Oradel Kulberg Schulz, 71, of Renville, died on Sunday, Oct. 17, 2004.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 21, at the United Methodist Church in Hector with burial in the Church of Hope Cemetery in Osceola Township.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Hughes Funeral Home in Hector, and will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur Schulz of Renville; children: Dale Kulberg of Cosmos, Keith Kulberg of Olean, Mo., Lorri Kempton of Chandler, Ariz., Lyle Kulberg of Hector, and Beth Duyck of Queen Creek, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; Arthur's children and grandchildren and their families; a brother, Loren Paul of Holdingford; and sisters, Arlys Kulberg of Delano; Sharon Skroch of Bowlus, and LouAnn Walker of Burtrum.
Oradel Marlys Schulz was born on Oct. 26, 1932, in Preston Lake Township, Renville County, to Wilferd and Leona (Winterfeldt) Paul.

Kenneth 'Bucky' Lee, 76, of Springfield, died Monday, Oct. 18, 2004, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.
Funeral services are Friday, Oct. 22 at 10:30 a.m. at United Methodist Church in Springfield with burial at the Springfield City Cemetery.
Visitation is Thursday, Oct. 21 from 4 -8 p.m. and Friday, Oct. 22 from 7:30-8:30 a.m. at Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield, and continues for one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
Survivors include wife Rose of Springfield; daughter Barb Tomschin of Springfield; brother Clyde Lee of Perham; sisters, Louise Wollin of Waterloo, Iowa, and Lorraine Allen of Black River Falls, Wis.
He was born March 27, 1928, in Midway Township, Cottonwood County, to William and Fannie (Becker) Lee.

Rick L. Williams, 45, of rural New Ulm, died Sunday, Oct. 17, 2004, at the New Ulm Medical Center.
Funeral Service is 1 p.m., Friday, Oct. 22, at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. Burial will be in Jacksonville, Florida at a later date.
Visitation is 11 .am. until 1 p.m., at the funeral home.

Lawrence Lokensgard, 77, of Lafayette, died Wednesday, October 20, 2004, at his home.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 25, at First Lutheran Church in Lafayette with Rev. Garry Grunzke officiating. Burial with full military honors conducted by Lafayette American Legion Post 300 will follow in the church cemetery
Visitation will be 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Schmucker Funeral Service in New Ulm and one prior to service at the church.
Lawrence Carlton Lokensgard, the son of Lorence and Helen (Johnson) Lokensgard, was born July 21, 1927, in Nicollet County where he spent his youth on the family farm and attended District 43 school. After graduating from New Ulm High School in 1945, he entered the United States Army, serving in the Aleutian Islands prior to his honorable discharge in 1947. Lawrence married Ardis Heath January 28, 1951, at the Janesville Methodist Church. They made their home in Lafayette where he operated the Standard Oil Bulk Trucking business and farmed for six years. He also worked for the City of Lafayette in maintenance and as police officer. Lawrence began work with Kraft Foods in New Ulm in 1966 and joined Kraft Transport in 1971, working as an over the road truck driver, retiring in 1989. He was a lifetime member of First Lutheran Church of Lafayette; Lafayette American Legion Post 300; former member of the Lafayette Fire Dept.; and former Lafayette mayor. Lawrence played trombone with the Lafayette Band for many years. He enjoyed family, friends, and spending as much time as possible at the family lake home near Hackensack.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Ardis of Lafayette; daughters and sons-in-law, Charlotte and Harvey Youngs of St. Peter, Cathy and Jeff Peters of Litchfield; sons and daughters-in-law, Brent and Dixie Lokensgard of El Cajon, CA, Brad and Stacey Lokensgard of New Ulm, Bruce and Janet Lokensgard of Sleepy Eye; 9 grandchildren; 4 stepgrandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold and Dorothy Lokensgard of Rogersville, MO, Howard and Darlene Lokensgard of Lafayette; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Katie Peters.
Memorials are preferred to the Salvation Army or the donor's choice.

Gilbert 'Gil' L. Platz, 67, of Waskish, Minn., died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2004, at Waskish, Minn.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 22, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Kelliher, Minn.
The family will be available for visitation one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial of cremains will be at the St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Shooks, Minn.
Arrangements are assisted by Cease Family Funeral Home of Blackduck.
He is survived by his wife, Helen of Waskish; sons, Gerard Platz of Sauk Centre, and Steven Platz of Corcoran; four grandchildren; one stepgrandchild; and sister Marlys Platz of Springfield.
He was born on April 26, 1937, in Springfield, Minn., to Ervin J. and Dolores (Juenemann) Platz.

Ruby Steinhaus, 87, of Fairfax, died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2004, at the Fairfax Community Home in Fairfax, Minn.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m., Saturday at the Hauser-Hantge Chapel in Fairfax, with burial in St. Andrew's Catholic Cemetery in Cairo Township, Renville County.
Visitation is 9-10 a.m., Saturday at the Hauser-Hantge Chapel in Fairfax.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Steinhaus, of Roseville; on,, Curtis Steinhaus of Clear Lake., Calif.; and one grandchild.

Marcella Balko, age 88 of Redwood Falls, died Thursday, October 21, 2004 in Season's Hospice House in Redwood Falls.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A. M. Monday, October 25, 2004 in St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Redwood Falls.
Visitation will be held from 4 until 8:00 P.M. Sunday and continue Monday one hour prior to services in St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Redwood Falls. There will be a C.C.W. Rosary Sunday evening at 7:15 P.M. followed by a parish prayer service. The Sunset Funeral and Cremation Association of Echo is handling the arrangements.
Marcella L. Balko was born June 10, 1916 in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota to John R. and Ida Emily (Wagner) Madory.
She is survived by her two children; Sandy Jensen and Tom Balko Sr. of Redwood Falls, five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, three step great grandchildren, her sister Irene Discher of Mesa, Ariz.

Joseph Steinbeisser, 88, of rural Franklin, died on Oct. 21, 2004 at his home in rural Franklin.
Visitation is Monday, 5-8 p.m. with a prayer service are at 7:30 p.m. at Nelson-Martin Funeral Service in Redwood Falls.
Services are Tuesday, 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church in Morton, with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Morton.
Survivors include daughters JoAnn Neudecker of Morton, Janet Carbert of Franklin; a granddaughter; sisters Catherie Ostrander of Watertown, S.D., Sister M. Leone of Bethany Convent, St. Paul; Agnes Chmelar of Ada; brother John Steinbelsser of Olivia.
He was born Jan. 20, 1916 on the family farm in Birch Cooley Twp., Renville County to Joseph & Grace (Ruhland) Steinbelsser.

Lillian Hansch, age 86 of Winthrop passed away on Friday, October 22, 2004, at the Sibley Medical Center, in Arlington.
Services will be on Wednesday, October 27, 2004, at 10:30 A.M., at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord, with burial in the Winthrop Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 ­ 8:00 P.M., and will continue Wednesday from 7:30 ­ 8:00 A.M., at the Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Winthrop. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the time of services at the church on Wednesday.

Donley Hosna, 73, of Anoka, died on Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004, in Anoka.
Services are at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, at Zion Lutheran Church, 4th Ave. and Adams St., Anoka, with burial in Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements are with Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka, 763-421-0220.
He is survived by his wife, Hiroe; son, Dean (Patty); daughter, Kathleen (Kevin) Snell; grandchildren, Rebecca and Christine Hosna, Andrea (Matthew) Curtis and Nick Snell; and great-grandson, Tristan Sponsler.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Nora Hosna.
He was born on Feb. 23, 1931, in Adams, N.D., to John and Nora (Drevecky) Hosna. He married Hiroe Shibata. He was a music teacher in various school districts for 11 years and was employed by Trestman Music since 1980. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

Edna L. Benson, 92, formerly of 709 Water Street S.W. in Sleepy Eye, died Sunday, Oct. 24, 2004, at the St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 26, in the chapel at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield with burial in the Sanborn City Cemetery in Sanborn.
Visitation will be from 12:30 - 2 p.m. Tuesday at the St. John Lutheran Home.
Minnesota Valley Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Edna is survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Myrtle and Helmer Anderson of Barnesville, Lillian and Bill Halter of Springfield, Muriel and Ingard Knutson of Barnesville, Fern Manness of Sycamore, Illinois; a brother and sister-in-law, Lloyd and Ingrid Lindholm of Rothsay; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Oscar Yackel on Dec. 25, 1962; second husband, Melvin "Mel" Benson on Jan. 1, 1997; five sisters; and three brothers.
Edna Lorraine Lindholm was born on July 22, 1912, in rural Sanborn to Leander and Emma (Erickson) Lindholm. She worked at Del Monte, Pietrus, Sleepy Eye Hospital, and later owned and operated a small cafe in Sleepy Eye. Edna enjoyed gardening, painting pictures, bingo, music, dancing and fishing. She was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye.
Memorials are preferred to St. John Lutheran Home or donor's choice.

Maxine Ganske, 63, passed away at the family home in Dodge Center on Oct. 23, 2004, after a lengthy illness.
Funeral mass is 11 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 26, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. Father Brian Osetreich will be officiating.
Visitation is Monday, Oct. 25 from 4-8 p.m., and on Tuesday from7:30-10:30 a.m. at the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye. There will be a parish prayer service on Monday at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
A private burial will be held Wednesday, Oct. 27 in Sleepy Eye.
Maxine Paula Stafford was born Oct. 23, 1941, in Dodge County. She grew up on a farm west of Dodge Center. She graduated from Dodge Center High School in 1959. On June 12, 1959. she married Stanley Salisbury, living in Blooming Prairie and Owatonna. They were later divorced. They had two children, Steven and Lisa. Maxine worked for the Central Co-op in Owatonna and the Owatonna School District as Assistant Business Manager. She finished her career in the Wayzata School District where she retired in 1998.
On March 3, 2001, she married James Ganske of Sleepy Eye, Minn., They resided there until Jim's death in March of 2004.
Survivors include son, Steven (Leah) Salisbury of Badger, Iowa and daughter, Lisa Mitchell of Wylie, Texas and four stepchildren, Sherri Bahr, Jim Ganske Jr., Jerry Ganske, and Donn Ganske ; her parents, Kyle and Marian Stafford of Kasson; four grandchildren, Joshua and Kaitlyn Mitchell and Jacob and Stephanie Salisbury; two brothers, Marvin Stafford (Dee Dee) of Dodge Center and Mark Stafford (Nancy) of Ramsey, Minn.; and two sisters, Bonnie Henkel (Joe) of Austin, Texas and Betty Blood (Doug) of Springfield, Oregon, and eight loving nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to the Season's Hospice in Rochester., Minn., or St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye.

Sadie Schroeder, 97,of Sleepy Eye, died Sunday, Oct. 24, 2004, at Divine Providence Community Home in Sleepy Eye.
Service will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye on Wednesday, Oct. 27, at 10 a.m. The Clergy will be Fr. Brian Oestreich.
Burial will be at the St. Pius X Cemetery in Zimmerman, Minn.
Visitation will be at Divine Providence Community Home Chapel on Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2-3:30 p.m. and will continue at the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye on Tuesday Oct. 26, from 5-8 p.m., and on Wednesday Oct. 27, from 7:30-9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. There will be a parish prayer service at 6 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
Sadie was born March 1, 1907, in Birchwood, WI, the daughter of Albert and Ella (Kunze) Becker. The family moved to Lamberton, Minn., where she graduated from Lamberton High School and received her teachers training. She began her teaching career in 1926 and taught for four years at several country schools in Redwood County. Sadie married Hubert C. Schroeder on May 28, 1930. They farmed near Wanda, Minn., where she was a member of St. Mathias Catholic Church. She was a member of the Christian Mothers, the Catholic Order of Foresters, and the Home Extension program in Redwood Co. In 1956 Hubert and Sadie moved to Sleepy Eye where she resumed her teaching career at St. Mary's School for 12 years, while attending Mankato State College. After retiring in 1970, they built and moved to a home on Horseshoe Lake near Richmond, Minn., and became involved in the Senior Citizens' Federation. They later moved to Coon Rapids where she continued her involvement with the senior citizen organizations. Not able to live alone any longer, she moved to Divine Providence in December of 2002. Sadie enjoyed cooking and baking and is remembered for the tasty food and baked goods served in her home. She had a lifelong interest in needlework and sewing. Her creations are still treasured by her family. Reading and writing materials were never far from her reach. Teaching was the joy of her life.
Sadie is loved and remembered by her children, Les and wife Dolores of New Ulm, Dennis and wife Pat of Coon Rapids, Ellen and husband Herb Blonigen of Sartell, and Teresa Speckman- Schroeder of New Ulm; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren; 20 step- great-grandchildren; three stepgreat-great-grandchildren; sister, Elnore Petersen of Marshall; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Mae Schroeder; and sisters-in-law, Annie Hengel of Sleepy Eye and Alice Becker of Coon Rapids; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Hubert; brothers, Earl, and Leslie Becker; an infant sister; daughter-in-law, Jane Schroeder and a baby grandson.
