Ernest W. Himango

Services for Ernest W. Himango, 82, formerly of Minneapolis and Buffalo, were Wednesday, May 3, 2000 at the Peterson Chapel St. Michael-Albertville Funeral Home.

Mr. Himango died Thursday, April 27, 2000, at the Edina Care Center. He was born Nov. 16, 1917, in Esko, Minn., the son of Alex and Selma Gustafson Himango. He had a milk route in Minneapolis for more than 30 years.

He is survived by children, Wayne (Sue) Himango of Bailey, Colo., Jennie Pitlick of Maple Grove and fiancé, Don Neva, Clayton (Claire) Himango of Clinton, Wash., and Douglas Himango of Spring Lake Park; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Rudolph (Agnes) Himango of Starbuck and Clifford (Ginny) Laakso of Hopkins; good friends, Ray and Esther Jensen of Hopkins; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Mr. Himango was preceded in death by parents, Alex and Selma Himango; wife, Beatrice and sister, Alma Granholm.

Adele G. Kelzenberg

Funeral services for Adele G. Kelzenberg, 72, of Champlin were Saturday, May 6, at the Gearty-Delmore Robbinsdale Chapel. Burial was at the Church of St. Austin. Interment was at Gethsemane Cemetery.

Mrs. Kelsenberg was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy; son, Joseph; daughter Anne Marie; granddaughter, Kristina Kelzenberg.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, William and Jane Kelzenberg, Steven and Tammy Kelzenberg; daughter and sons-in-law, Teresa and Gary Schulz, Joanne and Ric Dahinden, Susan and Chris Swansen, Judy and Tom Barthel, Janet and Jack Taylor; 16 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; brother, Mark Gagnon and family; and other relatives and friends.

Memorials are prefered to North Memorial Hospice.

John R. (Johnny) Narr

Services for John R. (Johnny) Narr, 50, of Watertown were Thursday, May 4, 2000 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Watertown.

Rev. Paul Krentz and Rev. Jeff Harter officiated and interment was in the Crow River Cemetery in New Germany.

Casket bearers were Roger Dobratz, Robert Dobratz, James Hoese, Bobbi Jo Kadrie, Brian Schubert, Jerry Schubert, Gene Narr and Jesse Narr. Honorary casket bearers were Beth Baumann, Betty Jopp, Renae Schubert, Cindy Dobratz, Wendy Narr and Danielle Engel.

Mr. Narr died Sunday, April 30, 2000 at his daughter and son-in-law's house in Montrose. He was born Oct. 21, 1949 in Watertown, the son of Raymond E. and Vernice C. (Guetzkow) Narr. He was baptized Nov. 13, 1949 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Hollywood Township and confirmed April 7, 1963 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Watertown. He was a graduate of Watertown High School and worked in maintenance for Carver County for 25 years. He was fond of his grandchild, Trevor.

Mr. Narr was preceded in death by father, Raymond Narr; grandparents, John and Martha Narr and Gustav and Lena Guetzkow.

He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Delilah and Jay Ownbey of Montrose; son and friend, Jon Narr and Tiffany Sellner of Plymouth; grandchild, Trevor Ownbey; mother, Vernice Narr of Montrose; sisters and brothers-in-law, Valaria and Lowell Schubert of Delano, Carolyn and Harlan Dobratz of New Germany, Linda and Erland Hoese of Howard Lake and Becky and Dan Engel of Hopkins; brother and sister-in-law, Bruce and Sandy Narr of Dassel; godchildren, Roger Dobratz and Bobbi Jo Kadric; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Shirley Wilkes

Services for Shirley Maxine Wilkes, 74, of Elk River were Thursday, April 27, 2000 at Dare's Funeral Home.

Ms. Wilkes was born April 14, 1926 in Werner, N.D., to Jacob Zwicker and Dagmar Cecilia Christensen.

She married Donald Wilkes Sr. Nov. 18, 1946 in Elk River. She attended Halliday High School in Halliday, N.D.

She enjoyed painting and crocheting - her specialty was small dolls that she made for family and friends. She took a great interest in ceramics, pottery and refurbishing furniture. She was a special mother, grandmother and friend to many who will miss her dearly.

Ms. Wilkes is survived by daughter, Jaquelyn of Monticello; sons, Ronald of Elk River, Donald Jr. (Beth) of Rogers, Douglas (Charlene) of Zimmerman; former spouse, Donald R. Wilkes; sisters Dolores (Don) Elliott of Ajo, Ariz., and Georgia Marudas of Engelwood, Colo.; three granddaughters, three grandsons and one great-grandson.

She is preceded in death by her father, Jacob Zwicker and mother Dagmar Cecilia Zwicker.

Memorials are preferred to American Society or St. Jude's Children Research Hospital.

Cheryl Christian

Services for Cheryl Lee Christian, 54, of Rogers were Saturday, April 29, 2000 at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Rogers.

Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Christian died Wednesday, April 26, in Rogers. She was born Sept. 21, 1945 in Mankato.

She was a member of St. Martin's Catholic Church in Rogers. She was a very strong, faith-filled mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend who carried her cross of cancer for 15 years and always brought peace, love and joy to others.

She was preceded in death by her parents Floyd and Dorothy Bedbury and son Jacob Leonard.

Survivors include her husband David; children and spouses, Darla, Brenda (Will Vervair) Deanna (Ross Smith), Eugenia, Rebecca (Jason Priem) Jonathan and Jeremy; brothers and sisters, Wayne Anderson, Judy Brady, Charles Bedbury, Carmen Wood, Marla Gmach and Paula Gherke; grandchildren, Clyde, Jacob, Cody, Angelica, Emma and Isaac; and other friend and relatives and special nanny Bernadine Goth.

Michaela Rose Chaffins

Services for Michaela Rose Chaffins, 2, of Montrose were Saturday, April 22, 2000 at United Methodist Church in Montrose.

Pastor Marvin E. Repinski officiated and interment was in Kreidler Cemetery.

Casket bearers were Mike Marketon, Jim Tourville, Mike Daniels and Roy "Coco" Henry. The Montrose Fire Department served as honorary casket bearers.

Michaela died Wednesday, April 19, 2000 at Buffalo Hospital. She was born Oct. 4, 1997 in Buffalo, the daughter of Jason and Amy (Prestidge) Chaffins.

She is survived by parents, Jason and Amy Chaffins of Montrose; grandparents, Gordon and Dawn Chaffins of Delano, Keith and Carol Prestidge and Mike and Nancy Farniok, all of Montrose; great-grandparents, Ione Chaffins of Howard Lake, Gloria Adickes of Montrose, Clarence (Lucille) Farniok of Watertown and Geraldine Burmeister of Dassel; great-great-grandmother, Alvera Honebrink of Montrose; aunts and uncles, Katie Chaffins of Delano, Clayton (Tammy) Prestidge and cousin, Heather of Buffalo, Trina (Nathan) Pauly of Montrose, Mandy Gilland of Maple Lake and Brett Farniok of Montrose; Godparents, Jim and Sonya Tourville and son, Landon of Montrose and Clayton and Tammy Prestidge and many other relatives.

Francis Danielson

Services for Francis Sigfried Danielson, 76, of Brooklyn Park were Monday, May 1, 2000 at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home, 34 Second St. N.E., Osseo.

Burial was in Rush Creek Cemetery.

Mr. Danielson died Saturday, April 27. He was born March 6, 1924 in Roseau.

Mr. Danielson was a machinist at FMC for many years. He was a good husband and father.

Survivors include his wife Lois; children Anita Klatt (Don), Jerry (Lyn Jones), Kathy Alexander (Dave), Karen Homa (Dick); sisters, Violet, Bernice and Ruth and 10 grandchildren.

Mildred M. Dick

Services for Mildred M. Dick, 80, of St. Michael were 11:30 a.m. Monday, April 24, 2000, at St. Michael Catholic Church in St. Michael. Rev. Anthony M. Criscitelli, TOR, was the celebrant. Interment followed at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Jason Dick, Jacob Peterson, Chris Dick, Greg Dick, Larry Dick and Gordy Oehrlein served as casket bearers.

Mrs. Dick died Wednesday, April 19, at Park View Care Center.

She was born in St. Michael October 13, 1919, the daughter of Hubert and Ida Dehmer Hengels.

On Sept. 10, 1946, Mildred Hengels and Clarence Dick were joined in holy marriage at St. Michael Catholic Church.

Through the years, Mrs. Dick assisted her husband in their family businesses, Dick's Tavern in St. Michael and Dick's Red Owl Grocery in Forest Lake.

She was a faithful member of St. Michael Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers. She also belonged to the American Legion Post Auxiliary #567.

Mrs. Dick is survived by her children, Arnold (Cecelia) Dick of Lakeville, Dorothy Dick-Peterson of Minneapolis, Earl (Jan) Dick of Minnetonka; grandchildren, Jason (Jane), Greg, Chris, Cody, Logan, Jacob, Amanda, Evan and Corey; a brother, Harold Hengels; and a sister, Verna Hengels, both of St. Michael; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Pearl Oehrlein of Hastings, Erwin (Shirley) Dick of Wayzata and Norbert Barthel of Annandale.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence A. Dick, in 1995; parents; brothers, Oscar Hengels and Ernest Hengels; and by a sister, Martha Barthel.

Doris L. Francis

Services for Doris L. "Do" Francis, 89, of Buffalo were 11 a.m. Saturday, April 22, 2000, at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hanover. Rev. Paul R. Settergren officiated.

Colleen Johnson was the organist for the funeral service. How Great Thou Art, Amazing Grace, How Sweet the Sound and Just As I Am, without One Plea were sung as congregational hymns.

Jeff Francis, Joe Francis, Tom Larson, Dave Usset and Mark Niedenfuer served as casket bearers.

Mrs. Francis died Wednesday, April l9, at Ebenezer Covenant Home.

She was born March 30, 1911, in Minneapolis, the daughter of Joseph and Anna Rudd LeHeup.

She was baptized on July 23, 1911 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. She was confirmed on May 17, 1925, at Fairview Evangelical Lutheran Church in Minneapolis.

She graduated from Minneapolis North High School in 1929.

On April 16, 1930 Doris LeHeup and Charles "Bill" Francis were joined in holy marriage. God blessed their marriage with a son, Charles J. Francis.

Mrs. Francis assisted her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph LeHeup, and later her late husband, Charles "Bill" Francis, with a north Minneapolis grocery business. She later assisted at her family's North American Foods-Holiday Station Store in Rockford for over 20 years.

She was a faithful member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hanover.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Laura Francis; grandchildren: Jeff (Nancy) Francis, Jill (Tom) Larson, Jan (Dave) Usset, Joy (Mark) Niedenfuer, Joe (Sue) Francis; 14 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Francis is preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Charles W. "Bill" Francis July 21, 1994; her son, Charles J. Francis December 9, 1982; her father in 1945 and her mother in 1967; sisters, Shirley, in 1935 and Marjorie in 1974.

Marian F. Lind

Memorial service for Marian F. Lind, 70, of Champlin were Thursday at Gearty-Delmore Robbinsdale Chapel.

Mrs. Lind died after a long illness April 21, 2000.

She will be dearly missed and never forgotten by her husband of nearly 46 years.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years Nils; daughters, Helen Lind, Marta Gray (Christopher); sons, David Lind (Sandy), Erik Lind (Judy); grandchildren, Brian, Sean, Sata, Kari, Rebecca, Brett, Stephanie and Kjirsten; sister, Carol Hiett (Jim); brother, Lloyd Thompson (Anita).

A gifted craftsperson, she designed and created fine miniatures as well as innumerable pieces of art using her knitting and needlework skills.

George Paul Lindenfelser

Services for George Paul Lindenfelser, 41, of Albertville were Monday, April 17, 2000 at St. Albert Catholic Church in Albertville. Rev. Ronald Harrer, OMI, was the Celebrant and interment followed at St. Albert's Cemetery.

Rich Petrowski, Russel Zachman, Chad Vollbrecht, Joe Holland, Ray Mitchell and Tim Berning served as casket bearers.

Sarah Goelz was the organist for the Mass.

Mr. Lindenfelser died Thursday, April 13. He was born in Minneapolis June 29, 1958 the son of Wilfred and Barbara Daluge Lindenfelser. He graduated from St. Michael-Albertville High School in 1976. While in high school, he was on the wrestling team.

On Sept. 10, 1978, Mr. Lindenfelser was joined in holy marriage to Theresa Blue at the Church of Sts. Peter & Paul in Loretto. God blessed their marriage with three children.

Mr. Lindenfelser owned and operated Lindenfelser Flooring. He also was a member of the St. Albert Catholic Church in Albertville.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa M. Lindenfelser; children, Wilfred, Samuel and Nicole, all at home; his parents, Wilfred "Willie" and Barbara Lindenfelser of Richville; brothers and sisters, Jeff (Stacy) Lindenfelser of Monticello, Russ Lindenfelser of Castro Valley, Calif., Randy (Jackie) Lindenfelser of Princeton, Jay (Jenny) Lindenfelser of Monticello, Brenda (Bruce) Nichols of Crystal, Lisa (Neil) Meyer of Albertville, Carmen (Bill) Heidelberger of Maple Grove, Dana (Ron) Walters of Rogers, and Becki (Scott) Berning of Hanover; maternal grandmother, Helen Daluge of Albertville; his mother-in-law, Frances Blue of Loretto; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Rose (Leon) Schumacher of Loretto, Jean (Paul) Filmore of Columbia Heights, Barb (Pat) Stoddard of Rockford, Jeanette (Steve) Luoma of Grand Rapids, Mary (Mike) Stoddard of Rockford, Rod (Sheree) Blue of Loretto, Vicky Blue of Wayzata, Betty Jo (Tim) Reiss of Buffalo, and Rick Blue of Loretto; aunts, uncles and many loving nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Henry and Christine Lindenfelser; maternal grandfather, George Daluge; father-in-law, Perry Blue; and brothers-in-law, Randy Blue and Mike Coyle.

Eileen Morin

Services for Eileen Marie Morin, 91, of Phoenix, Ariz., formerly of Corcoran, were Saturday, April 15, 2000 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Corcoran, with Rev. George Kinney officiating.

Interment was in Holy Trinity cemetery in Winsted, with Rev. Paul Wolf officiating.

Casket bearers were Joe Jansen, Bob Schmidt, David Belz, Joe Morin, LaVern Morin and Gordon Rath.

Mrs. Morin died Monday, April 10, at the Glendale Care Center in Glendale, Ariz.

She was born to John and Lena (Karels) Papberg in Minneapolis April 10, 1908.

Mrs. Morin is survived by her son, Lyle "Smokey" and his wife, Mary Ann Morin of Phoenix; grandson, Gordon Rath of Minnesota; granddaughters, Sheila, Roberta and Rebecca Belz; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

John Daniel Rief

Services for John Daniel Rief, 69, of Buffalo were Wednesday, April 19, 2000 at the Church of St. Peter in Delano.

Sister Mary Butzer officiated and interment was in Calvary Cemetery. Military honors were by the Delano American Legion Post 377 and the Montrose VFW Post 1901.

Mr. Rief died Friday, April 14, 2000 at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia. He was born to Frank J. and Leonora (Koehnen) Rief Nov. 4, 1930 in Chaska.

Mr. Rief was a veteran. He belonged to the Delano American Legion Post 377 and the Montrose VFW Post 1901. Currently, he was the owner/operator of The Squire Inn in Montrose.

Mr. Rief is survived by son, John (Nicole) Rief of Burnsville; daughter, Jennifer Rief and Jason Kramer of Buffalo; brothers, Chester (Lucille) of Georgia, Dale (Jane) of Chaska and Roger (Laura) of Chaska; sisters, Blanche Saull of Colorado and Grace Rief of Chicago; and sisters-in-law, Joan Rief of Shakopee and Ardis Rief of Chaska.
