Raymond J. Jaspers

Services for Raymond J. Jaspers, 87, of Albertville, and formerly of Eden, S.D. were Funeral services will be Friday, Oct. 12, 2001, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Henry Catholic Church of Monticello with Rev. Tim Rudolphi officiating.

Mr. Jaspers died Sunday morning Oct. 7, 2001, at the Buffalo Hospital of Buffalo.

Funeral arrangements are with the Peterson Grimsmo Chapel of Monticello.

Mr. Jaspers was born June 9, 1914, in St. Bernard, Neb. to Frank and Mary (Heiman) Jaspers. At the age of 6, he moved with his family to the Eden, S.D. area. He farmed all of this life in the Eden area. He was involved in cattle, crop and pig farming operations.

He was united in marriage to Vivian Keintz at the Sacred Heart Church of Eden, S.D. June 27, 1939. He served as a township supervisor of Eden Township for three years and as the Eden Township Treasurer for 37 years. He was a longtime member of the Foresters and also the Knights of Columbus.

In August 1987 he and his wife moved to St. Michael. Since September l998 the couple had made their home in Albertville. Since his retirement, he enjoyed various crafts, gardening and music.

He is survived by his wife, Vivian; daughter, Monica (Dale) Wald of Albertville; son, Darius (Angela) Jaspers of Prior Lake; brother, Wilfred Jaspers of Eden, S.D., 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; eight brothers, Joseph, Math, Chris, Frank, Florence, Alois, Henry and Edwin; a sister, Annie Jaspers; two infant siblings; nephew, James Jaspers; grandson, Brian Jaspers and his wife, Dena; and great-grandson Joshua Jaspers.

Thomas E. Janutka

Services for Thomas E. Janutka, 66, of Champlin, were Monday, Oct. 22, 2001, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Brooklyn Park. He died Thursday, Oct. 18, in Champlin.

Mr. Janutka was born Aug. 30, 1935, in Montgomery, Minn.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; his son, Steven (Janelle); sister, Barbara Bambenek; his mother, Severine Janutka; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas L.

He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Alfredo G. Junsay

Services for Alfredo G. Junsay, 33, of Champlin., were 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2001, at the Crystal LDS Stake Center, 2801 Douglas Dr. Interment was in Lakewood Cemetery.

He was survived by his wife, Martha; pug dog, Chumley; mother, Josefina Junsay; brothers, Joseph Junsay (Sarah), Conrado Junsay (Michelle), and Jowi Junsay; grandmother, Consuelo Gandionco; sisters-in-law, Madelyn Anderson (Justin), Mary Duncombe (Mitch), and Minam Hawton; brothers-in-law, Matt Hawton (Amy), Mick Hawton (Roxane), Mark Hawton (Heather) and Micah Hawton; five nieces, eight nephews; other family and friends.

Arrangements were handled by Gearty-Delmore Robbinsdale Chapel, 39th & West Broadway.

Roy Kjelland

Services for Roy D. Kjelland, 83, of Champlin, formerly of Fargo were Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2001 at 10 a.m. with a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 5th and Jackson St., Anoka.

Private interment Ft Snelling National Cemetery.

Mr. Kjelland was preceded in death by parents, six brothers, one great-granddaughter.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred; three daughters; two sons; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister and nieces and nephews.

Rev. Albert A. Kosower

Services for Rev. Albert A. Kosower, United Church of Christ pastor, will be Monday, Oct. 15, 2001, at 11 a.m. at his former parish, St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Delano. Rev. Jeff Hageman will officiate.

Rev. Kosower died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2001, while residing at the Church of the Beautitudes Campus of Care in Phoenix, Ariz. He was born in 1913 in Cleveland, Ohio.

He graduated from Western Reserve University in 1935, Lancaster Theological Seminary in 1939 and did graduate work at Oberlin College, Ohio and Union Theological Seminary in New York City. He was pastor of churches in Sharpsville, Penn.; Rimersburg, Penn.; Brooklyn, N.Y.; Marshallville, Ohio; East Canton, Ohio; Loudonville, Ohio; Lisbon, Ohio; Cleveland, Ohio; Delano and Freeborn, Minn. Rev. Kosower faithfully served his Lord and was greatly loved by the congregations he served.

At the Beautitudes Campus of Care he continued his pastoral duties by helping others, and he often assisted in chapel services. Even following death, he continued to help others by having donated his body to science.

Rev. Kosower had many interests and loved classical music, astronomy, fishing and sports. He married Rosemma MacWheeler of Sharpsville, Penn., in 1939. In addition, he presided over the marriage ceremonies of his three children. He was a loving father, husband to Rosemma, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He is survived by daughter, Ruthanne Girardi; sons, Paul and Robert Kosower; grandchildren, Paula, Mark, Chad, Tim, Jaime, Julien, Jeff and Julianne; great-grandchildren, Jordan and Tim Kosower; daughters-in-law, Janet and Jean Kosower and brother, Karl Kosower.

He was preceded in death by parents, Rev. Jacob and Hannah Kosower, and wives, Rosemma Kosower and Lee Julsrud Kosower.

A memorial fund has been established at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Delano.

James Loeffler

Services for James Loeffler, 64, of Burtrum and formerly of Greenfield were Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2001, at the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo.

Rev. Delburn Kurtz officiated. A memorial service was also Saturday, Oct. 13, at Brighter Days Family Church in Burtrum.

Mr. Loeffler died Saturday, Oct. 6, at the V.A. Medical Center in Minneapolis.

He was born in Greenwood Township, Hennepin County, Feb. 18, 1937, the son of Delbert and Edna Vergin Loeffler.

He was baptized March 18, 1937, at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Greenwood Township. He was also instructed in the Lutheran Catechism and confirmed in the Christian faith April 2, 1950, at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Greenwood Township.

Mr. Loeffler was employed for many years as an over-the-road truck driver. He enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by his, wife Donna Mae Loeffler of Spring Hill; children, Stanley Loeffler of Avon, Steven (Darlene) Loeffler of St. Cloud, Deanna (Charles) Koopmeiners of Grey Eagle, Paul Loeffler of Burtrum, Julianna (William) Jex of Grey Eagle, Ronald (Tammy) Loeffler of Spring Hill and Marianna (Dean) Parker of Westbrook; grandchildren, Amanda, Kurt, Karla, James, Jessica, Shannon, Sarah, Jaynnah, Kara, Kayla, Kandi and Kody; great-grandchildren, Abby, Andrew and Corey; mother, Edna Loeffler of Delano; sisters, Joann (Jack) Hoppe of Victor, Mont. and Diane (Cleon "Butch") Meyer of Greenfield; a brother, Wayne (Gail) Loeffler of Greenfield; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Myron Loeffler; and by grandchildren, Karl Koopmeiners and Eli Parker.

Kenny McAlpine

Services for Kenneth "Kenny" McAlpine, 48, of Rogers were Thursday, Oct. 18, 2001, at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Dayton.

Mr. McAlpine died suddenly Monday, Oct. 15.

He was a charter member of the Rogers Lions Club, having 25 years of perfect attendance.

Fellow Lions club charter member Jack Hines said the community will remember the work and dedication offered by Mr. McAlpine.

"He worked very hard in all of our functions," Hines said. "He was just always there and helped us out with equipment if we needed it. He and his wife kept track of all the history of the Rogers Lions."

Mr. McAlpine was part owner of McAlpine Bros. Well Drilling on Hwy. 101.

"He was just fun-loving, but he had a macho style," Hines said. "He loved to ride his motorcycle, and just knowing Kenny, he probably wanted to go fast!"

His family also said he enjoyed golf, camping and racquetball.

"He was very active," Hines said. "Whether the Lions were playing softball, he was playing softball. If they had a dancing function, he would be dancing. If I would call him up for anything in the community, he would be willing to help."

Mr. McAlpine was born Oct. 8, 1953, in Princeton, Minn., to Clarence and Eunice McAlpine, and was the eighth of 10 children. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Dayton, and graduated from Elk River High School in 1971. He then worked full time in the well-drilling business with his father and brothers. In 1977, he and his brother, Bruce, became partners in McAlpine Bros. Well Drilling.

He was united in marriage to Mona Donahue Oct. 12, 1974, at St. Martin's Catholic Church. He has three daughters, Jill Heuer, Robyn and Annie.

He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and living life to the fullest.

Mr. McAlpine was preceded in death by his nephews, Pat and Dan McAlpine.

He is survived by his wife, Mona; children, Jill (Michael Heuer), Robyn and Annie; parents, Clarence and Eunice McAlpine; three brothers, Richard (Geri), Roger and Bruce (Nancy); and six sisters, Kathy Larson, Shirley (Rob) Dreissig, Carol Bartness, Sharon (Larry) Wiess, Joan (Mark) Scharber, and Clarice (Wayne) Simonson.

He is also survived by parents-in-law, Bill and Ruth Donahue and their children, John Donahue, Cindy Beebe (Tom), Margie MacLachlan (Jim), Kathy Neiber (Dave), Mary Jo Donahue, Michael Donahue and Joey Donahue (Krista).

He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and countless friends.

Adeline McGray

A memorial gathering for Adeline McGray, 86, of Bloomington, formerly of St. Michael, was Saturday, Oct. 20, 2001, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Friendship Hall, Bloomington.

Mrs. McGray died Wednesday, Oct. 17. She is preceded in death by two sisters, Lola Ritchie and Evelyn Johnson Brokl; and a brother, Oliver Osterberg.

She is survived by husband of 63 years, Leslie; son, Michael (Deb) of St. Michael; daughter, Merry (Don) Olson of St. Michael; four grandchildren, Erik (Heather), Andrew (Sachi), Sara and Abbe; four great-grandchildren; brother, Spencer Osterberg of Minneapolis; sister, Gladys (Robert) Anderson of Edina; nieces, nephews and many friends.

Mary Maguire

Services for Mary V. Maguire, 58, of Rogers were Monday, Oct. 15, 2001, at Maple Grove Covenant Church.

She died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2201, after a courageous eight-year battle with breast cancer. She has gone home to be with her Lord and Savior.

Mrs. Maguire is survived by husband, Michael; children, Carol (Dirk) Hunter of La Crosse, Wis., Michele (Mitch) Poss of Antioch, Ill., Kimberly (Tom) Bell of White Bear Lake and Patrick Maguire of Los Angeles; nine grandchildren, Kelly and Zachary Hunter, Erin, Matthew, Benjamin and Emily Poss, and Jackson, Madison and Samuel Bell; Thomas and Josephine Kelly; and brother, Andy (Diana) Kelly.

Patricia Newman

A Celebration of Life service for Patricia A. Newman, 47, of Champlin will be Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2001 at 11 a.m., with a reviewal one hour prior, at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 14501 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Oct. 9, from 5 to 8 p.m.

Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery.

Mrs. Newman died Saturday, Oct. 6, after a courageous six year battle with cancer. She touched many with her love, inspiration and her vibrance for life.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Monica Rodin and brother, Charles Rodin.

Survivors include her husband of 21 years, Mark; sons, Eric and Ray; father, Richard Rodin; sisters, Mary Jo Dancisak and Carmen Skow; in-laws, Jerry and Lucille Newman; brothers-in-law, Terry (Laura) Newman and Mike Newman; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Jeanie Mae Olson

Services for Jeanie Mae Olson, 76, of Delano, formerly of Cambridge, were Monday, Oct. 8, 2001, at Lyndale Lutheran Church in Independence.

Rev. Lyndon Nygaard officiated and interment was in Delano Public Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Kevin McCabe, Jack Daughty, Archie Olson, Jr., Kermit Olson, Jr., Wayne Olson and Clayton Olson.

Mrs. Olson died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2001, at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia. She was born July 15, 1925, in Minneapolis to Matthew and Cecilia (Kremer) McCabe. She was married to Clifford R. Olson.

Mrs. Olson was preceded in death by husband, Clifford; two brothers; one sister and one grandson.

She is survived by daughter, Judy and son-in-law, George Ramola of Delano; grandchildren, Jason and Jennifer Ramola; brother, Raymond McCabe and many nieces and nephews.

Lucille A. Reibestein

Lucille A. Reibestein, 100, of Osseo, died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2001, in Robbinsdale.

Services were Oct. 19 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with interment at Calvary Cemetery in St. Paul.

She was born March 13, 1901, in Belvidere, Ill.

She is survived by niece, Joen Bennett of Tennessee; grand nephews, John Bennett (Janet) of North Carolina, Frank Bennett (Elizabeth) of Georgia; grand niece, Harriet Smith of Tennessee; great grand niece, Erin Smith of Tennessee; adopted family, Clarence and Alberta Ruf of Florida, Nancy Ruf of Virginia, Don Ruf of Spring Lake Park, Jean (Jim) Gookin of Ramsey, and Jackie and James Gookin of Ramsey.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George F.

A member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, she also was a former president of the Chamber of Commerce and of the Osseo Book Club, and was active in Friends of the Library. She also was a 31-year owner of Osseo Department Store.

She was active in the Osseo Senior Citizen Center, where she served on the board and was president in 1986, and was a former member of the Osseo Senior Citizen Housing Committee

If desired, memorials may be given to the Lucille A. Reibestein memorial fund.

Merle Rocheleau

A memorial mass and service for Merle A. Rocheleau, 76, of Katy, Texas, formerly of Maple Grove, was conducted Friday, Oct. 5, 2001, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Brooklyn Park.

Mr. Rocheleau died Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2001, in Texas

Survivors include his wife, Marie; six children, Mark Rocheleau, Gary Rocheleau, Carol Sweasy, Ellen Hinds and Jennifer Rocheleau of Minnesota and Mary Tracy of Houston, Texas; 17 grandchildren and five siblings.

Memorials may be sent to the National Parkinson Foundation.
