SKINDZIER, MARTHA ANN (nee VAUTER) Age of 52 of Rochester Hills, MI. passed away on March 31st, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Martha was born June 6, 1949, in Flint, Michigan. She graduated from Flint Southwestern High School, and from Western Michigan University with a home economics degree. Martha had a life long love of teaching, in many different capacities. She is survived by her son Matthew, brother and sister-in-law Bill and Dianne Vauter, and niece and nephew Stacy and Brian. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law Mari and Terry Marsh and nieces Katie and Jennifer. WHITE, GERALD D., Age 87, of Grand Haven passed away Saturday evening at his home. He was born October 25, 1914 in Ottawa, Canada; and married Margaret Harrington July 31, 1937 in Detroit, she preceded him in death December 26, 1993. Mr. White moved to the area 12 years ago from Detroit where he retired after 50 years as a surgical salesman. He is survived by his daughter Kathy Michaud-Sheehy and husband Roger Sheehy of Grand Haven; granddaughter Kelly (Tim) Simpson of Grand Haven and her father Paul Michaud of Sterling Heights, MI., two step granddaughters, four step great grandsons and two brothers; Bernard (Helen) White of Dearborn Heights and James (Donna) White of Fairway, Kansas. He was preceded in death by two brothers Tom and Jack. A Funeral Mass for Mr. White will be held Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick s Catholic Church with Rev. William Langlois as celebrant. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Grand Haven Chapel of VanZantwick, Bartels & Kammeraad, with a Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Interment will be at Lake Forest cemetery.
