COLLIER-RICHTER, PAMELA (ZAHN) age 57, of Athens, Ohio & W. Bloomfield, MI died February 5, 1999, at Hospice of Farmington Hills, MI. Daughter of the late Rev. Leon Zahn, Director of the Lutheran Welfare Society of Northwest Ohio, and Doris Nigh Zahn, she was born June 29, 1941 in Baltimore, Maryland. She retired from the Ohio University Office of Admissions and was a renouned childbirth educator in Athens, who introduced the Lamaze method of childbirth to the community. She was the founder & coordinator of the Lamaze Program at Sheltering Arms & O'Bleness Memorial Hospitals. Mrs. Collier-Richter was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Athens, American Society for Psychoprophylaxis in Obstretrics, ASPO Certified Lamaze Childbirth Education, former member of Columbus Allbreed Training Club and associate member of Therapy Dogs International. Mrs. Collier-Richter is survived by her husband, the Rev. Charles W. Richter, former Director of Pastoral Services at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, MI. Daughter Trista Collier of Dallas, TX. Her brother Geoff Zahn, Head Baseball Coach at the University of Michigan and his wife Peggi of Dexter, MI. Niece, Mattiana Zahn of Dexter, MI. de ST. NICOLAS, LEON L. January 23 in Palm Desert, Calif. Age 93. Born in Montebourg, France, served with the French Infantry in North Africa before comming to the US in 1929 and starting an importing and hairdressing business in Birmingham. He was a member of the Detroit French Club, active in the Birmingham Rotary Club and was honored by the Daughters of the American Revolution for his volunteer work at St. Josephs Hospital in Pontiac, Readings for the Blind, and the Braille Institute. He lived for many years in Berkley and in Bloomfield Hills before retiring to Palm Desert where he did volunteer work at the Eisenhower Medical Center. Prececeased by his brothers Alfred and Louis and his siter Mary-Louise Lambert, he is survived by his wife Paula, of Palm Desert, his son John of San Francisco and several nephews and nieces in this country and in France. Services private with burial at sea. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Braille Institute, 70251 Ramon Rd., Rancho Mirage, CA 92270.

GIBSON, JOHN M., 82, of Stuart, FL., died Tuesday, February 2nd. at Martin Memorial Medical Center, Stuart.
