Richard J. Baumann, 82,of Sleepy Eye, died on Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2004 at Sleepy Eye Care Center.
Visitation will be at Sturm Funeral Home on Friday, Aug. 27, from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 7:30 to 9:45 a.m. There will be a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Services will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sleepy Eye on Saturday, Aug. 28, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Military rites will be provided by the Sleepy Eye Honor Guard
Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye.
Richard was born on Feb. 14, 1922 in Lake Lillian, MN, the son of John Frank and Cecelia (Martinka) Baumann.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara of Sleepy Eye, children and their spouses; Mary Baumann and Bill Durdin of Sleepy Eye, Doug and Avis Baumann of Minneapolis, Linda and Carl Erlandson of Jacksonville, NC, Dan Baumann and Andrea Tauer of Minnetonka, Liz and Steve Koskiniemi of Staples, Andy and Mary Baumann of Green Bay, WI; 16 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sisters, Irene Flann and Lillian Peterson, both of California and Pearl and husband, David Wallenta of Lake Lillian. He was preceded in death by his parents, son,John, brothers, Marvin, Vernon and Harold.

Doreen Grams (Mrs. Victor Kiecker), 83, of Fairfax, died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2004 at the New Ulm Medical Center.
Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, 2004 at the Emanuel Lutheran Church in Wellington Township, Renville County with Pastor Matthew Kuske officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Emanuel Lutheran Church from 4-8 p.m. today and will continue for one hour prior to the time of service at the church on Saturday. Minnesota Valley Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Doreen is survived by her husband, Victor Kiecker of Fairfax; a daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and William Schulzetenberg of Glendale, Arizona; stepsons, Ronald Kiecker and his wife, Ginger of Gallatin, Tennessee, Gerald Kiecker and his wife Lori of Augusta, Kansas, and Douglas and Barb Kiecker of Fairfax; grandchildren, Trent, Todd, and Tiffany; ten step grandchildren; nine step great grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Floyd and Dorothy Parry of Morganville, Kansas; and a sister-in-law, Louise Parry of Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents; previous husband, Buddy Grams on April 11, 2001; a sister, Mary Olson; and by a brother, Albert Parry.
Doreen was born on Feb. 11, 1921 in Wakefield, Kansas to Lewellyn and Fleda (Shorman) Parry. On Jan. 12, 1946, she married Vernon Grams in Clay Center, Kansas. They later moved to New Ulm where she was a Nurses Aid and activities Director at the Fairfax Community Home. On May 4, 2002, she married Victor Kiecker at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Wellington Township. She was a wonderful caregiver that enjoyed cooking, gardening, and her friends and loved her cats and grandkids.
She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, the Ladies Aide, the American Legion Auxiliary, Fairfax Community Home Auxiliary, and had been a 4H leader.

Douglas P. Frank, 40 of Fairfax, died Thursday, Aug. 26, 2004, in Redwood Falls.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Fairfax, with interment in St. Andrew's Catholic Cemetery in Cairo Township, Renville County.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.
Arrangements are with the Hauser- Hantge Chapel in Fairfax.
Douglas is survived by his parents, Eddie and Shirley Frank of Fairfax; and a sister, Deb Loverude of New Ulm.

Victor Turbes, 83, formerly of Springfield, died on Friday, Aug. 27, 2004, at the Delano Health Care Center in Delano.
Arrangements are pending with Sturm Funeral Home, Springfield.

Elsie Hicks, 84, of St. Peter, died Tuesday, June 29, 2004 at the Grandview Good Samaritan Center in St. Peter.
Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 6, at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Nicollet. Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 7 at the Maplewood Cemetery in Luverne.
Visitation will be from 9:30-11 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Bufford Glen Tucker, 68, of 1211 N. Spring St., New ULm, died Monday, June 28, 2004, at home.
Funeral is 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 2, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm, with burial in Arkansas at a later date.
Visitation is one hour before the service at the church.
Schmucker Funeral Service handled arrangements.
He is survived by wife Doris Tucker of New Ulm; daughter Cindi Davidson of New Ulm; and three grandchildren.
He was born July 12, 1935, in Day, Ark., to Thomas and Zelma Tucker.

Ervin J. Kaseforth, 88, of Springfield, died Wednesday, June 30, 2004, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.
Services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, July 3, at Zion Lutheran Church in Springfield with burial at Sanborn City Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Friday and 7:30-9 a.m., Saturday at Sturm Funeral Home, Springfield. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.
Military honors by John Watson American Legion Post 257.
He is survived by wife, Helen of Springfield; sons, Ken Kaseforth of Bloomington, and Mark Kaseforth of Hays, KS; four grandchildren; and sisters, Viola Johansen of Montevideo, Elizabeth Hansen of Willmar, and Lillian Schiller of New Ulm.
Ervin John Kaseforth was born Nov. 1, 1915, in Stately Township, Brown County, to John and Otillie (Mueller) Kaseforth.
He served in the U.S. Army from Aug. 12, 1942, to March 21, 1946.

Kenneth 'Kenny' Losleben, 73, of Sleepy Eye, died Tuesday, June 29, 2004 at his home after a 15-month battle with lung cancer.
Service will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye on Saturday, July 3, at 10 a.m. The clergy will be Fr. Brian Oestreich. Interment St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Sleepy Eye.
Visitation will be at Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye, on Friday, July 2, from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. There will be a KC/Catholic Aid rosary at 4 p.m. and a parish prayer service at 6 p.m., both Friday at the funeral home.
Kenneth Arnold Losleben, the son of Arnold and Theresa (Fischer) Losleben was born March 7, 1931, in Home Township. He attended Country School District 191 in Home Township and St. Mary's High School in Sleepy Eye. He farmed on the family farm for over 30 years in Home Township, Brown County when his son took over the farming. He worked at Carl's Corner, Essig and Meyers Bar, Sleepy Eye. He worked at the Farmers Elevator in fertilizer and grain divisions from 1985 until 2003 when Kenny was diagnosed with lung cancer. Kenny was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Catholic Aid Society. He was on the School Board of District 191 over 5 years and Home Township Board for 21 years until his death. He was also a camp host at Fort Ridgley, Fairfax for three years. He enjoyed camping, woodworking, yard work and especially visits from his grandchildren and playing cards with them. He enjoyed collecting toy tractors and most of all meeting the gang at Essig for morning coffee. Kenny married to Marjorie D. Sellner on June 2, 1952, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie of rural Sleepy Eye; daughters, Lynn Losleben and her husband Jay Ayers of Camano Island, WA, LuAnn Schwint and her husband George of Sleepy Eye; a son, Michael Losleben and his wife Tina of Sleepy Eye; grandchildren include George Schwint and his wife Deanna, Jacklyn Schwint, Jennifer Schwint, Michael Ayers and Lauren Ayers and Tina's children Joshua, Christian and Jessicca; two brothers, Armin Losleben and his wife Lucille of Sleepy Eye and James Losleben of Mendota Heights; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a niece.

Elsie E. Renner
Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, July 10, at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Fernando, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, July 9, at the Hughes Funeral Home in Stewart and continues one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
Elsie is survived by her children Delmar Renner of Clearwater, Fla., John Renner of Winthrop, Carol Block of Brownton, and Gary Renner of Gibbon; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Elsie Emma Renner was born Nov. 14, 1906, in Helen Township, rural Plato, to John and Marie (Veterholdt) Eitel.

Irene Voges, 85, of Courtland died Saturday, July 3, 2004 at the Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 8, 2004 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Courtland with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday and 7:30-8:30 a.m. Thursday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the time of service at the church on Thursday.
Irene is survived by her husband, George Voges of Courtland; daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Ernie Johnson of Nicollet, Darlene and Keith Olson of St. James, Carol and Bob Folsom of Courtland, and Jane and Doug Gulden of Courtland; sons and daughters-in-law, Roger and Ruth Voges of Jenkins, and Dale and Donna Voges of Courtland; twenty one grandchildren; and twenty six great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Josie Wilking of Nicollet; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ray and Harriet Boerger of Nicollet, Willard and Edna Arndt of Janesville, Ray and Barb Voges of Bemidji, Arline Voges of Courtland, and Betty and Lester Barkus of Pequot Lakes. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Clarence Wilking.
Irene Anna Wilking was born on March 19, 1919 in Granby Township, Nicollet County to Henry and Anna (Meyer) Wilking. She attended school in Granby Township. She was confirmed at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nicollet on March 20, 1932. On September 5, 1939, she married George Fred Voges at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nicollet by Pastor Fred Koehler. After marriage, they farmed in Courtland Township, Nicollet County. She continued to live on the farm until January of this year. She lived at Prairie Senior Cottages from February until two and a half weeks ago when she moved to the Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Courtland and of the Dorcas Society at church.
Irene loved to cook, bake, garden, and play cards.

Ruth (Mrs. Harold) Hanson
Services are 11 a.m., Thursday, July 8, in Trinity Lutheran Church, Johnsonville Township, Redwood County.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m., Wednesday in her home at 22425 Garden Avenue and continues Thursday one hour prior to services in the Johnsonville Lutheran Church.
The Sunset Funeral & Cremation Association of Echo and Wabasso is handling the arrangements.
Ruth Delores Hanson was born February 24, 1926, in Marshall, Minn., to Nels Andrew and Teda (Mammenga) Ellingson.
She is survived by her husband Harold and her son Randy Hanson of Wabasso.

Esther Marie Schaefer Koss, 95, of Hopkins, died of natural causes Friday July 2, 2004.
Esther was born Nov. 17, 1908, in Nicollet, Minn.
She married Frank R. Koss on Aug. 20, 1938. Frank preceded her in death in 1982. She and Frank raised two boys, John and James. Esther worked alongside her husband Frank at Koss Paint and Wallpaper In Hopkins, Minn., until she retired in 1978. After retirement, Esther was active in the St. Joseph Catholic Church and Altar Society in Hopkins. Esther has been a resident of St. Therese S,W. in Hopkins since June 1998, and more recently Hillcrest Care Center in Wayzata.
She is survived by her sons and their wives, John and Rita, James and Mary; grandsons, Paul, Mark and Michael.
Mass of Christian Burial will be hold 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 7, with visitation one hour before at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1310 Main Street, Hopkins.
A reception will follow the mass at St. Joseph.
Private interment in St. Margaret Cemetery, Minnetonka.

Myrtle O. Turbes, 80, of Sleepy Eye, Minn., died on Sunday, July 4, 2004, at Sleepy Eye Care Center.
Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 7, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye. The clergy will be Pastor Ron Freimark. Interment will be in Home Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m., Tuesday, July 6, and on 7:30-8:30 a.m., Wednesday July 7, at Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye. Visitation will continue from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
Myrtle (Olson) Turbes was born November 17, 1923, in Albin Township, Brown County to John and Mabel (Rossbach) Olson. She attended District 28 country school and graduated from Sleepy Eye Public School in 1941. She graduated from Minneapolis Business College as a legal secretary in 1942 and worked at the First National Bank in Sleepy Eye for five years. She married Sylvester N. Turbes in Sleepy Eye on January 16, 1946. They resided in Springfield, Minn., for 10 years where her husband worked for Conley's Clothing Store. They moved back to Sleepy Eye in November of 1959 where she and her husband owned Turbes Clothing, Inc. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye. She served as president of Springfield and Sleepy Eye American Legion Auxiliary and was a member of the Past Presidents in both Springfield and Sleepy Eye American Legion Auxiliary. Myrtle served as secretary to the Second District American Legion Auxiliary in 1961. She served as Head Start Director for four county areas during 1968 - 1971, and as Region 9 Field Representative for ARC from 1971 - 1973. She assisted her husband in Turbes Clothing, Inc. She served as president of the Sleepy Eye PTA. She was Lay Board member for 12 years for Brown County. She served 12 years with Brown-Nicollet Community Health Board, and was Chairman for Brown-Nicollet Environmental Health Committee. She served 10 years as Minnesota Region 9 Social Services Assistant.
Myrtle enjoyed gardening, reading, crocheting, working with plants, playing cards, and working in leadership positions.
She is survived by her husband Sylvester N. Turbes of Sleepy Eye; two sons, Stanley and Karen Turbes of Hanska and their children, Christopher, Matt, and Shawna and her husband Jeff Sellner and a great-grandchild, Lexus Sellner; and Larry Turbes and Jean Elton Turbes of Duluth and their children Jennifer and Joshua.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Norma Petersen.
