Preston and Dorothy Morell

Preston and Dorothy Morell of Cable, Wis., formerly of Maple Grove, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001 at their home.

Memorial services were Saturday, Feb. 17, at the Anderson-Nathan Funeral Home in Hayward, Wis.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the North End Ski Club, P.O. Box 192, Cable, Wis. 54821.

Maynard Johnson

Services for Maynard Johnson, of Champlin, were Saturday, Feb. 17 at the Cremation Society of Minnesota in Brooklyn Park.

He died Feb. 11 after a two-and-a-half month hospital stay with many complications.

He was the proud owner of Shell and Skelly Oil service station business and was a volunteer in many nursing homes. He was the no. 1 NASCAR fan of Dale Ernhardt. Maynard will be missed for his humor and stay-at-home dad role. He will be remembered for his strength and courage for fighting many years of health issues.

He is survived by wife, Carla; daughters, Tammy (Bryan) and Kelsey; and son, Cody; father-in-law, Cliff; sister-in-law, Amy (Drew); grandsons, Tanner and Connor; nephews, Troy and Tyler. He also is survived by supportive neighbors and friends and missed by best friend, John and pet, Maggie.

The family sends special thanks to Drs. Doedan; Teynor; Sommermeyer; Martin; Idelkope; and the ICU staff at Methodist Hospital.

Memorials to family for education fund for Kelsey and Cody. No flowers please.

Joanne M. Faue

Services for Joanne M. Faue, 47, of Brooklyn Park were Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001 at Maple Grove Lutheran Church, County Rd. 30 and Elm Creek Blvd.

Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery.

She was a member of Maple Grove Lutheran Church and owner of Jo's taxes in Brooklyn Park.

Mrs. Faue was born Dec. 29, 1953 in Fosston. She died Tuesday, Feb. 6.

She was preceded in death by her parents Georg and Marion Bauer.

Survivors include her husband Arnold; brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Ginger of Church Falls, Va.; nephew Mike Bauer of Church Falls, Va. and other relatives and friends.

Memorials may be given to the Joanne M. Faue Memorial Fund.

William "Bill" Grishaber

Services for William "Bill" Grishaber, 54, of Champlin were Wednesday, Feb. 7 at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home in Osseo. Interment is at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

He was born Nov. 13, 1946, in Oshkosh, Wis.

He is survived by his son Adam of Brooklyn Park; daughter Samantha Dinville of Osseo; mother Rita; sister Carla of Appleton, Wis.; grandson Jesse and beloved pet Jack the cat.

Memorials are preferred to the William "Bill" Grishaber memorial fund.

Scott Lofthus

Services for Scott W. Lofthus, 44, of Maple Grove were Friday, Feb. 9, 2001 at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 6900 W. Fish Lake Rd., Maple Grove.

Burial was in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery, Brooklyn Park.

Mr. Lofthus was a partner in the Sjostrom & Lofthus law firm. He was an active member and past president of Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Maple Grove. He was also active in Christian Legal Aid. He was a graduate of Marquette University and University of North Dakota Law School. He enjoyed coaching his son, Sam, and other youth in Maple Grove basketball and baseball.

Mr. Lofthus spent his summers playing golf and especially enjoyed the annual golf outing with his brother and first cousins.

Survivors include his wife, Jolene and son, Samuel; parents, Wendell and Winnifred Lofthus; brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Marian; father-in-law, Marvin Heitkamp; mother-in-law, Lorie Heitkamp; sisters-in-law, Connie Nowotny and husband Kevin, and Michelle Loosbrock and husband Chad; brother-in-law, Jeff Heitkamp and wife Kristi; nephews, Cole, Tanner, Brett and Nathan; nieces, Emma, Dani and Taylor; godchildren, Emma, Nathan and Richard Sather; many other relatives and friends.

Memorials preferred to Lord of Life Lutheran Church, Maple Grove.

George Tuckenhagen

Services for George Thomas Tuckenhagen, 71, of Waverly were Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2001 at the Church of St. Mary in Waverly.

Fr. Robert Wiley was the celebrant and interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Casket bearers were Robert Wicht, Robert Decker, Dean Schermann, Everett Boehlke, Duane Remer and Harold Reardon.

Mr. Tuckenhagen died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2001 at his residence after a short illness. He was born Oct. 25, 1929 in Waverly, the son of John "Jack" and Norene Fuller Tuckenhagen.

He graduated from St. Mary's Catholic High School in Waverly in 1948. He was married to Monica Schwitalla Oct. 26, 1950 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Delano. The couple had four sons and one daughter.

He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Waverly for many years. He was formerly employed as a truck driver and enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially duck and deer hunting.

Mr. Tuckenhagen is survived by wife, Monica; sons, Thomas (Lynda) Tuckenhagen of Anoka, Terry Tuckenhagen of Cokato, Timothy (Terry) Tuckenhagen of Isanti and Troy Tuckenhagen of Zimmerman; daughter, Tammy (Harry) Wirgau of Mora; grandchildren, Todd, Tonya, Tracy, Dessie, Tillie, Tony and Gina; great-grandchildren, Jason and Justin; sisters, Barbara Reeves of Corbin, Ky., and Sue Tuckenhagen of Buffalo; aunt, Mildred Fuller of Richmond, Va.; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by parents; brother, William Tuckenhagen; and sister, Mary LaRoche.

Walter Otto Weege

Services for Walter Otto Weege, 81, of Montrose were Thursday, Feb. 8, 2001 at the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo.

Pastor Robert J. Hellman officiated and interment was in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Crawford Lake.

Casket bearers were Melvin Greehling, Roger Vanderlinde, Louis Ordorff, Glen Ramthun, Willard Oestreich and Wayne Weege.

Mr. Weege died Monday, Feb. 5, 2001 at Buffalo Hospital. He was born March 6, 1919 in Rockford Township, the son of Otto and Lena Schirr Weege. He was baptized April 6, 1919 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Crawford Lake and was instructed in the Lutheran Catechism and confirmed in the Christian faith Aug. 13, 1933 at the church.

He was united in marriage to Selma Greehling June 7, 1950 at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pelican Lake.

Through the years, Mr. Weege engaged in farming near Perham. He also had a can milk route, worked for the county highway department and in later years at the Kelly & Kelly Nursery in Long Lake. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church.

He is survived by wife, Selma E. Weege; sister, Evelyn Klemz of Buffalo; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Mr. Weege was preceded in death by parents; brothers, Edwin and Howard Weege; and sister, Ethel Greehling.

Donald Beck

Services for Donald R. Beck, 81, of Sun City, Ariz., formerly of Brooklyn Park were Thursday, Feb. 1, 2001 at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home in Osseo.

Burial was at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.

Mr. Beck was born March 8, 1919 in Minneapolis. He died Friday, Jan. 26, in Sun City, Ariz.

He was a member of the Champlin American Legion Post 600 and Crystal VFW Post 494.

He was preceded in death by his wife Eleanor.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Linda Beck; daughter, Donnelle Peterson; sister, Wilma Wargin; grandchildren, Donald R. Peterson and Lisa; Kris Erickson an Steve, Dan Beck, Jay Beck and Barbara, Billy Beck and Christabell; great-grandchildren, Sarie, Soren, Anders and Anna Erickson; Alexis and Kaitlin Peterson and Cole Beck.

Clarence Bobendrier

Services for Clarence H. Bobendrier Sr., 86, of Albertville were Friday, Feb. 2, 2001 at 2 p.m. at Dare's Funeral Home, 805 Main Street, Elk River.

Mr. Bobendrier was Past Master of Sherburne Lodge 95 A.F.& A.M.

Survivors include his wife, Florence; son, Clarence Jr.; daughters, Luella (Doyle) Miller and Susan Merriweather; stepsons, Larry (Linda), Ricky (Barbara) and Randy Menzel; brother, Peter (Bernice) Bobendrier; sisters, Luella Schenk and Jeanette Leerssen; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter; five step-grandchildren.

Memorials to donor's choice.

Cecelia Cardinal

Services for Cecelia (Sally) Cardinal, 85, of St. Michael were Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2001 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Brooklyn Park.

Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Cardinal died Friday, Feb. 2, in Coon Rapids. She was born Dec. 21, 1915 in St. Michael.

She was preceded in death by her husband Fred; son, Roger and daughter Mary Ann.

Survivors include children Richard (Betty) Cardinal, Bill (Darlene) Cardinal, Rosemary (Gordon) Gjerstad, Don (Betty Ann) Cardinal, Delores Severson, Gary (Ruth Ann) Cardinal, Jerome Cardinal, Robert (Melanie) Cardinal, James (Terri) Cardinal, Donna (Joe) Kasper; sister, Irene Mischler, 19 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter and other relatives and friends.

Memorials preferred to the Cecelia Cardinal Memorial Fund.

Margaret Jean Swartzer

Services for Margaret Jean Swartzer, 7 months, of Loretto were Friday, Jan. 26, 2001 at the Church of St. Mary in Waverly.

Fr. Robert Wiley was the celebrant.

Margaret died Monday, Jan. 22, 2001. She was born June 21, 2000, in Buffalo, the daughter of Jacob and Alison Furber Swartzer.

She is survived by her parents; sister, Katherine Mary Swartzer; paternal grandparents, Tony and Sandy Swartzer of Montrose; maternal grandparents, Allan and Felicity Furber of Bloomington; paternal great-grandparents, Ralph and Shirley Gallus of Montrose and Susan Swartzer of Delano; aunts and uncles, Nicole and Chad, Bridget (Godmother) and Chris, Erin, Meagan, Patrick (Godfather) and Allan; cousins, Hattie and Elisabeth and Alex; other relatives and friends.

Memorials are suggested for Children's Hospice or to Delano Early Childhood Family Education.

Howard Beyel

Services for Howard E. (Howie) Beyel, 71, of Oak Grove, formerly of Champlin, were Friday, Oct. 12, 2001, at Thurston-Lindberg Chapel, Anoka.

Pastor Rick Peterson officiated.

Private interment.

Mr. Beyel died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2001, at his home in Oak Grove. He was born the son of Fred and Dorothy (Ferencz) Beyel Nov. 30, 1939, in Queens, N.Y. He married Charlene May Loveland.

Mr. Beyel was a retired MTC driver.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Dorothy Beyel.

Survivors include his wife Charlene; children, Andrew (Lynn) of Richfield, Jessica Johnson of Brooklyn Park, Erica Johnson of Champlin, Kathy Beyel of Oak Grove; five grandchildren; sister, Raejean Limongelli of New York; mother-in-law, Lorraine Loveland of Minneapolis; niece and nephew, Stacy and John both of New York; many other relatives and friends and special friends, Larry Rolf, Maury Cooper, Garry Morris and Jerry Johnson.

Delores Fenney

Services for Delores Fenney, 79, of Loretto were Sunday, Oct. 14, 2001, at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Loretto.

Interment was in Calvary Cemetery.

Mrs. Fenney was preceded in death by husband, Angus "Gus." She is survived by three daughters, Elaine (Robert) Sillerud, Carol (Stephen) Barrett, and Diane (Ed), Ori; one son, James (Darlene) Fenney; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, John (Florence) Otto; and one sister, Louise Zabel.

Inez Gasper

Services for Inez Gasper, 72, formerly of Rockford and St. Michael were Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2001, at Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo. Rev. Edward A. Blair officiated and interment followed at Elmwood Cemetery in Rockford.

Mrs. Gasper died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2001, at Guardian Angels Nursing Home in Elk River.

She was born in Rockford March 17, 1929, the daughter of George and Vivian Bugbee Vail.

She was joined in holy marriage with Lloyd R. Gasper June 7, 1947 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Buffalo by Rev. E. R. Berwald. God blessed their marriage with three children.

Mrs. Gasper was a former member of the garden club, a former choir member at the United Presbyterian Church and formerly belonged to American Legion Post # 628's Auxiliary and to the Kitchen Band, all in Rockford.

She was employed for 15 years as a meat cutter at North American Foods in Rockford.

She is survived by her children, Greg (Arlene) Gasper of St. Michael, Nina (Dave) Neidenfeur of Dallas, Texas, and Tim (Jan) Gasper of Zimmerman; grandchildren, Jerod Gasper, James (Traci) Gasper, Sarah (Allen) Torgenson, Kevin Neidenfeur, Stacy Gasper and Cindy Gasper; great-grandchildren, Madyson and Cole, brothers-in-law, Marvin Gasper and Victor Gasper; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Theise; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Vivian Vail; husband, Lloyd R. Gasper Dec. 12, 1976; two infant daughters, Gretchen Gasper and infant baby girl; brothers, Clarence Vail and Howard Vail; and sisters, Adeline Munstenteiger and Marion Gasper.
