Carol Reetz-Hayden
Services for Carol Lee Reetz-Hayden, 68, of Kimball were Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000 at the Peterson Chapel St. Michael-Albertville Funeral Home. Chaplain Joel Nathe officiated at the funeral service.
Reader for the service was Kay Schuette. The vocalists were Keith Schroeder and family and Diane Huston. The organist was Marlene Mohwinkel.
Casket bearers for the service were Donna Triechler, Nancy Wotrang, Lorraine Harringer, Cathy Chaplin, Jill Weber, Amy Schroeder, Leslie Kolznar and Debra Nielson.
Mrs. Reetz-Hayden died Wednesday, Nov. 22, at her residence. After a long and courageous fight with cancer, we had to say goodbye, but she will always remain in our hearts as a kind and gentle person who cared about life.
She was born on Aug. 28, 1932, in Danube the daughter of Wesley and Hazel Kuether Schroeder.
Through the years she had served as a Scout Leader and as a Bible School teacher.
She is survived by George Hayden; daughters, Leslie (Gordon) Kolznar, Debra (Brian) Nielson and Annette Geyer; a son, Scott; a brother, Keith (Ellen) Schroeder; eight grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister, a brother and by a son.
A special thank you to Dr. Hauge, the St. Cloud Hospital Hospice Care, and all the friends and relatives who provided their support and love during her illness.
Eva B. Hoverson
Services for Eva B. Hoverson, 93, of Buffalo were Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000 at the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo.
Fr. Charles L. Froehle officiated and interment was in the St. Francis Cemetery in Buffalo.
Mrs. Hoverson died Friday, Nov. 24, 2000 at the Park View Care Center. She was born Dec. 3, 1906 in Lidgerwood, N.D., the daughter of Frank and Mary Franta.
She was joined in marriage to Kenneth Hoverson Dec. 24, 1931. They had one son, Kenneth F. Hoverson. Mrs. Hoverson was a member of the Church of St. Francis in Buffalo.
She is survived by son, Kenneth F. (Jan) Hoverson of Rogers; grandchildren, Tom (Jill) Hoverson of Rogers, Mike (Teresa) Hoverson of Belle Plaine, Tina (Wade) Barkstrom of Milwaukee, Wis., and Steve (Angela) Hoverson of Rogers; 11 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by husband, Kenneth L. Hoverson March 27, 2000; parents; sisters, Regina and Helen; and by a great-grandchild.
Mary Boughton
Services for Mary Kay Boughton, 42, of Rogers were 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 27, 2000, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Long Lake (County Rd. 6 at N. Brown Rd).
Ms. Boughton was born May 24, 1958.
She is preceded in death by father, Bob Boughton; and sister, Kathy. She will be deeply missed by her fiancee and best friend, David Barthel of Rogers; mother, Delores Boughton of Wayzata; sister, Kerry Ogren & husband Don of Minnetonka; nephews, Ryan, Shane and Kevin; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends.

Emma L. Dalbec
Services for Emma L. Dalbec, 94, of Watertown were Saturday, Nov. 18, 2000 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Watertown.
Rev. Paul Krentz and Rev. Jeff Harter officiated and interment was in Elmwood Cemetery in Rockford.
Casket bearers were grandchildren, Keith Kassulker, Kent Kassulker, Kerry Kassulker, Dean Brueggemeier, Beth Robinson, Neal Brueggemeier and Chad Brueggemeier.
Mrs. Dalbec died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2000 at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia. She was born Feb. 14, 1906 in Rockford Township, the daughter of William and Rika (Kuchenbecker) Rux. She was baptized June 3, 1906 and confirmed March 28, 1920 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Pelican Lake.
She married William F. Dalbec Jan. 7, 1923 at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Delano.
She was preceded in death by husband, William F. Dalbec; infant son, Nathan; sons-in-law, Orville Brueggemeier and Gordon Kassulker; parents, William and Rika Rux; brothers, Ben and Art Rux; sister, Ida Gruhling; half-sisters and brothers, Oscar and Emil Rucks, Herman and Laurence Guede, Esther Vergin and Elsie Weege.

Alfred Gratzek
Graveside services for Alfred F. Gratzek, 88, of St. Michael and formerly of St. Cloud, were Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000, at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Sauk Rapids.
Mr. Gratzek died Friday, Nov. 17, at the Delano HealthCare Center. He is survived by wife, Dorothy, of St. Michael, his children and grandchildren.
Justen Green
Services for Justen D. Green, 22, of Rogers were Friday, Nov. 24, 2000, at 2 p.m. at Gearty-Delmore Chapel of Plymouth.
Mr. Green is the son of Jenell and Jamie; grandson of David and Sue Claire. He is also survived by his girlfriend, Dana; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Roland Kelm
Services for Roland J. Kelm, 52, of Minneapolis at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2000, at the Peterson Chapel St. Michael-Albertville Funeral Home. Rev. Peter Klein officiated.
Mr. Kelm died Saturday, Nov. 18, 2000, in Fargo, N.D.
He was born on July 14, 1948, in Minneapolis, the son of Elmer A. and Loretta Ploog Kelm.
Following high school, he attended Anoka Tech for welding and later attended the University of Minnesota.
Mr. Helm was currently employed by Catholic Charities and the Exodus Hotel.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and archery.
He is survived by his children, Stacey (Joe) Seidel of Albertville, Deanna Kelm of Champlin and Brandon Kelm of Moundsview; grandchildren, Bobbi Tyra, Danielle Brown, Beth Riggs, Nikki Riggs, Austin Seidel and Ashton Seidel; a brother, Duane (Nancy) Kelm of Excelsior; and a sister, Jean Neumann of St. Michael.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by his first wife, Janice.
James Loberg
Services for James Norman Loberg, 56, of Buffalo were Saturday, Nov. 18, 2000 at the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo.
Pastor Edward A. Blair officiated and interment with military rites followed at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Casket bearers were members of the American Legion Post 270.
Mr. Loberg died Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2000 at the VA Medical Center in St. Cloud. He was born Nov. 23, 1943 in Cambridge, Ohio, the son of Melvin and Evelyn Eccles Loberg.
Mr. Loberg honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He was joined in marriage to Linnea Eklund Aug. 7, 1999, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo.
He was an over-the-road trucker for Loberg Trucking and was also a machinist at Advance Machine. He was also a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo. He was a proud father and husband.
Mr. Loberg is survived by wife, Linnea J. Loberg; daughter, Lisa Leann (Chris) Linnerud of Merrifield; brothers, Les (Eve) Peura of Finlayson and Jack (Cynthia) Peura of Buffalo; sisters, Patricia (Michael) Eberle of Maple Grove and Cheryl Peura of Bloomington; uncle, Daryl Eccles; aunt, Marcella Idleman; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by father, Melvin Norman Loberg July 6, 1988; mother, Evelyn Augusta Loberg July 7, 1974 and step-father, Einar Michael Peura June 29, 1991.
Norbert O. May
Services for Norbert May, 82, of Rockford and formerly of Corcoran were Saturday, Nov. 11, 2000, at St. Thomas The Apostle Church in Corcoran. Rev. George R. Kinney was the Celebrant and interment followed at St. Jeanne de Chantel Cemetery in Corcoran.
Honorary casket bearers were Michael May, Lucas May and Chad Kenney.
Casket bearers were Joshua May, Jason May, Staesn Rudenick, Scott Kenney, Nathan Kenney and Jeromy May.
Mr. May died Wednesday, Nov. 8, at the Howard Lake Good Samaritan Nursing Home in the arms of his family.
He was born May 9, 1918, in Corcoran the son of Joseph and Stephanie Westholter May.
He honorably served his country in the United States Army during WWII as a member of the 10th Armored Division.
On June 15, 1944, Norbert May and Adeline DeMars were joined in holy marriage at St. Jeanne de Chantel Catholic Church in rural Corcoran.
Mr. May was a longtime chicken farmer near Burschville and dressed chickens for many restaurants. In addition, the May family operated Norb's Drive In at Hwy. 55 and County Rd. 19 in Loretto for six years. The main attraction was their chicken baskets.
He was also a garbage man for Boyer's Sanitation in Loretto for 12 years. He later worked for the Van Deusan Company in Plymouth.
He is survived by his wife, Adeline May; children, LaVonne "Vonnie" M. (Phillip) O'Brien of Rogers, Arlen J. May of Delano, Sharon A. (Steve) Rudenick of Long Lake, Lynette M. (Jerry) Kenney of Buffalo, Ron N. (Debbie) May of Deerwood and Joyce E. (Duke) Mack of Rockford; 21 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister and brother, Blanche (Matt) Waschek of Foley and Roman May of Loretto; many other relatives and friends.
Mr. May was preceded in death by two infant sons; an infant daughter; a grandson, Shayde Rudenick; a sister, Aurea Sexton and a brother, Clem May.
Patricia R. Raskob
Services for Patricia R. Raskob, 71 of Medina, were Monday, Nov. 20, 2000, at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus. Mrs. Raskob died peacefully at home from pancreatic cancer.
She co-founded and co-owned the Medina Ballroom for 31 years. She was a volunteer and major fund-raiser for the Hamel Lions Club, active with the Chamber of Commerce and supporter of the Hamel Fire Dept. and the athletic club. She was an NRA member since the ninth-grade. Mrs. Raskob was an antique dealer and an avid garage saler.
She is survived by husband, Joseph; son, John Raskob; daughter, Mary Jo and husband Steve Kvistad; son, Tony and wife Sharon Raskob; daughter, Suzie and husband Dave Sween; grandchildren, Maesa, Dusti, Tait, Chance, Avaran, Matthew, Jacob, Haley and Joselyn; siblings, Dr. George Deziel, Richard Deziel, Lorraine Weber, William Deziel and Jeanne Lindenfelser; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.
Jerome Votava
Services for Jerome "Jerry" Votava, 85, of Cashel, N.D., were Monday, Nov. 27, 2000 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Oakwood, N.D., with burial in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were Todd Mattson, Jerry Paul Votava, Randy Votava, Dan Young, Douglas Swehla, Kevin Oswald and Lorne Duppong.
Mr. Votava died Wednesday, Nov. 22, at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton, N.D. He was born Feb. 1, 1915 the son of Frank J. and Cecilia (Matcha) Votava in Veseleyville, N.D. He moved with his family to Grafton where he attended school. On Nov. 5, 1934 he was united in marriage to Helena Deschenes in Oakwood. The couple lived in Cashel where he owned Jerome Votava and Son Construction. He also worked for the railroad and area farmers.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and plying cards with family and friends. He was a baseball fan and made dumplings and kolaches. He is known by his family and friends as the Mayor of Cashel.
Mr. Votava is survived by daughters JoAnn (Roger Mattson of Cashel, Rosemary (Bryon) Watterud of Bismarck, and Marjorie (Joe) Ellefson of Mandan; son Dennis (Linda) of Maple Grove, nine grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; brother James (Mary) of Grafton; and sister Emma Schanilec of Grafton.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helena; daughter Helena Jean Votava; parents; two grandsons; a granddaughter; four brothers and four sisters.
George Westlund
George L. Westlund, 86, of Maple Grove, formerly Minneapolis, died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2000.
At the request of the family, no memorial service will be held. Private interment was at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
He is survived by loving wife, Marjorie; children, George, Carol and husband Chester Johnson, Marilyn and husband Jerry Gilbert, Diane Carpentier and John and wife Barbara; and six grandchildren.
Adair Erickson
Services for Adair M. Erickson, 84, of Maple Grove were Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2000 at Redeemer Covenant Church, Brooklyn Blvd., Minneapolis.
Burial was in Crystal Lake Cemetery.
Mrs. Erickson died Saturday, Nov. 18.
She was preceded in death by her son David.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Curtis; children Dorothy (Will) Rogers, Daniel (Sandy), Dale (Lana), Dwight (Linda) and Dean (Ann Marie); 16 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; brothers, Ralph (Marilyn) Olson and Charles (Jean) Olson; sister, Dorothy Nelson; brother-in-law, John A. Erickson; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Lillian Hanson (Corbin)
Services for Lillian M. Hanson (Corbin), 84, of Minneapolis and formerly of Rogers were Saturday, Nov. 19, 2000, at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Minneapolis.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Leonard; mother Kathryn (Milless) Corbin and father, Walter Corbin.
She is survived by children Kathleen (Duncan) Malloch, Karen Hanson (Bob Ostlund), Cheryl Hunt, Glenn Hanson, Marcia Anderson, Marilyn (Steve) Rickson and Wendy (Thomas) Cox; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Marion Temple, Phyllis Smith and Verna (Pat) Mettheisen.
