THARP, CAROL L., Age 63, of South Lyon, passed away May 16, 2001. She was born on April 25, 1938 in Menlo, Iowa to Allison and Mable (Hadley) Shelley. She has been a resident of the South Lyon area for 15 years, formerly residing in Northville. She was an employee of A&P-Farmer Jack for several years, and she enjoyed needlework and traveling. She also dearly loved her grandchildren. She is survived by her dear children: Suzanne (Patrick) Sullivan of South Lyon, and Randall (Janna) Tharp of Illinois. She is also survived by two brothers, five sisters and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, and two sisters. Visitation on Monday from 1-9 at Phillips Funeral Home, 122 W. She was the devoted and loving mother of Elaine (Charles) Sherwood and Larry (Mary) Radzville, close and proud grandmother of Cheryl Cooper, Theresa Kondel, Steve Radzville, Charles Sherwood, Michelle Van Schoick, Kathy Schriber and Kirt Radzville, also great grandmother to 15. Loving and close friend to her sister, Lillian Austin. She will be missed by all and will be remembered forever for her continued devoted, loving, caring, and encouraging ways and the concern and interest she had for all her family members.
