Eileen T. Kimble

Services for Eileen T. Kimble, 68, of St. Michael, were Friday, Oct. 27, 2000, at the Peterson Chapel St. Michael-Albertville Funeral Home.

Rev. Delburn Kurtz officiated and interment followed at the Calvary Cemetery in Delano.

Mrs. Kimble died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2000 at the Buffalo Hospital. She was born Nov. 12, 1931 in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Edwin and Loretta Waters Hohman.

She was joined in marriage to James Kimble May 28, 1960 in Chicago. They had one daughter.

She was preceded in death by parents; sister, Cecelia Wilcox and brother, William Hohman.

Mrs. Kimble is survived by husband, James A. Kimble; daughter, Cheryl (John) Minor of Delano; grandchildren, Travis and Meghan Minor; brother, Edwin Hohman of Montgomery, Ill.; other relatives and friends.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.

Fred Lind

Services for Fred W. Lind, 62, of Osseo were Monday, Nov. 6, 2000 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 710 E. Broadway St., Osseo.

Burial was in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.

Mr. Lind was born Oct. 29, 1938 in Kulm, N.D. He died Thursday, Nov. 2, in Robbinsdale.

He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Osseo and was a United States Air Force Veteran.

He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Lind.

Survivors include his wife, Rose M.; sons, Steven of Minneapolis and Michael (Dawn) of Rogers; grandsons, Ryan and Adam; mother, Dorothy Lind of Jamestown, N.D.; brothers, Bob of Andover, Harold of Brooklyn Center, Darwin of Crystal Lake, Ill. and Larry of Osseo.

Memorials may be given to the Fred W. Lind Memorial Fund.

Harold Schutte

Harold Schutte, who honorably served the city of Corcoran for 24 years, has died at the age of 82.

He was on the Corcoran City Council from 1969 to 1980 and later served as Corcoran's mayor from 1981 to 1992.

He was also a member of the Northwest Suburban Chamber of Commerce and received the President's Award in 1989. He was voted Hennepin County's "Outstanding Senior Citizen" in 1992. Mr. Schutte was also an active member in The Farm Bureau, The North Hennepin Pioneer Society and the Midland Co-op.

Mr. Schutte died Friday, Oct. 27. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2000, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Maple Grove. The Rev. Steven C. Briel and the Rev. Loel A. Wessel officiated. Interment followed at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.

Casket bearers were Eric Schutte, Adam Schutte, Jay Schutte, Jon Schutte, Tim Bechtold and Phil Schutte.

Mr. Schutte was born on June 27, 1918, in Corcoran, the son of Henry and Emma Oswald Schutte.

He was baptized Aug. 4, 1918, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Corcoran. He was also instructed in the Lutheran Catechism and confirmed in the Christian faith by the Rev. H. R. Klemp April 10, 1932, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. His confirmation memory verses were Revelation 2:10 - "Be thou faithful unto death" and 2 Peter 3:18 - "Grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."

Mr. Schutte remained faithful to the promises he made at his confirmation all his life and died a lifetime member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church.

As a young man, he attended St. John's Lutheran School. He graduated from Osseo High School in 1937.

On June 16, 1946, Harold Schutte and Margaret Bechtold were joined in holy marriage at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Greenwood Township.

Rev. W. P. Haar officiated at the marriage ceremony. God blessed their marriage with eight children.

Mr. Schutte engaged in dairy farming on the family's homestead for many years.

As a faithful member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, he served on the Church Council, was a former Elder and Sunday School teacher and sang in the church choir for years.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and making music with his twin brother, Donald.

Mr. Schutte is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Margaret L. Schutte; children, Wayne (Carol) Schutte of Rogers, Gloria (Harlen) Fischer of Mapleton, Paul Schutte of Corcoran, Mark Schutte of Rogers, Tom (Lynn) Schutte of Corcoran, Craig (Linda) Schutte of Rogers and Joel (Lisa) Schutte of Corcoran; a daughter-in-law, Susan Schutte of Corcoran; 13 loving grandchildren, Eric (Amy), Adam, Jay, Jon, Megan, Gina, Jacob, Hannah, Brent, Madeline, Samuel, Eleanor and Olivia; a twin brother, Donald (Helene) Schutte of Corcoran, a brother, Oliver (Pat) Schutte of California; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Fran Schutte Shaw of California, Caroline Schutte of Maple Grove, Marguerite Bechtold of New Hope, Willmar (Caroline) Bechtold of New Hope and Bernice Bechtold of Loretto; many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a son, Steven Schutte; and by his brothers, Ted and Alvin.

Lucas Owen Steyer

Services for Lucas Owen Steyer, the infant son of Raymond II and Christina Steyer, were Sunday, Nov. 5, 2000, at the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo.

Pastor John Farina officiated.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Raymond Steyer and maternal grandfather, Alfred W. Kelley, TSG, RTD, USAF.

Lucas was born and died Friday, Oct. 20, 2000. He is survived by parents, Ray and Christy Steyer of Rockford; brothers and sisters, William C. Steyer, Andrew J. Steyer, Elizabeth A. Steyer, John J. Bettis, Neva D. Bettis, Katelyn J. Bettis and Christopher J. Steyer; paternal grandmother, Jeane Steyer of Rockford; maternal grandmother, Chriselda J. Kelley of Kansas City, Mo. and step-maternal grandfather, Harrell E. Green of Kansas City, Mo.

Patricia Zins-Starrett

Services for Patricia Julia Zins-Starrett, 65, of Minneapolis and Rogers, were Friday, Nov. 3, 2000, at the American Legion in Osseo.

She is preceded in death by her father, Henry Brennan; mother, Blanche Brennan; and sister, Margaret Kesller.

She is survived by children, Margie (John), Marlys (Rick), Mark (Gaby), Linda, John and Rodney; grandchildren, Bradley, Michael, Teresa, Melissa, Rita, Terri, Sherri, Nicole, Nadja, Daniel and Richard; one great-grandchild, Latisia; sister-in-law, Micki Hess; many nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.

Arvin Aeshliman

Services for Arvin Aeshliman, 82, of Garrsion, Minn., were Friday, Oct. 27 at the Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church in Garrison.

He was born Sept. 26, 1918 in Loretto to John and Edith(Loeffler) Aeshliman. He graduated from Rockford High School and enlisted in the Army during WWII. He served as a Tech. Sgt. with the 47th Engineers Construction Batt. Co. C. He received the Meritorius Service Plaque, the Good Conduct Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Services Medal, the American Defense Medal and 7 overseas service bars.

He resided in Osseo most of life and worked as a stock analyst for the John Deere Co. He married Carole Paul on April 14, 1978 in Osseo. They retired and moved to Garrison in 1979.

He was a member of the Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church, the Osseo American Legion Club and was a charter member of the Garrison VFW Andrew Kokesh Post NO. 2747.

He is survived by his wife Carole; daughters Bonnie Traut of Wayzata, and Jean Merriam of Minneapolis; 2 granddaughters and 1 great-grandson; a step daughter Karen Kellar of Osseo and 2 step sons Gary Cook (Amy) of Athens, Texas and Todd (Kate) Cook of Ramsey; 11 step-grandchildren and 3 step great-grandchildren; also brothers John of Loretto and Donald of Osseo.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Creone, his parents and a sister.

Lillian Ahlberg

Services for Lillian M. Ahlberg, 77, of Maple Grove were Thursday, Oct. 26, 2000 at 11 a.m. at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home, 6000 Brooklyn Blvd., Brooklyn Center.

She was preceded in death by husband, William; parents, James and Lillian Deach of St. Paul; brother and sister-in-law, James and Louis Deach of Carson City, Nevada and sister, Fern Klotz of St. Paul.

Survivors include sons and daughter-in-law, David and Jeanne Ahlberg of Denver, Colo., Dennis Ahlberg; daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Richard Weikle and Pauline and Don Peterson of Chicago; sisters, Blanche Baker of Denver, Colo., Rose Herberg of Littleton, Colo., nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild soon-to-be born.

Kenneth Anderson

Services for Kenneth R. (Kenny) Anderson, 51, Brooklyn Park were Monday, Oct. 30, 2000 from Evans-Nordby Funeral Home, 34 Second St. N.E., Osseo.

Burial was in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.

Mr. Anderson died Thursday, Oct. 26, in Osseo. He was born July 14, 1949.

He was a member of Maple Grove Assembly of God Church. He was a decorated Marine Vietnam veteran and owner of KenMar Utilities. Inc.

He was preceded in death by his father Howard.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn; children Jennifer, Mandy (Brad) Lamberger and Justin; mother, Winnie Anderson; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Sherry; sister and brother-in-law, Barb and Gary Carl; grandson Riley and survived many family and friends.

Roman Eckes

Services for Roman G. Eckes, 82, of Osseo were Monday, Oct. 30, 2000 at 10:30 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 9100 93rd Ave. N., Brooklyn Park.

Burial was in the church cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys and his brother, Vernon.

Survivors include his sisters and brother-in-law, Bernice Vetsch of Albertville, Helen Trombley of Osseo and Loretta (Jerry) Munn of Monticello; sisters-in-law, LaVern Bauer and Irene (Kenny) Gardner; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorials may be given to the Roman G. Eckes Memorial Fund.

Hazel R. Otterdahl Foede

Services for Hazel R. Otterdahl Foede, 86, of Montrose were Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2000 at the United Methodist Church in Montrose.

Rev. Marvin E. Repinski officiated and interment followed at the Bloomington Cemetery.

Casket bearers were Dale Otterdahl, Kirk Otterdahl, Nick Boggs, Scott Stebbins, Andy Otterdahl and Nick Vergin.

Mrs. Foede died Saturday, Oct. 21, 2000 at the Howard Lake Good Samaritan Home. She was born Jan. 29, 1914 in Kingston, the daughter of Willie and Minnie Weberg Norgren. She was joined in marriage to Wally Foede Sept. 10, 1978 in Sisseton, S.D.

Through the years, she owned and operated restaurants in Minneapolis and later operated Hazel's Eat Shop in Rockford. Mrs. Foede and her husband raised strawberries. She also enjoyed visiting with people, cooking, camping and fishing.

She is survived by husband, Wally Foede; children, Duane (Kay) Otterdahl of Bloomington, Dennis (Shelby) Otterdahl of Montrose, Shirley Ring of Dayton, Sharon (Rex) LePage of Bloomington and Tom Otterdahl of Bloomington and special friend Sue; 21 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; step-children, Glen "Butch" (Sherri) Foede of Montrose, Sharon (Reinhold) Vergin of Rockford and James Foede of Montrose and special friend, Linda; brother-in-law; five sisters-in-law and many special nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by first husband, Nanford Bert Otterdahl in 1971; sister, Myrtle Tilseth; brothers, Willard, Reuben and Walter Norgren and daughter-in-law, Dawn Otterdahl.

The family gives special thanks to the Howard Lake Good Samaritan Center and its staff.

James Kane

Graveside services for James A. Kane, 70, of Osseo will be today (Wednesday) Nov. 1, 2000 at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.

Pall bearers were Mike Kane, Mike Spence, Richard Hatten, Mike Hatten, Al Hatten and Pat Hatten.

Mr. Kane died Friday, Oct. 27, at Bethesda Lutheran Hospital. He was born Feb. 8, 1930 in Minneapolis to Miles L. Kane and Lillian Jean (Smith).

He served in the Air Force from 1951 to 1955. He was a retired regional manager for Eaton Corp.

Mr. Kane was preceded in death by his parents, Miles and Jean Kane and brother, Patrick Kane.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Betty; son, Mickey (Karen); daughters Kim Spence, Kelly Lysne (Jeff), former daughters-in-law, Deb and Connie Kane; former, son-in-law, Mike Spence; grandchildren, Carrie, Bradley, Christopher, Jonathon and Jack Kane, Tyler and Jenna Lysne; step-grandson, Mike; great-grandson, Devon Kane; sister, Gael Ross (Vernon); aunt, Lucille Kane; niece, Terri Lu Kane; and four-legged companion, Bootsie.

George Adolph Kyro

Services for George Adolph Kyro, 78 of Champlin, were Friday, Oct. 27, 2000.

He was born May 17, 1922, in Rolette, N.D.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; son Michael (Carmen); daughters, Marcia (Rod) Nelson, Anita (Steve) Hiel and Carolyn Kyro; seven grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorials are preferred to the George A. Kyro Memorial Fund.

Dick Grover

Services for Richard A. "Dick" Grover, 58, of Hanover were at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, 2000, at St. Michael Catholic Church in St. Michael.

Rev. Leonard Siebenaler was the celebrant and interment followed at the Elmwood Cemetery in Rockford.

Casket bearers were Bruce Grover, Ron Nelson, Kelly Logan, Richard Logan, Noel Grover and Maurice Grover.

Mr. Grover died Monday, Oct. 23, at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.

He was born July 14, 1942, in Pine City the son of John and Anna (Miller) Grover.

He graduated from Pine City High School in 1960.

On Jan. 30, 1965, Mr. Grover and Patricia "Patty" Anderson were joined in holy marriage at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Plymouth.

He currently was the President and Owner of Anderson Iron Works and was a past treasurer and director of the St. Paul Builders Exchange.

He was an avid hunter, fisherman and an active member of the M.A.O. Club.

Mr. Grover was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church. He was also a former Hanover City Council member and a former member of the Hanover Lion's Club.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia "Patty" Grover; his children, Dion (Dawn) Grover of Elk River, Monique (Leon) Anda of Coon Rapids, Vance P. (Tami) Grover of Fort Payne, Ala. and Melaina (David Ulrich) Grover of Fridley; grandchildren, Samantha and Sydni Grover; Austin and Cory Anda; and Alexi Grover; three sisters; four brothers; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dennis and Betty Anderson; many other relatives and friends.

Mr. Grover was preceded in death by his father in 1974, his mother in 1989 and by a brother, John, in 1992.
