CRAIN, ALLAN C., age 74, of Rotonda West, FL. formerly a resident of Livonia for 33 yrs. Died March 3, 1998 after a long illness. He was born in Detroit April 10, 1923 and retired in 1984 after 43 yrs. of service as a Production Engineer from Unisys (formerly Burroughs). He also was a World War II veteran. He is survived by his wife Joann, a daughter Diane Taylor of Northville and three sons Michael A. of W. Bloomfield, James D. of Plymouth and Steven D. of Waterford, and a sister Alice Forsyth of Tampa, FL., and five grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at the Elks Lodge, 41700 E. Ann Arbor Rd., Plymouth, Tuesday, March 17, 1998 at 11 a.m. with a luncheon following. Memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.

JONES, CHARLES T. (CHARLIE) of South Lyon, Mi. Jan. 17, 1954, March 9, 1998. Age 44. died suddenly in a snowmobile accident on East Twin Lake in Lewiston, Mi. his second home. Charles was born in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Marylynn A. Jones and Frederick R. Jones. He graduated from Cody High School in Detroit, Mi. in 1972. He later attended The Detroit Society of Arts and Crafts to study photography. Charlie was the service manager for Monroe Dodge, then Service Director for American Jeep Eagle, through the 70s and 80s. He began his own company in 1975 on the side, Jones Cartage. In 1979, he decided to strike out on his own and began an Automotive Parts Distributor company called Salem Automotive. Charles was united in marriage to Zenia C. Pudyk on August 30, 1975. The couple made their home in Dearborn Heights, Mi. They moved to Salem Township in 1979 where they have been ever since. In 1989, they bought their northern retreat in Lewiston, Mi. Charlie love it there. He went up most weekends to enjoy any seasons sport, whether it be snowmobiling in the winter or riding his personal watercraft in the summer. Charlie was a loving and caring person and will be missed by all whom he has touched. Charles is survived by his loving wife: Zenia, his daughter: Jennifer, his mother: Marylynn, and his brother: Glenn. He was preceded in death by his father Frederick and sister Marcia Bahorski. Friends may call at the Phillips Funeral Home (248) 437-1616 Monday 6-9 p.m., Tuesday 12 4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18.
