CAMILLERI, EDWARD L. passed away May 12 in Tucson, Arizona at the age of 65. He was born on March 27, 1937 in Lincoln Park, MI. survived by his wife Lillian, children Thomas Racklyeft (Patricia), Kathryn Traylor (William), Laurel Iacobellis (Rocco), Michael Racklyeft (Marchel), Lori Lindquist (Donald), Patricia Wallace (Gary), Edward Camilleri (Theresa), 19 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his father Emmanuel, mother Nora and brother Pat. He was one of nine children. Ed retired from Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan in 1987 after 33 years as General Superintendent of maintenance at the Rouge Steel plant. In retirement, he enjoyed RV traveling, visiting his family around the country and square dancing. Ed was very active in the Santa Catalina Mission Catholic Church in Catalina, AZ. being a member of the finance and building committee responsible for the construction of the new church and was a Eucharistic Minister. He was treasurer of the local St. Vincent DePaul Society. Funeral services were held in Tucson. DEGGES, JOHN F., Age 79, formerly of Grosse Pointe Woods, passed away in Columbia, MD on May 2, 2002. He enjoyed a long career as a sales manager at NY Central/Conrail rail companies in Washington DC and Detroit. He retired in the mid-80s to pursue his passions: travel, art & gardening. He is survived by his wife, (Marge), six children, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. As a distinguished Navy veteran, he will be interred at Arlington National cemetery following a memorial service on May 31.

HAYES, DONALD HERBERT age 83, son of Dorothy Pope and Herbert Hayes, died on May 8, 2002 at his home in Homosassa Springs, Florida. An Eagle Scout, a graduate of Wayne state University with a BA and an MA, he lettered in cross-country and track. He was an executive with Automotive Pattern, PG-ASSCO, Century Rainaid and a partner in Clarkston Cafe Inc. and Mainstreet Enterprises of Clarkston. He was an avid tennis player and golfer who contributed to his community as President of the Royal Oak Beverly Hills Improvement Association where he lived for 14 years and Building Inspector of Lake Angelus where he lived for 28 years. He was married to his first wife, Gloria Allan Hayes for 40 years until her death in 1982 and to his second wife Susan Hoy Hayes for 14 years. He is survived by his wife Susan, his daughters Lee McNew of Lake Angelus, Lynda Stumpf of Clarkston, step-daughter Geria Cavalieri of Commerce, five grandchildren and three step grandchildren. KRUSE, RICHARD (RICARDO) Age 69, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2002 at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. Richard was a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Airforce, who served in the Korean War from June of 1950 until 1954. Later, Richard worked for more than 30 years in carpet sales for Thomas C. Watkins and New York Carpet World. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and an avid UT Rocket Fan. Ricardo loved going to the movie theater-he was his familys own Siskal and Ebert. Left to cherish his memory are his mother: Elsie Stevens; Children: Kevin (Jamee), of Cincinnati, Maria, of Farmington, MI, Greg, Mark, Kent, of Dallas, TX, and Cynthia (Tom) Wanamaker; grandchildren: Jack, Molly, MacKenzie, Nick, Keri, and Mickey; and sister: Joyce (Don) Lutman. He was preceded in death by his father Leo Kruse. LAFAVE, PAUL EDWARD, Of Hampstead, NC died Thursday, May 16, 2002 at his residence. He was born July 1, 1940 in Detroit, MI son of the late Joseph Charles and Hannah May McGuire LaFave. Mr. LaFave was retired from Thorn Apple Valley Meat Company where he was a salesman.
