KOWALCZYK, JEAN STEPHANIE Age 88 of Lake, MI died on Monday March 5, 2001 at the Mid Michigan Medical Center of Clare, MI. Jean was born on June 24, 1912 in Fairpoint, OH the daughter of Michael and Stephanie (Barcicki) Franjac. She was united in marriage to Roman Kowalczyk in 1932. Jean was a manager for the Federal Department store until her retirement in 1973 after 23 years of service. She also belonged to the Senior Citizens group of Madison Heights, MI. Jean is survived by her daughter Dorothy and husband Gerald of Lake, MI. One sister Helen Szyszkkowski of Florida. Three grandchildren; Kenneth and Karen Panski, Gregg and Colleen Panski and Gerilyn and Jim Jones. Six great-grandchildren; Mandy, Greg, Jeremy, Jessica, Brandon and Ryan and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Roman, brothers Dr. Marion Franjac, Fred Franjac and Ray Franjac, sisters Wanda Dziegeleski and Irene Sassin. Visitation for Jean will be held on Thursday from 5 AM - 9 PM and Friday from 10 AM - 9 PM at the Coker Funeral Home, of Farwell, Michigan with funeral services being held on Saturday at 11 AM from the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Evart, MI with Father Joe Fix officiating with burial in the Mount Olivet cemetery in Detroit, Michigan. Memorials may be given in Jean's name to the American Cancer Society. The Croker Funeral Home, of Farwell, Michigan, handled arrangements.

RIGGSBEE, MARY BETH C. peacefully passed March 4, 2001. Beloved wife of Peyton and loving mother of Brandon and Brooke. She is survived by her father Richard H. Wiggins, mother Dolores Healy, brother Richard Jr. (Kim), grandparents George and Lillian Killen, mother-in-law Wanda, brother-in-law Randy, one niece and three nephews. Mary Beth was a mentor for and worked with emotionally impaired children for more than 15 years since graduating from Western Michigan University, most recently with Southfield Public Schools.
