TREEFUL, JOHN E., 79, of Prudenville, MI, died Friday, April 6, 2001, at the Spectrum Health-Betterworth Campus Hospital in Grand Rapids. Son of the late Emmanuel Treeful & the former Alice Vanasse. He served in the CCC before entering the US Navy during World War II. While in the service he became the East Coast Boxing Champion & also the Boxing Champion of the USS WASP. Survivors include: 2 Sons: Michael John (Nancy) Treeful of Tucson, AZ, Tom Paul (Diane) Treeful of Rochester, MI; 2 Daughters: Carol J. (Larry) Stock of Rapid River, MI, Linda Marie (Bob) Skarjune of St. Paul, MN; 1 Brother: Paul Treeful of Norwood, MA; 2 Half-Brothers: Richard Manchester of Swansea, MA, Clarence Manchester of Westport, MA; 1 Half-Sister: Helen Manchester of Westport, MA.
