Charles A. Ziesmer, 86, of Arlington, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004, at Glencoe Regional Health Services.
Funeral service is 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 12, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Green Isle, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m., Friday, at Kolden Funeral Home in Arlington; and one hour before the service at the church.
He is survived by wife Alice of Arlington; sons, Gordon Ziesmer of New Prague, Marvin Ziesmer of Arlington; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Elva Flelischer of Glencoe and Loraine Mueller of Arlington.
He was born Oct. 15, 1918, in Isle, Minn., to Karl and Martha (Schauser) Ziesmer.

Genevieve A. Blackstad, 81, of 831 6th Street SW, died Tuesday, November 9, 2004 at Muse Norris Hospice in-patient unit, Mason City with her daughter at her side.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13 at St. James United Methodist Church, 225 Armstrong Boulevard South, St. James Minn., with Rev. Amy Jo Bur, officiating. Burial will be in Albion Lutheran Cemetery, Godahl, Minn.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Pease Funeral Home, 54 6th Ave South, St. James Minn.
Memorials may be directed to the Genevieve A. Blackstad Memorial Fund.
Genevieve Alma Blackstad was born Nov. 10, 1922, at Star Prairie, Wis., a daughter of Albin and Jeanette (Boucher) Moe.
Genevieve attended country school near Cumberland, Wis. The second oldest of 12 children, she completed the eighth grade, and then stayed at home to help her mother with her siblings. In her early twenties, Genevieve moved to St. Paul, Minn. She worked at White Castle Hamburgers for several years.
On Feb. 2, 1960, she married Jerome Blackstad at St. Paul. In 1967 they moved to the Julian and Jeanette Blackstad farm near Godahl to help with the family fertilizer business. Genevieve also worked at 3M Company, New Ulm, retiring in 1982. Following her retirement, Genevieve did home care work in Mountain Lake.
She moved to Mason City in 1996 to be near her daughter. Genevieve was an extremely thoughtful, kind and giving person. She had a great love of nature, which showed, through her beautiful flower gardens and her love of animals.
Genevieve was very active throughout her life. She enjoyed making crafts and quilting. She was especially proud of her Norwegian and Swedish heritage. In 2002 she was reunited with her son after 46 years, and welcomed him and his family into her life.
She is survived by a daughter, Lynn Stoesz and her fiancé, Bill Sabel, Mason City; a son, Tom Florentine, Chicago, Ill.; three grandchildren, Joey, Michelle, and Julie Florentine, Hammond Ind.; three brothers, Roy (Reta) Moe, Frederick, Wis.; Leo Moe, Cumberland, Wis.; Stanley (Kathy) Moe, Cumberland, Wis.; and a brother-in-law, Harvey (Karan) Blackstad, Montevideo, Minn.; and her beloved cat, Tuffy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jerome Blackstad; five sisters, Alice, Bernice, Glendetta, Audrey and Shirley; three brothers, Lawrence, Robert and John; in-laws, Julian and Jeanette Blackstad.

Melvin E. Weber, 90, of Inver Grove Heights and formerly of Sanborn, died Nov. 10, 2004.
Services are 5:30 p.m., Friday, at Concordia Lutheran Church, in St. Paul.
Visitation is one hour before the service at the church.
Burial is 2:30 p.m., Saturday, at Sanborn City Cemetery.
He is survived by wife Velma; children, Darrell Weber, Lois Benson, Larry Weber; sister Noreen Weedman; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was born May 8, 1914, to Otto and Amelia (Kosel) Weber in Sanborn.

Mildred Elizabeth Wandersee, 78, of Edina, passed away November 9, 2004.
Funeral service will be held Monday, Nov. 15 at 2 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to service at Werness Brothers, 3500 W. 50th St., Mpls. Private interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by husband, Arno and 3 brothers.
She is survived by daughter, Pat Reinhart; grandson, Chad Reinhart; sisters, Ollie Mae Robinson and Olean Harrison; and brother, Melburn Ott.
Her love of nature, dogs, gardening, God and family were ever present throughout her life. She was grateful for each day.

Mitchell Henningson, 20, of Ortonville, formerly of Winthrop, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004 at the Ortonville Hospital in Ortonville.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Winthrop, with burial at 1 p.m. Monday in the Eidskog Lutheran Cemetery in Ortonville.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today at the church in Winthrop. Larson Funeral Home in Ortonville is in charge of the arrangements.
He is survived by his parents, Milton and Linda Henningson of Winthrop; brothers, Michael Henningson and Mark Henningson, and sisters, Melissa Bowman and Marci Henningson.

Agnes Kunz, 91, of Madelia, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004 at Madelia Community Hospital.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 15, 2004 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Madelia, with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Pilgrim Funeral Home, Madelia with a prayer service at 4 p.m., and 9 to 10:15 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Ervin Hoffman, 82, of Wabasso, died Thursday at North Memorial Hospital in Robinsdale.
Services will be Monday 10:30 a.m. at St. Johns' Evangelical Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls, with burial in Bethany Lutheran Cemetery in Wabasso.
Visitation will be Sunday 4-8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the Redwood Valley Funeral Home in Redwood Falls. Visitation will continue on Monday at the church one hour prior to services.

Mitchell Henningson, 20, of Ortonville, formerly of Winthrop, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004 at Ortonville Hospital after a car accident.
Services are 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 14, 2004 at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Winthrop. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Eidskog Lutheran Cemetery, Ortonville.
He is survived by his parents, Milton and Linda of Winthrop; two brothers, Michael and Mark of Winthrop; two sisters, Melissa Boman of Annandale and Marci of Winthrop; and a grandfather, Leonard Stanley of Ortonville.
He was born Jan. 27, 1984 to Milton and Linda (Stanley) Henningson at Arlington.

L.K. 'Pete' Iverson, 72, of Redwood Falls, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2004 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Redwood Falls with burial in Redwood Falls Cemetery.
Visitation is 5 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Nelson-Martin Funeral Service, Redwood Falls and Wednesday at the church, one hour prior to the service.
He is survived by his wife Peggy of Redwood Falls; children Beth of Redwood Falls; and Paul of Buffalo; seven grandchildren; a sister, Bernice Ness of Fertile; a brother, Rueben of Maple Bay.
He was born Dec. 28, 1931 in Maple Bay to Bennie and Clara (Skanson) Iverson. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

Evelyn Meyers, 90, of Franklin, died Friday, Nov. 12, 2004 at Springfield Medical Center.
Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2004 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Franklin with burial in St. Patrick's Birch Cooley Cemetery, rural Franklin.
Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Nelson-Martin Funeral Home, Redwood Falls with a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. and Tuesday at the church, one hour prior to the service.
She is survived by children Sandra of Osakis and Bill of Payson, Ariz.; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren; a sister, Isabel Revier of Franklin.
She was born Oct. 18, 1914 to William G. and Mathilda (Diekmeir) Revier in Sherman Township, Redwood County.

Sister Margaret Mary Theissen, 91, died Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, at Wilmette, Ill.
She was born Nov. 20, 1912, to Mathilda and Hubert Theissen in New Ulm.
She is survived by siblings, Marie and husband Paul Dauer, New Ulm; Agnes Heitzig of Apple Valley, Calif., Ben Theissen of Sun City Center, Fla., Hubert and Army Theissen of Rapid City, S.D., and Frank and Lois Theissen of Jupiter, Fla.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Herbert, Elmer, Erwin and Alex.

Anna C. Leininger Drill, 89, of Mankato formerly of Courtland and Minnesota Lake, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2004 at Mankato House Health Center in Mankato.
Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, North Mankato, with burial in St. John Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Minnesota Lake.
Visitation is on Tuesday, 9:00-10:30 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Donald 'Donnie' Saffert, 65, of Springfield, died Friday, Nov. 12, 2004 at his daughter's home in Sanborn.
Mass of Christian burial will be Monday, Nov. 15 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springfield with burial at St. Raphael's Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday, Nov. 14 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and Monday, Nov. 15 from 7:30-10:00 a.m. at Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield. There will be a Parish Prayer Service Sunday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Donald 'Donnie' Francis Saffert was born Nov. 11, 1939 in Springfield, to George and Edith (Kastner) Saffert.
Survivors include daughters, Shelli Wilson of Cottage Grove, Lana Domeier of Springfield, and Connie Prechel of Sanborn; son- Curt of Springfield; six grandchildren; sisters, Loretta Wenisch of Springfield, Marie Lang of Springfield, and Adeline Roiger of Fairfax; and brothers, Gilbert of Long Prairie, and Dennis of New Ulm.

Cherie Bramley (Mrs. James), 61, of 911 Cottonwood, New Ulm, died Saturday, November 13, 2004, at her home.,
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 16, at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with Father Brian Oestreich and Father George Schmit celebrating the mass. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Earlville, Iowa.
Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Monday and will continue from 7:30 until 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. There will be a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Cherie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and is survived by her husband, Jim Bramley, of New Ulm; daughters and sons-in-law, Kim and Jeff Fehlhafer of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Geni and Dwight DeBoer of Lafayette, Pam and David Webster of Warsaw, Poland; a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Heidi Bramley of Burnsville; eighteen grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sandra and Jim Boddicker of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Charlotte and Tom Rohden of Crystal Lake, Illinois; a brother and sister-in-law, Clark and Joanne Brecht of Aromis, California, and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill and Lorie Bramley of Earlville, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Oramel Brecht.
Cherie Anne Brecht, the daughter of Victor and Oramel (Fulbright) Brecht was born on May 3, 1943 in Waterloo, Iowa. She graduated from the Earlville High School in Earlville, Iowa, class of 1960. On December 26, 1958 Cherie was united in marriage to Jim Bramley at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Earlville, Iowa. Cherie worked as an aide and a Librarian in Altoona, Iowa and Winthrop school districts. For sixteen years she was the Director of Religious Education, six of those years in Winthrop and the last ten years at the Cathedral in New Ulm. Cherie was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity and the Council of Catholic Women at the Cathedral. She was a member of the New Ulm Country Club.
