CHESNUTT, CHARLES, Ann Arbor, MI. Age 84, died Tuesday, January 23, 2001 at his home. He was born October 30, 1916 in Tullahoma, TN, the son of Rodham and Alice (Williams) Chesnutt and on December 29, 1943 he married Jean Ozanne, who preceded him in death on May 20, 1997. Mr. Chesnutt retired in 1974 from NBD Bank, where he served as a Vice President at their headquarters building in Detroit. Charles was a grand gentleman who served his country as a Navy warrant officer during W.W.II and in his professional life was a member of the Plum Hollow Golf Club of Detroit, and very active with the Detroit Chamber of Commerce. His loving relatives include his niece, Betty (Clyde) Juntunen of Ann Arbor, his nephew, John (Margory) Davis of Higgins Lake, MI, and many great-nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made in his honor to Hospice of Washtenaw, 806 Airport Blvd., Ann Arbor, MI 48108. Cremation has taken place, and a graveside service for the burial of cremains will take place at 11:30 a.m. February 8, 2001 at White Chapel cemetery, Chapel of Psalms, Troy, MI. Arrangements by NIE FUNERAL HOME, 2400 Carpenter Rd.
