of Ciro Guido and Mary Calomeni. Virginia had lived in Millington the past 3 years, moving from the Clinton Twp. area. She was married to Arlette E. Ingersoll. He preceded her in death in 1991. Virginia had been employed as a secretary for the Clinton Twp. Senior Citizens Program. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Millington. Virginia leaves to cherish her memory her family: three children and their spouses, Diane and Mike Scarborough of Millington, Rev. Gary and Fran Ingersoll of Florida, Roger Ingersoll of Sterling Heights, eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, sisters: Florence, Cicilia, Marriane, brother, Gene. She was also preceded in death by brother Danny and sisters, Evilynn and Mildred.
