HART, JAMES "WARREN", Retired Local Filmmaker. Suddenly on March 11, 2002. He was born in New Brighton, Pennsylvania but spent most of his life in Michigan. Many people have come to know and love him through the years and remember him fondly. He was preceded in death by his first wife Marguerite Lewis. Warren began his film career in the 1930 s at Wilding Picture Productions in Chicago. He worked as a director for industrial motion pictures and slide films. After serving in the Marines photographic department during WWII he returned to film making in Chicago. During the 1950 s Warren moved to Detroit and continued working for Wilding until he took a post with Regan Productions in the 1960 s. In the 70 s he returned to Wilding which was later bought by Maritz Inc. From then until his retirement in the late 80 s Warren worked as an on-site production and location manager. The majority of his work took him to Southern California where his knowledge of the best film locations and his friendship with local government officials made in an invaluable resource to the many film crews he worked with. His unofficial title among his co-workers at that time was "Honorary Mayor of San Diego County". He will always be remembered as somewhat of an ICON to those he worked with. After his retirement in the early 90 s he turned to his second love-Apple Computers and the local computer club, The Michigan Apple. Where he was the editor of the club s newsletter the AppleGram. Also, was a volunteer employee of AOL helping where he could in their libraries. He and his wife Terry shared a home in Rochester, Michigan. He is survived by his wife Terry (Wilcox) and daughters Marguerite Sowers and Susan Miller, and three grandchildren. No services will be held. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Warren s favorite The Michigan Apple Computer Club, P.O. Box 1555, Troy, MI. 48099.
