COUGHLIN, MARY M., June 30, 1908 - May 27, 1999. Mrs. Coughlin died in Port Charlotte, FL. She was born in Detroit to Martha and William C. McCarthy. She was a retired school teacher and a principal in the Detroit Public Schools. An award winning artist, she was also a published poet and a member of the National Library of Congress. She was predeceased by her husband, George Coughlin and brothers, Joseph, William, Matthew "Thomas", and Edward McCarthy and Stepbrother, Earl McCarthy. Mrs. Coughlin is survived by a sister in law, Helen "Kay" (Edward) McCarthy and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
