COUGHLIN, MARY M., June 30, 1908 - May 27, 1999. Mrs. Coughlin died in Port Charlotte, FL. She was born in Detroit to Martha and William C. McCarthy. She was a retired school teacher and a principal in the Detroit Public Schools. An award winning artist, she was also a published poet and a member of the National Library of Congress. She was predeceased by her husband, George Coughlin and brothers, Joseph, William, Matthew "Thomas", and Edward McCarthy and Stepbrother, Earl McCarthy.
