Shirley Kamm, 68, of rural Courtland, died Sunday, Sept. 12, 2004, at the New Ulm Medical Center in New Ulm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 16, at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity with Father John A. Richter celebrating. Burial will be in the St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Searles.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. There will be a parish prayer services at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home on Wednesday.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Charles Kamm of rural Courtland; sons, Randy Kamm and his wife, Christina of Mankato, and Jeffrey Kamm and his special friend, Chris of Courtland; grandsons, Steven, Bryan, and Todd; great-grandson, Jordan; a sister and brother-in-law, Charlotte and Elden Kamm of North Mankato; a brother, William "Bill" Plamann of Watkins; and a sister-in-law, Jean Plamann of Hammond, Louisiana
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Walter Kuelbs; brothers, James and Thomas Plamann; sister, Gloria Nagel; and by a sister-in-law, Alice Plamann.
Shirley was born on Sept. 23, 1935, in Sleepy, Eye, Minn., to William and Bertha (Franke) Plamann. On May 3, 1956, she married Charles Kamm in Anoka. She was the most beautiful woman in the world and will be greatly missed.

Anya GoblirschL, beloved infant daughter of Jim and Sherry Goblirsch of Lakeville, died September 10, 2004, at United Hospital in St. Paul.
Along with her parents, she is survived by her brothers, Tristan and Aidan; maternal grandparents, Melvin and Lois Simon of Lakeville and paternal grandparents, Tom and Lois Goblirsch of New Ulm. Also by her great-grandmother, Victoria Goblirsch of New Ulm. She is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, September 15, 2004, 11 a.m., at All Saints Catholic Church, Lakeville, with a one-hour visitation prior to the service at church. Interment will be at All Saints Cemetery, Lakeville.

Mildred A. Peterson, 89, of Franklin, died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2004, at Franklin Health Care Center.
Services are 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 17, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Franklin with burial in Franklin City Cemetery.
Visitation is Friday at the church, one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers contributions to St. Luke's Church.
She is survived by children, Darlene Ness of Franklin, Delores Marks of Le Sueur, Janice Ploof of Shakopee, 19 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren; a brother, Arnold Olson of Franklin; and sisters, Evelyn Lee of Franklin and Ruth Neunsinger of St. Cloud.
She was born Jan. 8, 1915, in Bandon Township, Renville County, Minnesota to George and Palma (Holmyre) Olson.
Nelson Martin Funeral Service of Redwood Falls is handling arrangements.

Theresa M. Schaefer, 84, of Searles, died Monday, Sept. 13, 2004, at the Divine Providence Community Home in Sleepy Eye.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 1 p.m., Friday, Sept. 17, at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Searles with burial in the church cemetery. Father Samuel Perez will celebrate.
Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m., Thursday and 7:30 - 10:30 a.m., Friday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm and will continue for one hour prior to mass at the church on Friday. The Christian Mothers Society will pray the rosary at 4 p.m., Thursday at the Cathedral in New Ulm. The St. John's Catholic Aid Society will pray the rosary at 6 p.m., and there will be a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. both Thursday at the funeral home.
Theresa is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Richard Kuck of New Ulm, Ann and Jim Schilling of Wabasso, Doris and Peter Morew of Costa Rica, Joan and Tom Asmus of Woodbury; sons and daughters-in-law, Donald Jr. and Diana Schaefer and Richard and Lynn Schaefer all of New Ulm and Joel and Melissa Schaefer of St. Peter; fifteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Maxine Tauber of Creighton, Nebraska; and a brother-in-law, Edmund Nachreiner of Fairfax.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Donald Schaefer Sr. on January 24, 1993; sisters, Mary Eckstein, Margaret Dahmen, Loretta Nachreiner, Rosella Gorres; and by a brother, Joseph Tauber.
Theresa Martha Tauber was born Sept. 1, 1920, in Mulligan Township, Brown County to John and Anna (Sellner) Tauber. She worked at Cuddahy's Egg Plant in New Ulm. She was united in marriage with Donald A. Schaefer on Sept. 2, 1944, at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. After marriage they farmed in Cottonwood Township, Brown County, where she helped on the farm and raised ducks, geese and chickens. She also assisted her husband in operating Searles Well Drilling. After forty-two years of farming, she and her husband retired and moved to Searles in 1986. Theresa loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved old-time music, dancing and gardening. Theresa was a member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Searles where she was active her entire adult life, the Christian Mothers Society, the Council of Catholic Women, and the St. John's Catholic Aid Society.
In lieu of flowers, the Schaefer family prefers memorials to the St. John's Restoration/Elevator Fund.

Dwaine D. Peterson, 71 of Winthrop, died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004, at the Winthrop Good Samaritan Center, of cancer.
Funeral services are 1 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 19, at Peace Lutheran Church in Winthrop. Burial will be in the Winthrop Cemetery, with full military rites by the Winthrop Honor Guard.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m., Saturday and from 7:30 ­ 11a.m., Sunday at the Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Winthrop. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the time of services at the church on Sunday.
Dwaine is survived by his: wife, Bel Peterson of Winthrop; daughter, Katie Ibarra of Winthrop; stepdaughters, Judy Rasche of NYA, MN and Jackie Wilson of New Auburn; stepson, John Lanz of Jackson; four grandchildren; 10 stepgrandchildren and sisters, Darlene Kotila of Cokato, Joyce Hanke of Hutchinson, Julie Mielke of Glencoe and Shirley Hahn of Hutchinson.
He was born April 5, 1933, in Brookfield Township, Renville County, Minn., to Joseph and Rose (Buhler) Peterson.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1951 ­ 1953 during the Korean War.

Evelyn Schiro, 82, of Gibbon, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2004, at the Hutchinson Community Hospital.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gibbon with Pastor Richard J. Kuckhahn officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday and 7:30-11:30 a.m., Saturday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Gibbon and will continue for one hour prior to the time of service at the church on Saturday.
Evelyn is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Paula and Jim Weir of Fairfax, and Carol and Robert Larson of Gibbon; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Donna Schiro of Winthrop, and Roger and Sharon Schiro of Gibbon; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Lorna Shanahan, Wilma Schmidt and her husband, John, and Marlys Tessmer all of Glencoe; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Grenke of Glencoe.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ervin J. Schiro on Dec. 1, 1990; a daughter, Nancy Schiro on Jan. 28, 1967; sisters, Elda Pautz and Elvira Rubendall; and brothers, Raymond Grenke and Herbert Grenke.
Evelyn Hilda Elsie was born on May 4, 1922, in Glencoe to Charles and Emma Grenke. She was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Glencoe. She graduated from Glencoe High School and worked in the Litchfield Hospital.
On Feb. 16, 1944, she was united in marriage to Ervin J. Schiro in Glencoe. They lived in Cokato, Cosmos, Buffalo Lake and then moved to Gibbon in 1956. Evelyn was a Stanley dealer for many years and also worked at the Gibbon Creamery. She worked as a cook for ten years at the Gibbon Public School and another ten years at Immanuel Lutheran School before she retired. Evelyn was active in Gibbon Senior Citizens and Immanuel Lutheran Ladies Guild. She enjoyed playing cards, especially Michigan Rummy, with her friends and family. Evelyn was a great story writer and an avid reader. She will be remembered for her way of giving advice to all who would listen.

Wilford H. Schwirtz, 78, of Green Isle, died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004, at the Sibley Medical Center in Arlington.
Services are 3 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 19, at Zion Lutheran Church, Green Isle Township.
Visitation is Sunday at the church, two hours prior to the service.
He is survived by his wife, Louise of Green Isle; children, Karen Schatz of Arlington, David of Annandale, Sandra Mathews of Glencoe, Allen of Green Isle, Lisa Schauer of Glencoe and Tammy Overson of Litchfield; 18 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Luanna Goetz of Waconia, Wyman of Eagan, Raymond of Minneapolis, Mavis Huepenbecker of Glencoe and Kenneth Schmitz of Pierz.
He was born June 17, 1926, near Hamburg to William and Ida (Kamps) Schwirtz.

James Charles Darling, age 53, of Austin, died Wednesday, September 15, 2004 in Austin.
He was born in Worthington, Minnesota on July 5, 1951, the sixth child of Ray Hamilton and Mary Rose (Hyde) Darling. Jim graduated from Worthington High School in 1969. He received three degrees from the University of Minnesota, a BA, BS and MS, all in the field of chemistry and education. He married Lisa Gruenewald on July 3, 1982 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Jim received a law degree from William Mitchell College of Law in 1989. He operated a family business, the Shady Lane Motel, in Worthington. He taught chemistry at North Hennepin Community College, Minnesota West Community College and Otero Junior College in LaJunta, Colorado. He was a law clerk and practiced law in New Ulm before moving to Austin where he has taught chemistry at Riverland Community College for the past ten years. Jim enjoyed running, swimming, climbing state high points, hiking in the Colorado mountains and renovating and restoring old homes. He also enjoyed watching and encouraging his children's musical, sports and school activities. Jim will be missed and remembered for his commitment to education and his friendliness and enjoyment of other people.
Survivors include his wife, Lisa; children, Margaret, William, and Henry, all of Austin; brothers, Robert (Ellen) Darling, Worthington; Harris (Janet) Darling, Worthington; Ray (Bonnie) Darling, Arlington, Virginia; John Darling, Bloomington; sister, Mary, Tulsa, Oklahoma; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Richard Hawthorne.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 20, 2004 at Faith Evangelical Free Church with Pastor Pat Wester officiating.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday at Worlein Funeral Home and at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at 3:00 p.m., Monday at Worthington Cemetery, Worthington.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Children's College Trust Fund set up at Sterling State Bank, 1419 First Ave. SW, Austin MN 55912.

LaVon Lickfett, 79, of rural Stewart, died on Friday, Sept. 17, 2004, at the Hutchinson Community Hospital in Hutchinson.
A celebration of her life will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Stewart, with private family burial in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Hutchinson and will continue one hour prior to services at the church.

Mary F. Runing, 62, died on Sept. 15, 2004, in Casa Grande, Ariz.
She was born on Sept. 17, 1941, in Minneapolis, MN.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church in White Bear Lake, MN. The visitation and viewing will be at the same church on Tuesday, Sept. 19, starting at 9:00 AM. Mass will be at 11:00 AM following the visitation. The address for St Pius is 3878 Highland Ave., White Bear Lake. The church is of Hwy 61 and Cedar Ave. in White Bear Lake.
There will be a small lunch served after Mass in the church cafeteria.
There will be a small service held at Ft Snelling National Cemetery following the lunch.
She is survived by her husband Francis Curt Runing, formally of Sleepy Eye; her children Connie Remley, Tempe, AZ; Debra and Dave Coffman, Bloomington, MN; Val Korte, Minneapolis, MN, Michael Korte, Florence, AZ; Mark and Darcy Korte, Champlain, MN; Shawn and Marcy Runing, Mankato, MN; Dawn and Jim Bentley, Rochester, MN; six grandchildren, Jeremy, Nicki, Kayla, Tyler, Melissa and Samantha; one great grandchild, Avery; brothers John McCabe, Gilbert, AZ; William (Buster) McCabe, Minneapolis, MN; sisters Geraldine Sodman, Ramsey, MN, Margaret Prehar, Robbinsdale, MN; a host of other family members and friends, both in Arizona and Minnesota.
Preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth A. McCabe and Harriet A. McCabe and her brother Edward T. McCabe.

Raymond C. Sinell, age 82, of Le Sueur, died at the Gardenview Nursing Home on
Friday morning, Sept. 17, 2004. He was born on August 19, 1922 in Kelso Township, Sibley County to Gustav and Lila (Sassenberg) Sinell. Raymond graduated from LeSueur High School and attended Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis, He served in the United States Army during World War II and married Edith Ross on April 18, 1947 at Zion United Church of Christ in Le Sueur. He worked for Green Giant in Le Sueur for many years. He was a member of Zion United Church of Christ, Veterans of Foreign Wars and was a past member of the LeSueur Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by his children, Shelly (Brian) Schuck of New Ulm, MN, Sue (Bob) Fraser of Edgerton, MN, Sheryl (Terry) Meyer of Le Sueur, MN, Steve (Jean) Sinell of Shakopee, MN, Bill (Rene) Sinell of Le Sueur, MN, Ron (Anne) Sinell of Le Sueur, MN, Deb (Gary) Sanford of Owatonna, MN; 22 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife Edith "Ede" in 1998 and a sister, Doris Mcgill.
Funeral services will be on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Zion United Church of Christ in Le Sueur. Visitation wilt be at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur on Sunday, Sept 19, from 4-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the services at the church on Monday. Internment with military honors by the Le Sueur Honor Guard will be in Mound Cemetery, Le Sueur.

Marilyn J. Beltz, 72, of Gibbon died Friday, Sept. 17, 2004 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gibbon with burial in the church cemetery. Pastor Richard J. Kuckhahn will officiate.
Visitation will be 5 - 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 20, and from 7:30 until 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Gibbon. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the time of service at the church on Tuesday.
Marilyn is survived by a daughter, Pamela Beltz, of Brooklyn Park; sons, Timothy Beltz and his wife, Jeri, of Farmington and Michael Beltz and his wife, Jennifer, of Harris; seven grandchildren, one great granddaughter; sisters Harriet Emans and her husband, Harlan, of Hutchinson, Diane Duehne and her husband, Jimmy, of Brownton; and by brothers, Loren Kirchoff and his wife, Shirley, of Stewart and Ray Kirchoff of Eagle Lake. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Jackie Herschman.
Marilyn Joyce Kirchoff, the daughter of Ewald and Selma (Furst) Kirchoff, was born on Dec. 13, 1932 in Stewart. She graduated from the Stewart High School. She then moved to Gibbon where she worked at the Citizens State Bank. Marilyn also worked at Fingerhut, first in St. Cloud and then in Mankato. Later she moved to the Minneapolis area where she worked for Calhoun Collectors Society and then for DRI Industries. In the late 80's Marilyn moved to Marshfield, Wis. and worked at Figis until her health forced her into retirement at the age of 60.
In 1997 she moved back to Gibbon. Marilyn was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gibbon. She was an avid reader and a very artistic person enjoying sculpting, painting, and drawing with charcoal. She also loved to play guitar. Marilyn was a patient at the hospital for the past two weeks.
