BLISS "BARETTA", DONALD JACK Age 56. Died suddenly on Monday, April 3, 2000. This colorful Cass Corridor resident was a retired railroad engineer who loved to recount stories of his many and various adventures. Born September 10, 1943, "Baretta" was a veteran of the U.S. Army, an avid motorcycle enthusiast, and a man who loved music of all kinds. INNES, GILBERT T., Age 86. April 4, 2000. Beloved husband of Catherine. Loving father of John, William, Barbara Norland, and Mary Bohner. Dear grandfather of John, Michael, Kristen, Julie, Mary, Erik, Michael, Elizabeth and Steven. Dear great-grandfather of Anna. Mr. Innes was born in Toronto, Canada, April 24, 1913. His parents had recently emigrated from Aberdeenshire, Scotland. His childhood was spent on a farm near Port Perry, On. The death of his mother and the loss of the farm at the beginning of the Depression Years brought Mr. Innes to Detroit at age 16 to live with his sister, May. He graduated from Cooley High School in Detroit and worked at numerous jobs from driving a coal truck to working on the lake boats. On October 5, 1940, he married Catherine Mary Ellis. In 1947 he left his job at Darin & Armstrong to begin his own steel fabrication construction business with his close friend, Frank DePodesta and his brothers. Their first plant, Paragon Construction Company, was located on 8 Mile in Southfield. Paragon s growth necessitated their move to a newly constructed plant located on Grand River in Novi where they became Paragon Bridge & Steel Company. Some of their projects included bridges and steel construction at Buick City, Flint and the steel bridges on the John C. Lodge Freeway. Paragon patented and constructed the "piggy back" auto carriers for the railroads. Mr. Innes retired in 1971 and devoted himself to his family and traveled with his wife, Catherine. Services will be private. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Salvation Army, 16130 Northland Dr. Southfield, MI 48075.

ISKRA, JOHN J., Age 83, April 6, 2000. Beloved husband of Eleanore for 62 years. Dearest father of Barbara (Larry) Kalnick, Deacon Joseph (Judy) and Donald (Miriam). Loving grandfather of ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Sonja Ryciak, Irene Mapes, Maximilian Iskra and the late Edward and Albert. Mr. Iskra enjoyed his time as an avid gardener, golfer and fisherman. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Parish for 60 years and assisted seniors with their income tax preparation for 20 years. A toolmaker by trade for 45 years, he was very active in the Toolmaker s Union. He was always one to give generously of his time and talents. Mr. Iskra will lie in state Monday 9:30 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul Church til time of Mass 10 a.m. Interment St. Hedwig cemetery. Visitation will be at the Jarzembowski Funeral Home, 18957 W. Warren at Artesian, Saturday 2-9 p.m., Sunday 1-9 p.m. Rosary Sunday 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers family requests donations to Multiple Sclerosis Society and Focus Hope.

LIEBOLD, MARTHA, of Fort Myers, Fl., formerly of Dearborn, died April 5, 2000 in Fort Myers. Born in Memphis, TN on April 11, 1925. Martha is survived by her husband of 53 years, William H. Liebold I; four sons, William H. II, Allan R., Karl B. and Scott E. Liebold. Daughters-in-law Camilla, Janet, Debbie and Kris. Martha was a devout Lutheran who participated in church activities all her life, and while a Dearborn resident she was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
