BRAUTIGAM, DALE PETER of North Muskegon, MI. Mr. Dale P. Brautigam, 71, died peacefully in his sleep, at his home, on Saturday morning, December 4, 1999. During his dynamic career, Mr. Brautigam held top management positions in the metal casting & manufacturing industries. He recently retired from LubeCom Systems Inc. of White Cloud, MI where he served as Vice President of Manufacturing & Engineering. Born in Jackson, MI on June 17, 1928 to Charles Otto & Frances (Klee) Brautigam, he toured Asia in the Navy & received the WWII Victory Medal in 1948, then earned his AB Degree from Albion College in 1952, then in 1953 his BS in Industrial Engineering from Washington University. In 1957 he married Virginia A. O'Toole & then went on to get his MBA in 1965 from the University of New Mexico. As a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Michigan, Mr. Brautigam has earned many top industry awards & citations: including the American Foundry Society's highest honor, the 1997 Wm. H McFadden Gold Medal, as well as their 1994 award of Scientific merit, & the American Institute of Plant Engineering 1972 International Plant Engineer of the Year award. SURVIVORS He is survived by his wife Virginia A. O'Toole, 1 son Philip C. Brautigam of Seattle, WA. 2 daughters, Nora E. (Kenneth P. Gessner) Brautigam of Dayton, OH. & Christine A. CRANE, LOUIS ARTHUR, Troy, MI Attorney, Arbitrator, Veteran of WWII, father, friend. Born, Cleveland, Ohio on April 15, 1922, died November 30, 1999. He served as Captain in the US Army 1943-1946, received his BBA at the Univ. of Michigan and Chairman of the Labor Relations Law Section 1960-1961. Appointed by President Lyndon Johnson to serve on the Presidential Emergency Board in 1964; member of the National Academy of Arbitrators 1955-1999; member of the University Club of Detroit and Hidden Valley.
