Martin Tabbert, 91, of Green Isle, died Friday, Dec.10, 2004, at the Elim Home in Watertown, Minn.
Funeral services are 2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 16, at Zion Lutheran Church, Green Isle Township. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday, one hour prior to service at Zion Lutheran Church. The Kolden Funeral Home of Arlington is handling the arrangements.
He was born June 30, 1913, in Green Isle Township, to Adolph and Tillie (Schauer) Tabbert.

Joel Bauer, 48, of Winthrop, passed away on Monday, Dec. 13, 2004, at his parent's home in Winthrop.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 18, at 11 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, in Winthrop. Interment will be in the Winthrop Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday from 4 - 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 - 11 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church in Winthrop.

Joel Charles Bauer was born May 28, 1956, in New Ulm. He was the son of Harry and Lucille (Borchert) Bauer, Jr. Joel graduated from Winthrop High School in 1974. Joel worked construction his entire life. He became self employed, starting Bauer Construction in Winthrop in the early 1990s.
He loved spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter. He also had a passion for hunting and fishing.
Joel was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ted and Emma Borchert and Harry and Esther Bauer, Sr.
Joel is survived by his children, Travis (Heather) Bauer of Winthrop, Tim (Sandy) Bauer of Omaha, NE and Myranda Bauer of Winthrop; granddaughter, Allison Jean Bauer of Winthrop; parents, Harry and Lucille Bauer, Jr. of Winthrop; siblings, James (Ruth) Bauer of Winthrop; Jennifer O'Connor of Winthrop; Jonathan (Laura) Bauer of Rosemount and Jacqueline (Corey) Huelskamp of Augusta, KS; nieces and nephews, Tricia and Katie Uecker, Stephanie and Megan Bauer, Nicholas, Justin and Joshua Huelskamp and Samuel and Jakob Bauer, and many friends.

Marvin H. Beranek, 78, of Wanda, died Dec. 14, 2004.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 18, at 10 a.m. at St. Mathias Catholic Church in Wanda.
Visitation will be Friday, Dec. 17 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the church and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Burial will be in the St. Mathias Catholic Cemetery.
Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield.
He is survived by his wife Patricia; sons David of Faribault, Michael of Wanda; daughters Joann of Wanda and Colleen Anderson of Foxboro, Wisc.; six grandsons; and brother Clem Beranek of Wanda; and sister Berniece Zwach of Tracy.
He was born Sept. 11, 1926, to Peter and Margaret (Schunk) Beranek near Wanda.

Marvin P. 'Marv' Reinhart
FAIRFAX -- Marvin P. "Marv" Reinhart, 78, of Fairfax, died Tuesday, December 14, 2004, at the New Ulm Medical Center in New Ulm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, Dec. 17, at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Fairfax with Father Ron Huberty officiating. Burial will be in the church Cemetery with full military honors being conducted by the Fairfax Honor Guard.
Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Andrew's Catholic Church.
Minnesota Valley Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Marv is survived by his wife, Kathleen Reinhart of Fairfax; daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Scott Rear of Carver; grandson, Brock Bermel at home; and a sister-in-law, Elaine Reinhart of Gibbon.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Francis Bushard; son, John Reinhart in 1986; a sister, Evelyn Kockelman; and a brother, Donald Reinhart.
Marvin Peter Reinhart was born on February 18, 1926, in New Ulm to Peter and Emma (Schaus) Reinhart. From 1954 to 1956 he served in the U.S. Army. On August 25, 1959, he married Kathleen Friedrich at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Parkston, South Dakota. After marriage they farmed in Ridgely Township, Nicollet County, until 1987. He worked part-time at the Farmer's Elevator in Fairfax and later worked part-time with Wendinger Building and Construction in Fairfax. They moved to Fairfax in 1992. Marvin enjoyed watching sports on TV, gardening and playing cards. He was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Fairfax, a past member of the parish council and Cemetery board. Marv was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Fairfax, a member of the St. Joseph/St. Mary Catholic Aid Association and the American Legion Post 205 in Fairfax. He served for 18 years as the Treasurer of the Ridgely Township Board in Nicollet County.

Ernie H. Schnobrich, 87, of Little Falls, formerly of the Cushing area, passed away Tuesday (Dec. 14) at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls.
Funeral services are Friday at 11 a.m. at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls with John Yourczek officiating. Burial will be in the Cushing Union Cemetery.
Friends may call Friday from 9 a.m. until the service at the Shelley Funeral Chapel.
Ernie was born July 18,1917 in New Ulm, to the late George and Emma 'Krueger' Schnobrich. He, his two brothers and four sisters, lived in New Ulm until 1923, at which time the family moved to Blakely, MN. Ernie was married to Evelyn Yancey in 1939 and they later divorced. While working at Downtown Chevrolet he met Marjorie 'Marge' Nieman. They were married on August 2,1951. Among Ernie's many talents was his musical ability. He never learned to read music but rather, learned by sound. Ernie also spoke fluent German. During WW 11, he was an interpreter of German POWs. Ernie enjoyed conversing in German when he had the chance, most notably on a trip to Germany in 1992.
Ernie H. Schnobrich is survived by his wife, Marge E. Schnobrich; sons, Wayne Schnobrich of Cushing, MN and Gary Schnobrich and wife, Debbie of Cushing, MN; daughters, Mary Anderly and husband, Jim of Le Sueur, MN; Lori Tongen and husband, Lee of Lakewood Ranch, FL and Karen Rechtzigel and husband, Jeff, of Miltona, MN; sisters, Helen Schmidt of New Ulm, MN; Sally Hoffman of Mankato, MN and Amanda Gag of Springfield, MN; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Ernie was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and four sisters.

Kenneth Warner, 64, of Redwood falls, died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2004, at Redwood Area Hospital.
Services are 10:30 a.m., Monday, Dec. 20, at Middle Creek United Methodist Church in Flora Township, Renville County, with burial in Zion Cemetery in Flora Township.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m., Sunday at Nelson-Martin Funeral Service in Redwood Falls and continues on hour before the service Monday at the church.
He is survived by wife, Ramona of Redwood Falls; children, Teresa Schmidt of Hutchinson, Scott Warner of Redwood Falls; four grandchildren; brothers, Robert Warner of Pullman, WA, Art Warmer of Redwood Falls; sister, Ruth Freyholtz of Bejou.
He was born Nov. 10, 1940, in Redwood County, Minn., to Walter and Mabel (Marshall) Warner.

Alice Eleanor Christiensen, 92, of Sleepy Eye, died on Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2004, at Sleepy Eye Care Center
Service is at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church on Saturday, Dec. 18, at 1:30 p.m., with burial in Home Cemetery, Sleepy Eye.
Visitation will be at Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye, Friday, Dec. 17, from 6-8 p.m. and continues at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church on Saturday from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
She is survived by her daughters, Karen Ackerman of Atwater, Debbie Johnson of New Ulm; four granddaughters; seven great-grandchildren; and sisters, Esther Teschendorf of Moorhead, Rose Horton of Sleepy Eye, Florence "Fran" Haas of Rochelle, Ill.
She was born on June 27, 1912, in Sleepy Eye, to Henry and Johanna (Dumke) Volker.

Minnie Dietz, 104, of New Ulm, died Thursday, Dec, 16, 2004, at the Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 20, at the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm with burial in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in rural Nicollet. Pastor Thomas Henning will officiate.
Visitation will be 5 - 7 p.m., Sunday and 7:30 - 8:30 a.m., Monday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm.
Born Nov. 29,1900, in Nicollet Township Nicollet, Minnesota, to Ardy and Emma Stolt Johnson. She was baptized December 16, 1900, by Pastor Koehler in Trinity Lutheran Church in Nicollet, Minnesota and was confirmed April 14, 1914 in the Trinity Lutheran Church by Pastor Koehler. She attended country school in Nicollet Township and the consolidated school in Nicollet.
She married Irven Hopp August 28, 1924, in Trinity Church in Nicollet, Minnesota by Pastor Koehler. They farmed in Granby Township after marriage until April 1947 when they moved to Nicollet. They were custodians of the Trinity Lutheran Church and School for 18 years.
Her husband died on March 9, 1973. Minnie continued to live in Nicollet. She moved to New Ulm after marrying Henry Dietz on June 9, 1976. Henry passed away on December 7, 1983. She moved to Sunset Apartments in June 1985 and to Oak Hills Living Center in March 1998.
She is survived by nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, six brothers, and two stepsons. She is also survived by two stepdaughters-in-law and two stepgrandchildren.

Lester Kirschbaum, 87, of Glencoe, formerly New Auburn, died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2004, at the Glencoe Regional Health Services Long Term Care in Glencoe, Minn.
Funeral Service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in New Auburn, with burial in High Island Cemetery in New Auburn.
Visitation will be two hours preceding services at the church.
Arrangements by the Hantge Funeral Chapel of Brownton.

Frank G. Marz, 82, of Springfield, died Thursday, Dec. 16, 2004, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.
Service is 10:30 a.m., Monday, Dec. 20, at St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springfield, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 19 and 7:30-10 a.m. on Monday at the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield.
He is survived by his children, Rosemary Schmidt of Wabasha, Judith Sellner of St. James,
Joan Richert of Springfield, and John Marz of Springfield; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Marie and husband Lowell Johnson of Springfield; brothers Leonard and wife Gail Marz of Springfield and Lennis Marz of Mankato.
Frank G. Marz, Jr. was born Jan. 26, 1922, in Springfield, Minn., to Frank G. and Anna (Ubl) Marz.

Barbara Meidl, 83, of 1114 N. Payne St. in New Ulm, died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2004, at the Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity with Bishop John Neinstedt presiding. Burial will be in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday and 7:30-9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. The Christian Mothers Society will pray the rosary Friday at 4 p.m. at the Cathedral, and there will be a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Barbara is survived by her husband of fifty-nine years, Stanley W. Meidl of New Ulm; daughters and sons-in-law, Rosemary and Bill Johnson of St. Peter, Karen and Randy Beers of Slayton, and Marianne Meidl and her fiancé, David Cifrese of St. Cloud; sons and daughters-in-law, Philip Meidl and Ruth Ann Webster of New Ulm, Rev. Gerald S. Meidl of Marshall, and Thomas and Diane Meidl of Prior Lake; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandson; a brother and sister-in-law, Conrad P. and Lois Steinel of Emporia, Kansas; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Betty and Marvin Grams of New Ulm.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her step-mother, Bernice (Bone) Steinel.
Barbara Marie Steinel was born in Jerome, Arizona on July 31, 1921, to Philemon and Marie (Schmidt) Steinel. She later moved with her family to Phoenix, Arizona where she graduated from high school and continued with college until taking a civilian job with the U.S. Army. She later enlisted as a WAVE in the U.S. Navy. After WWII she married Stanley W. Meidl on November 9, 1945 on Coronodo Island in San Diego, California. The couple then moved to New Ulm.
Barbara worked in the family business, Meidl Music Store, with her husband Stan until retiring in 1986. She enjoyed sewing, crossword puzzles, camping, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a Girl Scout and Boy Scout leader, and a member of the Christian Mothers' Society and the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to The Cathedral Capital Campaign or the donor's choice.

Gary Lynn Gode, 55, of Sanborn, died on Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004 at Sunset Hospice in Worthington.
Services are 10: 30 a.m. Monday at Red Rock United Methodist Church in rural Jeffers, with burial in the Red Rock Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the Sturm Funeral Home in Lamberton, and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday at Red Rock United Methodist Church in rural Jeffers.
He was born on Oct. 8, 1949, in Springfield, to Arnold and Mabel (Nickel) Gode. He served in the Army National Guard from 1968 to 1975.
He is survived by his wife, Jean of Sanborn; daughter, Janath of Sioux Falls, S.D.; sisters, Sharon Beyer of Sanborn and Joan Giese of Jeffers; and brother, Steve of Sanborn.
