THARP, CAROL L., Age 63, of South Lyon, passed away May 16, 2001. She was born on April 25, 1938 in Menlo, Iowa to Allison and Mable (Hadley) Shelley. She has been a resident of the South Lyon area for 15 years, formerly residing in Northville. She was an employee of A&P-Farmer Jack for several years, and she enjoyed needlework and traveling. She also dearly loved her grandchildren. She is survived by her dear children: Suzanne (Patrick) Sullivan of South Lyon, and Randall (Janna) Tharp of Illinois. She is also survived by two brothers, five sisters and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, and two sisters. Visitation on Monday from 1-9 at Phillips Funeral Home, 122 W.
