PIERZ -- Marie Sitzman, 82, Pierz, died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2000, at St. Mary's Villa Nursing Home of Pierz.

PINE RIVER -- Mary E. Adams, 77, Pine River, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2000, at home.

Saraphine Loidolt
PIERZ -- Saraphine Loidolt, 74, Pierz, died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000, at home.
She was born Sept. 17, 1925, in Pierz to Matt and Barbara (Faust) Stuckmayer. She married Leander Loidolt on Sept. 2, 1947, in St. John's Catholic Church of Lastrup. She worked at Hartman's Store. In 1950, they moved to their farm near Lastrup and farmed there for 35 years. Their son, Tom, took over their farm. They moved to Leander's home place and for 15 years, they raised chickens for Gold 'N Plump. She worked at St. Mary's Villa. She was past president of Christian Mothers and past president and treasurer of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, Pierz; two sons, Tom, Pierz, and Dave, Pierz; six daughters, Barbara Happke, Pierz, Sharon Norris, Lakeville, Beverly Holmquist, Bynum, Mont., Mary Tschida, Hopkins, Alyce Justin, St. Stephan, and Diane Walker, Big Lake; 21 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four brothers, Matt, Gerald and Melvin, all of Pierz, and Clarence, Farmington; and three sisters, Emma Hoffman, Pierz, Janet Schlegal, Inver Grove Heights, and Marilyn Flicker, St. Paul.
Her parents, two sisters, Melvina Lust and Delores Saehr, and a grandchild, died earlier.
Services were today at St. John's Catholic Church of Lastrup with Father Roger Thoennes officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.

Annette M. Block
DUELM -- Annette Marie Block, 41, Duelm, and formerly of Pierz, died Friday, Aug. 11, 2000, as a result of a motorcycle accident north of Two Harbors.
She was born March 18, 1959, to Rolland and Lea (Rauch) Block. She attended school in Pierz and graduated in 1977. She completed her degree in textile management at Anoka Hennepin Technical College. She married Steven Kloss on Nov. 25, 1978. She worked at Ferche Millworks Inc. in Rice.
Survivors include three sons, Pvt. Jeff Klos, Wakiawa, Hawaii, Josh Kloss, Foley, and Kurt Kloss, Duelm; a daughter, Nicole Kloss, Duelm; her parents; a grandmother, Angeline Block; three grandchildren; and seven sisters, Sheri Streasick, Knoxville, Iowa, Nita Hayes, Maple Grove, Denise Brenteson, Zimmerman, Carol Block, Forest Lake, Diane Varner, Pierz, Lisa Gall, Pierz, and Sandy Meyer, Foley.
Her grandparents, Herman H. Block, John B. and Regina Rauch, and two sisters, Sheila and Baby Block, died earlier.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Pierz with Father Gerald Dalseth officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Tuesday at Brenny Funeral Home of Pierz, with Christian Mothers praying at 4:30 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 7 p.m., and from 9 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday at Brenny Funeral Home of Pierz.
Dolores C. VonderHaar
LITTLE FALLS -- Dolores C. VonderHaar, 87, Little Falls, died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2000, at Lutheran Care Center of Little Falls.
She was born June 26, 1913, in Little Falls to Milton and Phoebe (Cote) Lonnee. She graduated from Little Falls High School. She married Carl VonderHaar on Oct. 2, 1934, in Milbank, S.D. The couple moved to Little Falls. They lived in various states while he served in World War II. After the war, they returned to Little Falls. They wintered in Harlingen, Texas, and later in Lake Havasu City, Ariz. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband; four sons, Gary VonderHaar, Little Falls, J. Thomas VonderHaar, St. Louis Park, Lee VonderHaar, Flowery Branch, Ga., and Neil VonderHaar, Little Falls; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Milton Lonne, Garden Grove, Calif., Jack Lonnee, St. Paul, and Dick Lonnee, St. Paul; and two sisters, Muriel Hubner, Garden Grove, Calif., and Shirley Mrozik, Medford, Ore.
A grandchild died earlier.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Little Falls with the Rev. Nick Landsberger and Harold J. Kost officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery of Little Falls. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, with Daughters of Isabella praying the rosary at 4:30 p.m., parish prayers at 5 p.m. and American Legion Auxiliary services at 6 p.m. at Shelley Funeral Chapel of Little Falls and from 8-10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
Barbara A. Gilbert
CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- Barbara Ann Gilbert, 66, Cedar Falls, Iowa, and formerly of Brainerd, died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2000, of cancer, at Sterling House Assisted Living Center of Cedar Falls, Iowa.
She was born Feb. 27, 1934, in Manchester, Iowa, to Harry Albert and Grace Marie (Heerts) Stowell. She married Ronald Edward Gilbert on Sept. 15, 1951, in Waterloo, Iowa. They lived in Waterloo where she worked as a dental lab technician for 20 years and operated a seamstress business from her home. They retired in 1991 to Brainerd. He died on March 3, 1993. She continued to live in Brainerd until April when she moved back to the Waterloo area. She was active in church and as a hospital volunteer.
Survivors include three daughters, Beverly Harris, Evansdale, Iowa, Carol Thurm, Denver, Iowa, and Susan Bergeson, Marshalltown, Iowa; a son, Ronald Gilbert, Brainerd; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Francille Tuel, Galt, Calif., and Jean Hultman, Loyalton, Calif.
Her husband, her parents, and a sister, Shirley Berlau, died earlier.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Nazareth Lutheran Church Chapel of Cedar Falls with Pastor Tim Schoepf officiating. Burial will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Evergreen Cemetery of Brainerd. Memorials are preferred to Cedar Valley Hospice.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home of Denver, Iowa.
Amy Beth Andersen
Amy Beth Andersen, 38, Brainerd, died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2000, as the result of a traffic accident.

Levi Michael Newman
MINNEAPOLIS -- Levi Michael Newman, infant son of Heather Henderson and Shane Newman, Frazee, died Friday, Jan. 19, 2001, at Fairview Riverside Hospital in Minneapolis.
Survivors include his parents; and his grandmother, Patricia Henderson, Fingal, N.D.
His twin brother, Lars Mathew Newman, died earlier.
Services will be 3 p.m. today at Brenny Funeral Home in Staples with the Rev. Brian Burton officiating. Burial will be in Scandia Valley Cemetery.

Allan F. Cummings
AITKIN -- Allan F. Cummings, 95, Aitkin, died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2001, at the Riverwood Health Care Center in Aitkin.
He was born March 25, 1905, in Cass Lake to I.W. and Ethel (Oppelt) Cummings. He attended Cedar Lake School and Aitkin High School. He worked for a time for the Duluth Steel Mill. He worked most of his life raising turkeys north of Aitkin. After he retired, he worked for Don Bertram and the First National Bank of Aitkin. He married Margaret Hoge. She died in 1961. He later married Elizabeth Middleton in Aitkin in 1964. She died in 1998. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Aitkin, the Knights of Columbus Council, and the Order of Catholic Foresters. He served as a member of the Aitkin Township Board, the Farm Bureau and was chairman of the Aitkin Flood Control Project.
Survivors include his two daughters, Margaret Mary Nielsen, New Hope, Mary Catherine Dosan, Edina; a son, Eugene Cummings, Aitkin; a sister, Leslie Ferguson, Brainerd; a brother, Shirley Cummings, Aitkin; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Both his wives and his brothers, Kenneth and Francis, died earlier.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. James Catholic Church in Aitkin with Father Patrick J. Coyle officiating. Burial will be in the St. Thomas Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday with parish prayers at 7 p.m. and a rosary service at 7:30 p.m. at Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home in Aitkin.
