Marcia Pautsch, 58, of Arlington, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004 at Sibley Medical Center.
Services are 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 8, 2004 at Zion's Lutheran Church, Arlington. Burial will be in Arlington Public Cemetery.
Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Kolden Funeral Home, Arlington.
She is survived by her husband, Bob of Arlington; children Chuck and Becky Schlueter, both of Arlington and Dave of Glencoe; eight grandchildren; a brother, Harlan Peterson Jr. of Fairmont.
She was born Sept. 13, 1946 to Harlan and Margaret (Peterson) Peterson in Gaylord.

Obert P. Sather, age 98, of Franklin, Minnesota passed away Thursday, November 4, 2004, at the Fairfax Community Home in Fairfax, Minnesota.
Funeral Services will be held 1:30 p.m. Monday, November 8, 2004, at Central Lutheran Church in Camp Township, Renville County Minnesota, with interment in Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Bandon Township, Renville County, Minnesota. The visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at church.
Obert Pascal Sather was born on April 7, 1906, in Minot, North Dakota. He was the son of Gilbert and Aagot (Thunes) Sather. Obert was baptized as an infant, on April 22, 1906, in Minot, North Dakota and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth, on May 16, 1920, at Zion Lutheran Church in Bandon Township, Minnesota. He received his education in Franklin, Minnesota and attended Franklin High School.
On December 22, 1930, Obert was united in marriage to Esther Benson at the parsonage of Reverend Thomas Hanson near Franklin, Minnesota. This marriage was blessed with 6 children. Obert and Esther resided in the Franklin, Minnesota area. They shared 73 years of marriage.
Obert was a member of Central Lutheran Church in Camp Township, Renville County, Minnesota. Obert spent his life farming in the Franklin, Minnesota area. He also spent time fishing, custom combining, doing miscellaneous handy work around the church, woodworking, and traveling around the United States as well as taking a trip to Norway in 1970. Obert handmade 8 Grandmother Clocks and gave one to each of his children. Most recently, Obert loved to spend his time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Obert passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2004, at the Fairfax Community Home in Fairfax, Minnesota, at the age of 98 years.
Blessed be his memory.
Obert is survived by his wife, Esther of Franklin; children, Doris Heinemann of Danube, Ellsworth Sather and his wife, Patricia of Franklin, David Sather and his wife, Sylvia of Franklin, Janet Massen and her husband, John of St. Louis Park, Ruth Sorenson and her husband, John of Hickory, N.C. and Sylvia Anderson of Minnetonka; 16 Grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; nieces, Charolette Ryan of Richfield, Joan Lambrecht and her husband, Harold of Inver Grove Heights, and other relatives and friends.
Obert is preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Aagot Sather; sister, Margaret Kelly; a granddaughter, Janice Heinemann; and sons-in-law, Grant Heinemann and Luther Anderson.

David J. Franta, 47, of North Mankato and formerly of New Ulm died Friday, November 5, 2004 at Immanuel St. Joseph Hospital in Mankato.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 8, 2004 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with burial in the St. Gregory Catholic Cemetery rural Lafayette. Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Sunday and will continue from 7:30 until 10 a.m. on Monday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm.
David is survived by his parents, Jerome and Colette Franta of New Ulm; sisters, Jeanette Wilson and her husband, Dennis of New Ulm, Barbara Franta and her husband, Dennis Nelson of Tonka Bay, Rose Wieland and her husband, Ron, and Julia Oscarson and her husband, Jerry all of New Ulm; a brother, Rodney Franta and his wife, Jennifer of Cottage Grove, and by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
David John Franta, the son of Jerome and Colette (Vait) Franta, was born on September 7, 1957 in New Ulm. The first five years of his life he lived in New Ulm before moving to Faribault, St. Peter and in 1989 moving to live at the Sexton Home South in North Mankato. David was baptized and confirmed at the St. Gregory Catholic Church in Lafayette. He was currently employed at MRCI in Mankato.

Agnes Schnobrich, 96, of Sleepy Eye died Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004 at the Divine Providence Community Home in Sleepy Eye.
Mass of Christian burial will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye, with burial in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Sleepy Eye.
Visitation is 10 a.m. until noon Wednesday at the Divine Providence Community Home Chapel in Sleepy Eye. Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm is handling the arrangements.

Sophia Muchow, 107, of Winthrop, died Thursday. Nov. 4, 2004, at Winthrop Good Samaritan Center in Winthrop.
Funeral services are 10 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 9, at St. John's Lutheran Church in rural Gaylord with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m., Monday; continues 7:30 a.m. to 8 a.m. on Tuesday at the Egesdal Funeral Home in Gaylord and one hour before the church service.
She was born Dec. 29, 1896, in Transit Township, Sibley County, to Frederic and Emilie (Lorenz) Zaranott.

Margaret Ross, 54, of St. Peter and formerly of New Ulm, died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004, at the Central Health Care Center in LeCenter.
Funeral arrangements are pending with Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm.

Delmar Huhn, 85, of New Ulm, died Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, at the Sleepy Eye Care Center in Sleepy Eye.
Funeral arrangements are pending with Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm.

Henry J. Martius, 84,of Revere, died on Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004, at the V. A. Medical Center in Minneapolis.
Visitation will be at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Lamberton, on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. and will continue on Thursday from 10-11 a.m. at the church.
Service will be held at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Lamberton, on Thursday, Nov. 11, at 11a.m. Burial will be at the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Springfield.
He is survived by his children, Constance Lambert of Big Lake, Jerry Martius of Sanborn, Dennis Martius of Spearfish, S.D., Thomas Martius of Luverne, and Richard Martius of Walnut Grove; 21 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Marie and husband Donnie Neeb of Lake Havasu City.
Henry J. Martius was born Jan. 1, 1920, in Sanborn.

Margaret (Muehlbauer) Ross, 54, formerly of New Ulm, died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004, at the Central Health Care Center in Le Center.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 11, at Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with burial in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, and 7:30-10:30 a.m., Thursday, at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. There will be a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Margaret is survived by her very special friend, Bill Rasmussen of Kasota; mother, Magdalen "Maggie" Muehlbauer of New Ulm; sisters and brothers-in-law, Barb and Dale Scheiber of Albany, Karen and Ron Sandhurst of Fairmont; brothers and sisters-in-law, Myron and Karyl Muehlbauer of Chaska, Chuck and Roxanne Muehlbauer of St. Cloud; and by ten nieces and nephews;
She was preceded in death by her father Delmar "Boots" Muehlbauer on December 29, 2002.
Margaret Ann Muehlbauer was born July 13, 1950, in New Ulm, to Delmar and Magdalen (Hanslick) Muehlbauer. She graduated from Cathedral High School in 1968, St. Cloud School of Nursing in 1971, and then from the Metropolitan State University with her degree in computer communications. She worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Cloud Hospital, Immanuel-St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato, Unity Hospital in Fridley, and Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids. She specialized in critical care and emergency room medicine. She also taught paramedic and emergency medical technician students. She was an accomplished musician and love playing, arranging and listening to old time music.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial to New Ulm Area Catholic Schools or donor's choice.

Agnes (Peichel) Schnobrich, 96, of Sleepy Eye, died Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004 at the Divine Providence Community Home in Sleepy Eye.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 10, at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye with Father Brian Oestreich celebrating. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Sleepy Eye.
Visitation is 10 a.m. until noon Wednesday at the Divine Providence Community Home Chapel in Sleepy Eye.
Minnesota Valley Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Agnes was survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Sal DeLeon of Frederick, Maryland, Margie and Nick Vamvakis of Duram, Connecticut, and Mary and Bob Windt of Charlotte, North Carolina; sons and daughters-in-law, Gerard and Marlo Schnobrich of Hudson, Wisconsin, Dan and Gerri Schnobrich of Broad Brook, Connecticut, and Paul Schnobrich of Sleepy Eye; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; brothers and sister-in-law, Albert Peichel of Fairfax and Lerry and Jane Peichel of Sleepy Eye.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edmund Schnobrich on Dec. 30, 1977; sisters, Elsie Palmer, Christine Peichel, Molly Jackson, and Gertrude Peichel; brothers, John Peichel, William Peichel, Otto Peichel, Harry Peichel, Father Benedict Peichel.
Agnes was born on April 1, 1908, in Fairfax to John and Anna (Wurmstein) Peichel. On September 26, 1938, she married Edmund Schnobrich at the St. George Catholic Church in St. George. She was a library assistant at St. Mary's School and the Dykman Library both in Sleepy Eye. Agnes was also a teacher for many years. She was a 4-H club leader. She was a member of the Christian Mothers Society, the St. Margaret's Society, the St. Agnes Bible Study Club, and St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye.

Emil Schroepfer, 86,of Sleepy Eye, died on Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004, at Sleepy Eye Care Center.
Service is 10 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 10, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. The Clergy will be Fr. Brian Oestreich. Interment will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Sleepy Eye.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m., Tuesday; and 7:30-9 a.m., Wednesday, at Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye. There will be a Catholic Aid rosary at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Emil Frank Schroepfer was born on June 23, 1918, in Sleepy Eye the son of George P. & Minnie (Schroepfer) Schroepfer. He grew up and attended country school near Sleepy Eye and later attended St. Mary's Catholic School in Sleepy Eye. After he completed his schooling, Emil farmed near Sleepy Eye. He married Esther Gulden on Sept. 18, 1944, at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm. The couple made their home south of Sleepy Eye where they lived and farmed until retiring and moving to Sleepy Eye in 1987. Emil was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church where he ushered for many years. He was also a member of the Catholic Aid Association. Emil enjoyed "Old Time" music and playing cards with his friends.
Survivors include his wife, Esther Schroepfer of Sleepy Eye; daughters, Sharon (Roger) Kral of Sleepy Eye, Marjorie (Richard) Zins of Tempe, AZ; son, Kenneth Schroepfer of Sleepy Eye; four grandchildren, Amy Helvig, Lisa Schnieder, Jamie Zins and Ricky Zins; sister, Minnie Flock of Morgan and sister-in-law, Maureen Schroepfer of St. Paul.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mary Eckstein, Margaret Kaimz, Adelinde Hoffmann, Veronica Hillesheim, Viola Ludewig and Delores Schroepfer; brothers,Ervin and George Schroepfer.

Iona Zihlke, 90, died Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.
Funeral Services are Friday, Nov. 12, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Springfield with burial at North Star E.U.B. Cemetery.
Visitation is Thursday, Nov. 11, from 4-8 p.m. and Friday, Nov. 12 from 7:30-8:30 a.m. at Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield, and continues for one hour prior to services at the church on Friday. Pastor Carl Seamon will officiate. Condolences may be sent via e-mail to www.sturmfh.com.

Iona Katherine Zihlke was born June 12, 1914, in Honnor Township, Redwood County, the daughter of Henry and Mary (Lipp) Simondet. She was a graduate of Redwood Falls High School and Mankato Teachers College. Iona taught school in District 86 and District 89 in Redwood County before her marriage to William (Bill) Zihlke on September 12, 1936. They farmed in North Star and Brookville Townships before moving to Springfield in 1966. After leaving the farm Iona was employed at St. John Lutheran Home and the Springfield Hospital until her retirement. She also was a cook for the first "Meals on Wheels" program in Springfield and a charter member of the Springfield Hospital Auxiliary. Iona was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, taught Sunday School and Bible School, and was a Bible Leader for Leah Circle.
She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, cooking, baking, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include son, Richard and wife Lois Zihlke of Springfield; daughter, Kathy and husband Dave Niemann of Springfield; grandchildren, Daniel and wife Ramona Zihlke of LeCenter, Shari and husband Todd Wentzel of Murdock, Chad and wife Christy Niemann of Rochester, Kari and husband Randy Hoffarth of Stewartville, and Jami Niemann of Mankato; seven great grandchildren, Brandon and Amanda Zihlke, Mallory, Megan, Emily and Laura Wentzel, and Alicia Niemann; sisters, Pauline Henke of Hutchinson and Ura and husband Ted Kissner of Lamberton; brother-in-law- Reinhold and wife Alice Zihlke of Springfield; and sister-in-law- Irene Zihlke of Apache Junction, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bill in 1997; children, David, and Muriel and Billy in infancy; and brother-in-law- Ralph Henke.

Ellen G. Bode, 80, formerly of Courtland, died Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, at the Grandview Good Samaritan Center in St. Peter.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Friday, Nov. 12, at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm with burial in the Current Cemetery in Home Township, Brown County.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday and from 7:30- 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. There will be a parish prayer service at 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Ellen is survived by her son and daughters-in-law, Jim and Diane Reinhart of St. Peter, Treacy Meyer of Courtland; stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Lyle Wills of Nicollet, Jean and Ron Thill of Courtland, Duane Poehler of Cleveland; seventeen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Ferdie Reinhart; second husband, Clifford Bode; son, Mark Reinhart; great-grandson, Michael Flowers; stepdaughter, Pat Poehler; sisters, Elizabeth Studtmann, Carol Huhn, Rhoda Kohls; brother, Everette Rogers; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
Ellen Gertrude Brust was born on Oct. 22, 1924, in New Ulm to George and Viola (Current) Brust. On Oct. 21, 1943, she married Ferdinand Reinhart at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Searles. After his death she married Clifford Bode on Aug. 27, 1963, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She was a farm wife to both husbands. Ellen enjoyed playing cards, gardening, baking, quilting and spending time with her family. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm.
