Helen Beckendorf, 85, of Redwood Falls, died Sunday, Dec. 12, 2004, at Franklin Health Care Center
Services are 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 15, at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church in Morton. Burial will be in Redwood Falls Cemetery, Redwood Falls.
Visitation will be 9:30-11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church In Morton.
Nelson Martin Funeral Service, Redwood Falls, is handling arrangements.
Survivors include a daughter LeAnn Hotovec of Minneapolis; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother; Rodney Rasmussen of Shakopee; and a sister; Ruby Jenson of Clearbrook.
She was born May 15, 1919, in Three Lakes Twp., Redwood County, to Vigo and Edna (Read) Rasmussen

Frieda A. Fischer, 88, formerly of New Ulm, died on Sunday, Dec. 12, 2004, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.
Service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye, with interment St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Sleepy Eye.
Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 7:30-9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye. There will be a parish prayer service at 5 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Frieda was born on August 29, 1916, in Stark Township, Brown County, Minn., the daughter of Jacob and Katie (Bruckbauer) Fischer. She grew up and attended District 45 country school in Stark Township. She worked at home with her father and later moved to New Ulm. Frieda worked at Goodrich and retired in 1994. She moved to St. John's Home in March of 2001. Frieda was currently a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye and had been a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm for the many years she lived in New Ulm. She enjoyed watching and feeding birds and was a member of a flower and garden club in New Ulm.
She is survived by her sister, Arline and husband Fred Dauer, Sr. of Springfield, sister-in-law, Viola Fischer of Sleepy Eye and ten nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Eleanor Fischer, brother, Elmer Fischer and niece, Gloria Fischer.

Kenneth Keil, 72, of Redwood Falls, died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004, at the VA Medical Center in Minneapolis.
Services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 15 at the Redwood Valley Funeral Home in Redwood Falls. Burial will be in the Redwood Falls Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Redwood Valley Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel, of Redwood Falls; daughters; Kristine Skorseth of Hendricks, and Kari Priebe of Waseca; two grandchildren; and a sister Ramona Potter of Redwood Falls.
Kenneth Lee Keil was born on July 13, 1932 in Lake Lillian, Minn. to Karl F. and Woneta (Keister) Keil. He served in the U.S. Army in the 1950s, and served 33 years the National Guard in Redwood Falls.

Ruth E. Krueger, 92, of Sleepy Eye, died Sunday, December 12, 2004 at the Sleepy Eye Care Center in Sleepy Eye.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 15, 2004 at the former Minnesota Valley Funeral Home located at 521 West Main Street in Sleepy Eye with the Reverend Timothy Grams officiating. Burial will be in the Home Cemetery in Sleepy Eye.
Visitation will be 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Minnesota Valley Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Ruth is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Janice Krueger of Tucson, Arizona, Donald Krueger of New Prague; four grandsons; one great grandchild; and by four nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leonard Krueger on August 25, 1992; daughter, Arlene Krueger; and by a brother, Edger Harmening.
Ruth Esther Harmening was born March 15, 1912 in Ixonia, Wisconsin to John and Myrtle (Glasso) Harmening. She married Leonard Krueger on October 20, 1936 at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye. After marriage they farmed in Prairieville Township, Brown County until moving to Sleepy Eye in 1978.
She was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye.
In lieu of flowers, the Krueger family prefers memorials to the St. John's Lutheran School, Minnesota Valley Lutheran High School, Martin Luther College and the Sleepy Eye Care Center.

Ronald Benson, 72, of 1305 S. Washington St., New Ulm, died Monday, Dec. 13, 2004, at Immanuel St. Joseph Hospital in Mankato.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 16, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in New Ulm with Rev. Todd Nelsen officiating. Burial will follow at the New Ulm City Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Schmucker Funeral Service in New Ulm and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Ronald Marlo Benson, the son of Conrad and Freda (Donner) Benson, was born Sept. 11, 1932 in Walnut Grove. After graduating from Lamberton High School in 1950, Ron entered the United States Army. Following his honorable discharge in 1953, he attended Nettleton Commercial College in Sioux Falls. He was united in marriage to Virginia Mowery July 25, 1955 in Tracy. The couple lived a short time in Springfield prior to moving to New Ulm in 1956. Ron worked at various jobs before beginning a career with Kraft Foods. He retired in 1989. Ron was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in New Ulm. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed woodworking, golf, playing cards and time spent with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia of New Ulm; sons, Brad Benson and his wife Virginia of Richfield, Brian Benson of Apple Valley, Jim Benson and his wife Tammie of Baxter, Jason Benson and his fiancée Sandy Hockert of Apple Valley; daughter, Lori Altmann and her companion Randy Faber of New Ulm; 15 grandchildren; sisters, Doris Lerohl of Sioux Falls, Carol Fridley and her husband Donnie of Wabasso; sisters-in-law, Lorraine Benson of Revere, Elvera Benson of Balaton, Marjorie Sebesta of Tracy; nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by two brothers Darold and Dennis Benson and one sister Marjorie Hansen.
Memorials are preferred to the donor's choice.

Frieda Brede, 84, of Stewart, died Monday, Dec. 13, 2004 at the Hutchinson Community Hospital.
Funeral service is 11 a.m., Friday Dec. 17, at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Fernando, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m., Thursday at Hughes Funeral Home in Stewart and continues Friday one hour prior to the service at the church.
She is survived by her husband Arnold Brede of Stewart, brother Henry Becker Jr. of Glencoe; sisters Mable Gaulke of Minneapolis and Ruth Stresemann of Winthrop.
Frieda Louise Brede was born Dec. 6, 1920, in Sibley County, Minn., Henry Sr. and Dona (Proehl) Becker.

Arthur A. Green, 84, of Gaylord, died Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004 at the Sibley Medical Center in Arlington.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 17, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord. Burial will follow at the United Methodist Cemetery in rural Lafayette.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service time at the church.
Kolden Funeral Home of Arlington is handling the arrangements.
Arthur is survived by his children, Patricia Solmonson of Gaylord, Ronald Green of Gaylord, Robert Green of Waconia, Brenda Wollmann of Gaylord, and Kathy Ulrich of Gaylord; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren
Arthur A. Green was born on Sept. 11, 1920, in Smithland, Iowa, to Albert Arthur and Annie (Shanks) Green.
He served in the U.S. Navy from December 1943 until February 1946.

Anna Maria Hengel, 101, of Sleepy Eye, died on Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004, at Sleepy Eye Care Center in Sleepy Eye.
Service will be held at Divine Providence Community Home Chapel, Sleepy Eye on Thursday, Dec. 16, at 10a.m. The Clergy will be Fr. Brian Oestreich
Interment will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Sleepy Eye.
Visitation will be at Divine Providence Community Home Chapel on Thursday, Dec. 16, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye, MN.
Anna was born near Wanda, Minn., on April 22, 1903, the daughter of Christian and Mary (Ross) Schroeder. She grew up and attended District 94 country school. She moved with her family to Lastrup, Minn., near Little Falls and later returned to Wanda.
She married George Hengel on October 4, 1921, in Wanda. George was a World War I veteran. They made their home near Wanda and moved to Sleepy Eye in November of 1954. She was a homemaker most of her life, working at Del Monte for a few years. Anna moved to the Sleepy Eye Care Center in 1987. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. She enjoyed her family and grandchildren and was proud of her son, Christy Hengel who is a concertina manufacturer.
She is survived by her children, Christy Hengel of New Ulm, Agnes Grausam of Sleepy Eye, Isabelle Hoffman of Cypress CA, Raymond and wife Simone Hengel of Sleepy Eye, Mary and Sylvester Kotten of Sleepy Eye, 20 grandchildren, many great- grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren; and brother, John and Mae Schroeder of Sleepy Eye.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, George in 1983 and son, Jerome in 1961.

John 'Jack' W. Reichel l, 81, of Fairfax, died Monday, Dec. 13, 2004, at the New Ulm Medical Center.
Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 16, at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Fairfax. Burial will be in the church Cemetery in Cairo Township, Renville County, with full military rites by the Fairfax Honor Guard.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of services at the church on Thursday.
Arrangements are with the Hauser-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Fairfax.
He is survived by his wife, Dolores Reichel of Fairfax; daughters, Leslie Daugherty of Maple Grove, Kathy Squires of Winona; sons, Jeff Reichel of Stillwater, and John Reichel of Bayport, Wisc.; grandchildren and a brother, Charlie Reichel of Noblesville, Ind.
John William Reichel was born Nov. 19, 1923, in Covington, Ky., to Mathais and Marie (Kramling) Reichel.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from September 1942 until February 1946.

Erma F. Roeker, 89, of Janesville, died Monday, Dec. 13, 2004, at the Janesville Nursing Home.
Services are 10:30 a.m., Friday, Dec. 17, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Alma City. Burial will be in the Alma City Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m., Thursday, at Arnold-McRaith Funeral Home in Janesville and continues one hour before services Friday at the church.
She is survived by children, Gary Blaisdell of Walker, Twila Sickmann of Minnetonka, and Dan Blaisdell, of Backus; five stepchildren, Mildred Reukert of New Ulm, Ervin Roeker of Eagle Lake, Violet Brewer of Janesville, Duane Rocker of Waldorf, and Eunice Differding of Forest Lake; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 14 stepgrandchildren; 23 stepgreat-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-great-grandchildren.

Delores A. Revier, 80, Redwood Falls, died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004, at Redwood Area Hospital.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 17, at St. Catherine's Catholic Church, Redwood Falls with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, with a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. at Nelson-Martin Funeral Service, Redwood Falls.
Memorials are preferred to Redwood Falls Dialysis Unit.
She is survived by sons Gary and Ron, both of Redwood Falls; daughters Sandy Lofthus and Julie Chmelar, both of Redwood Falls; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Lorraine Greenslit, Miles City, Mont., and Lois Gerstmann, Redwood Falls; and brother, Leonard Berberich of New Ulm.
She was born April 20, 1924 in Clements to Charles and Theresa (Bilerl) Berberich.
