EIZONAS, ALFRED (DOC) Oct. 19th of Heart Failure at the young age of 74. After WWII Mr. Eizonas was medically discharged from the Navy and employed by the defense department thru 1981. He was a Tech Engineer with Quality Assurance Program at ATTAC in Warren. His world-wide and stateside experiences earned him a commendation from President Gerald Ford. The Presidential commendation was for introducing innovative methods of accuracy on government contracts and for establishing cost effective procedures. His dedication to the government services merited honors on several occasions. In 1984 Mr. Eizonas relocated to the Black River in Cheboygan, Michigan. The summers were spent on the river, the winters on snowbirding in the Florida panhandle or out west. A comfortable motor home pulled a 1952 Willys Overland Jeep - his pride and joy. In December of 1994 Alfred suffered a stroke-any further activities were limited. Mr. Eizonas is survived by his beloved Irene, his devoted daughters Mari-Lynn (Jack) Friday, Paula Anne and very dear grandchildren Rachel and Zachary Friday. Also surviving are Aunt Helen Moreau and Brother John (Mary), many loving cousins and a multitude of dear friends. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, November 14, 10 am at St. Veronica Church, Toepher (8 1/2 Mile) at Gratiot, Eastpointe. Donations to the Michigan Heart Association appreciated.
