LeRoy D. Grosklags, 73, of St. James, died on Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004, at St. James Health Services Hospital in St. James.
Services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church on Thursday, Dec. 2, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Donald Crissinger-Clark officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in St. James.
Visitation will be at the First Presbyterian Church in St. James on Thursday, Dec. 2, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m..
Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in St. James. Email condolences may be sent to the family at www.sturmfh.com.
LeRoy D. Grosklags was born Aug. 13, 1931, in Fairfax to Rudolph and Esther (Domke) Grosklags. He attended school in Fairfax graduating from Fairfax High School. In 1952 LeRoy enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in which he served until 1956. Following his honorable discharge he went to work as a Farm Machinery Salesman. LeRoy owned L & L Sales in Mountain Lake from 1968 to 1984. In 1985 he went to work for Cunningham Implement (now Tri-County Implement) until his retirement in 2002.
LeRoy was united in marriage to Lorie Michalko on April 2, 1960, in Black Duck. LeRoy was a member of the St. James American Legion and enjoyed golf, traveling, jigsaw puzzles, playing cards, and yard work.
LeRoy is survived by his wife, Lorie Grosklags of St. James; three children, son, Todd Grosklags of Fridley, daughter, Terri Thomas and husband Bruce of Rochester, and son, Troy Grosklags and wife Dana of Grimes, Iowa; five grandchildren, Brittany, Louis, Nicholas, Spencer, and Austin; one sister, Carol Lauwagie and husband Stanley of Gibbon, and one brother, Richard Grosklags and wife Darla of Prior Lake.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Arlen R. Holmen, Associate in Ministry, age 70, of Crosslake, Minn., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004.
Arlen was born July 5, 1934 in Laurens, Iowa. to David and Martha (Klasson) Holmen.
His family moved to Comfrey, when Arlen was six years old. He graduated from Comfrey High School and later received a degree in vocal music from Mankato State University. He married Myrne Current on Nov. 26, 1955 in Comfrey. Arlen served in youth ministry at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Austin, MN, Calvary Lutheran Church in Alexandria, Minn., and St. Mark's Lutheran Church of Mount Prospect, Ill. He was Executive Director of Green Wing Bible Camp, Amboy, Ill. and Riverside Lutheran Bible Camp, Story City, Iowa. After his retirement, he served as a supply pastor for many area churches. He was a servant of Christ who loved working with children and youth and was a devoted and much loved husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Myrne; children: Sherri, Julie, Mark (Maria), granddaughter, Malyn; brothers: Dennis of Nisswa, Minn. and Donald of Park Rapids, Minn.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials may be sent to First Lutheran Church, Pine River, and the Inner City Youth Ministry at Calvary Lutheran Church in Golden Valley
A celebration of Arlen's life will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2004 at First Lutheran Church in Pine River, with Pastor John Twiton officiating. A time of fellowship will follow the service, Arrangements are with Kline Funeral Home of Pine River.

Bonnie Kienlen, 60, of North Mankato died Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004 at the Immanuel-St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2004 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in North Mankato.
Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm and will continue for one hour prior to the time of service at the church on Wednesday.

Elsie C. Palmer, 110, of of Sleepy Eye, formerly of Fairfax, died on Monday, Nov. 29, 2004, at the Divine Providence Community Home.
Funeral arrangements are pending with the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye.

Frances Ann Schumacher, 95, of Sleepy Eye, died on Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004, at Sleepy Eye Medical Center.
Service will be held at Church of the Japanese Martyrs, Leavenworth on Wednesday, Dec. 1, at 11a.m. Interment will be in Japanese Martyrs Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Visitation will continue at the Church of the Japanese Martyrs on Wednesday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. There will be a Holy Family rosary at 4 p.m. and a parish prayer service at 7 p.m., both Tuesday at the funeral home.

Frances was born on April 6, 1909, in Racine, Wis., the daughter of John & Anna (Nehrn) Poss. She married Benjamin M. Schumacher on May 21, 1929, in Ashton, Iowa. They lived and farmed for 36 years on the home place. They moved to Countryside Apartments in 1993. Frances was a member of Church of the Japanese Martyrs and was active in many church related activities, receiving several awards for her involvement. In her younger years she also enjoyed helping entertain at Divine Providence. Playing games with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was a great joy for her, as was entertaining visitors to her home. Other interests and talents included sewing, gardening, painting and writing.
Survivors include daughter, Doris Johnson of Roseville, son, Clifford and Bernette of Sleepy Eye; daughter-in-law, Lenora Schumacher of Sleepy Eye; son, Sylvan and Donna Schumacher of Sleepy Eye; son, Gene and Margaurite of Emily; daughter-in-law, Carol Schumacher of Sleepy Eye; son, Bernard and Kathy of Warba; daughter, Susan and Jeff Pelzel of Sleepy Eye; 32 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; and sister, Rose Windschitl of Leavenworth.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ben; sons, Robert, Marvin, Jack; son-in-law, Robert Johnson; two grandsons, four brothers and two sisters.

Mildred Huschke, 100, died Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2004, at the Northfield Hospital.
Mass of Christian burial is 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 2, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Morgan. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation starts at 9:30 a.m., Saturday at the church.
Redwood Valley Funeral Home of Redwood Falls is handling arrangements.

Wallace W. Langhorst was called home to God on Sept 30, 2004. He died quietly at home surrounded by his family.
Wally was born Sept 23, 1929, to Martin and Alwina (Voges) Langhorst in New Ulm, Mn. He attended Immanuel Lutheran Church in Courtland, Mn., where he was baptized, confirmed and on April 29th, 1950, married Delores Hulke. They farmed in Courtland until 1956 when they moved to Prior Lake, Mn. to operate the L & L Hardware store. After many years in business they sold the store, and he went to work for Knox Lumber in Burnsville, Mn. After retiring from Knox he enjoyed spending more time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Prior Lake, having served as a Sunday School Teacher, Treasurer, and a member of the Cemetery Board. He was a past member of the Prior Lake Lions Club, Prior Lake Fire Dept., Prior Lake School Board, and the Prior Lake Business Club. He enjoyed his polka music and played drums and sang for Florian Blumberg's Jolly Musicians and later for the New Whoopee John Band.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Dolores; daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia (Wayne) Bergren of Prior Lake, Mn., Judy (David) Van Wattingen of Plymouth, Wis., Cynthia Menk (Kevin Vicmark) of Le Sueur, Mn., Sandra (Michael) Bruns of Pleasant Hill, Mo.; son and daughter-in-law, Randy (Jodi) Langhorst of Prior Lake, Mn.; sisters Elvira Hulke of Elgin, Ill., Ardella Austad of Lakeville, Mn., and sister-in-law Verone Langhorst of Gaylord, Mn. He was blessed with 15 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Wally was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Marlin and Elmer Langhorst and sister Loretta Ginkel, and brothers-in law George Ginkel, Kris Austad, and Irvin Hulke.

Sergio Pina, two-month old son of Sergio Pina and Dora Gonzalez of Fairfax, died Friday, Oct. 1, 2004 at the Sleepy Eye Medical Center.
Services are 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 3, 2004 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sleepy Eye with burial in the parish cemetery.
Arrangements are with Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye.

Wallace S. Helget, 65, of Morgan, died Friday, Oct. 1, 2004, at Gil-Mor Manor in Morgan.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 4, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Morgan, with burial in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today at St. Michael's Catholic Church with a parish rosary at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Arrangements are with Nelson-Martin Funeral Service in Morgan.
He is survived by wife, Ethel Helget of Morgan; children, Jeff of Hoffman, Brian of Crystal, Wally of Wind Lake, Wis., Keith of Morgan, Joe of Morgan, Jenny Brandt of Balaton; five grandchildren; a brother, Lester Helget of Sleepy Eye, and a sister, Phyllis Sellner of Kasota.
He was born June 30, 1939, in Sleepy Eye to Wendlin and Veronica (Fisher) Helget.

Richard Frank, 55, formerly of Redwood Falls, died Saturday, Oct. 2, 2004, at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
Services are 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 6, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bechyn with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m., Tuesday, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at Redwood Valley Funeral Home in Redwood Falls and continues one hour before the service Wednesday at the church.

Lendale W. 'Len' Berg, 88, of Prior Lake and formerly of Redwood Falls, died Monday, Oct. 4, 2004, at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.
Services are 2 p.m., Friday, Oct. 8, at Nelson-Martin Funeral Service in Redwood Falls, with burial in Crestlawn Gardens.
Visitation is 1-2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
He is survived by wife Alleen Berg of Prior Lake; children, Beverly Otto of Bloomington, Lee Berg of Bolingbrook, Ill.; three grandchildren; and sister, Alice Campbell of Redwood Falls.
He was born April 9, 1916, in Wabasso, to Leander and Emma (Weldon) Berg.

Everett Stolte, 95, of New Ulm, died Tuesday, September 28, 2004 at the Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Friday, October 8, at the United Church of Christ in New Ulm with Rev. Henry Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in the New Ulm City Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church. A Masonic Service conducted by Charity Lodge #98 A.F. & A.M. will follow the service at the church.
Schmucker Funeral Service of New Ulm is handling the arrangements.
Everett Lynn Stolte, the son of Albert and Anna (Quist) Stolte was born January 20, 1909 in Elmore, Minnesota, later moving with his family to Blue Earth. After graduating from Blue Earth High School, he attended Macalester College in St. Paul. Everett was united in marriage to Alice Haase on July 23, 1930 in Forest Lake, IA. He was involved in the grain business his entire life. In 1953, the family moved to New Ulm when Everett purchased grain elevators in Essig and Klossner. In 1964, he built an elevator south of New Ulm. Retiring in 1968, he sold the three elevators to the Hanska Co-op. Everett enjoyed playing golf, bowling, baseball, and traveling. He was a member of the United Church of Christ and Charity Lodge #98 A.F. & A.M.
Survivors include his wife, Alice, of New Ulm; sons, Lorin Stolte, Mike Stolte and his wife Gladys, Bill Stolte and his wife Karen, all of New Ulm, Charles Stolte and his wife Betty of Santa Rosa, CA; twelve grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Michael John Stolte; great- grandson, Matthew Neisen; sisters, Vivian Weyer, Verna Colby; brothers-in-law, Everett Weyer, Floyd Colby, John Haase, Theron Harner; and sisters-in-law, Maysel Haase and Katherine Harner.

Ellsworth Wentzlaff, 76 of rural Gaylord, died Saturday, Oct. 2, 2004, at the Glencoe Regional Health Services in Glencoe.
Services are 10:30 a.m., Friday, Oct. 8, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord with interment in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m., Thursday, and 7:30-8 a.m., Friday, at the Egesdal Funeral Home in Gaylord. Visitation will continue one hour before the time of services at the church on Friday.
Ellsworth is survived by his wife, Lorraine Wentzlaff of rural Gaylord; children, Ann Tillman of Austin, Texas, Rose Wentzlaff of San Francisco, Calif., Sue Wentzlaff of Corning, N.Y., Ellsworth Wentzlaff Jr.of Soldotna, Ark., Louise Stefurak of Schreiber, Ontario, Canada, Warren Wentzlaff of Gaylord, and Sally Rademacher of Lester Prairie; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and sisters and brothers, Olga Wallert of Canby, Loretta Schaefer of Henderson, Lawrence Wentzlaff of Le Sueur, Adeline Boettcher of Henderson, and Darwin Wentzlaff of Amherstburg, Ontario, Canada
Ellsworth Orville Wentzlaff was born Aug. 22, 1928, in Arlington. He was the son of Fred and Ida (Brockoff) Wentzlaff.
